Unfortunately on the day of our move. The 26 foot truck we had booked two weeks before became unavailable. Jay, at this location was able to secure a 15 foot truck for us, thankfully as it would have impacted two households moving. We had to reload the truck several times which was inconvenient, but managed to get it done and return the truck ontime.DALE S.

I arrived to pick up cargo van rented online at 6:30 pm. Clerk told me UHaul counter closed at 5 pm and was unhelpful. He said to follow online reservation instructions. It was pouring rain outside. I exited store and UHaul reservation instructed me to complete transaction online. My password wouldn't, work and my attempts to reset were unsuccessful. I called UHaul and waited 12 minutes for an agent. She began to help and we were disconnected. I called again and waited another 10 minutes. Second agent was wonderful, My brother arrived to hep me and took over call. It took a further 22 minutes to complete rental. I was soaking wet and my phone lost power. The dolly I had requested was not in the van provided. The return 2 days later took 5 minutes and was effortless, My experience was super stressful and unpleasant. Not happy !,,,,Kristi H.

They botched the mobile pickup. the truck was boxed in behind other trucks and the key code was not provided in the app.Gary B.
I had to switch trucks because the mileage was wrong on the first one and it was dirty inside. When I returned the vehicle late the process worked but there was no key drop that I could use to drop the key. I called 1800 go U-Haul and was on hold for an hour with nobody answering. My only options were to go back in the morning with the key or to lock it inside the vehicle knowing the operator would have another key. I had to do the latter. This location needs a key drop that works like the one at Station St in Ajax.... and someone should answer the phone to help.CHRISTOPHER W.

I had to return the trailer and truck to the location that I rented it from which was a terrible inconvenience. The trailer was dirty and the hitch on the original truck was bent and I had to put the trailer on myself to determine that it would not fit. the site did not offer any assistance in putting things together or to ensure that I understood how to safely connect the trailer to the truck.Ivan C.

I will never go to this location ever again. Ever. Again. Someone left a set of keys in the car before my 24hr rental, got a call from the manager asking to bring them back that evening by 8pm (I still had 15 hours left). Had to change my plans and bring them back in time, brought back truck with a little less of what I was given, and they charged me $80 for gas. Inconvenienced my move. Gave me a truck with less then a quarter tank of gas. And then charged me 1.50/lTR when I did them a favour. Go somewhere else. Don't even bother with this location.Jonathan T.

the directions on how to get the key were very unclear. On the page it said How to get key then Gas up instructions then way at the bottom word tank(apparently tank was the password but we thought it had to do with putting gas in the truck). We had to call customer service and it took an hour to finally get the key. Very Frustrating!Christopher T.
A walk around of the truck when renting. When renting the truck I explicitly told the attendant that the truck was at a half tank of gas and not full and he acknowledged that fact and said it was OK. On the contract he circled what looked to me was a half tank (turned out to be 5/8- didn't notice 3 days after receiving my bill). The rental ended up costing me a $70.51 for driving $75 miles. As a result I am certain that this location is scamming renters on fuel charges. ( a simple check of the renters charges before me would have resolved this issue.) Uhaul should audit the charges for the renter after me as well to make sure that his/her contract fuel capacity is consistent to what I was charged for)ALEX M.

No place to leave your car on site while renting a U-hall from the location. It would be good to allocate a few spots for renters. The truck wasn't clean in the cargo area or passenger area. Too much personal info was given to U-hall to hold in their systems not sure how secure or privately held the taken info is.mihran B.

All trucks there are dirty and poorly maintained. The truck I got was so dirty, and made my furniture dirty, and ruin my new carpet. The owner was reluctant to teach me how to adjust dashboard light and mirror. After I returned the truck, the owner called me and said that she will charge me extra $25 to clean the truck.Zhuoer W.
Vehicle was a dirty and unsafe to drive, needs to be pulled off the road now. I told the UHaul attendant but they did not care. They knew the vehicle had over 100 X's marking damage, the drivers side door would not open due to a previous accident, gear shift was falling off centre console in cab was falling off. Our rental was moved from downtown Toronto to Pickering. This meant we had to drive our car to and from the Pickering location twice as they do not allow parking there. I also needed as extra person to drive with me there. We were compensated $50 which does not compensate for the time, extra gas, or kms.Nicholas W.

On the improvement side, the trailer I rented needed servicing as the hitch did not tighten sufficiently onto the ball. Gave the wrong code for key drop off so I had to under there .The morning after I had to Uber (extra expense) to drop the keys .women working there started yelling at me infront of customers , which was extremely embarrassing. Communication is very poor. I spent time over the phone updating all my info with the rep only to show up and its all wrong. Lack of customer service. The driver door on the truck barely closes. You can hear wind throughout the drive. The brake system is horrible as well.abel E.

Good Day, I would like to speak with a Manager about the experience at the Pickering location and Mondays harassing calls (3x) from that location about it's D I S G U S T I N G service. I live in Whitby, booked to pick up close to the location I was travelling to, Colborne for a vehicle pickup in Castleton. Then I was called that my booking was changed to Pickering. That means travelling an EXTRA 1 hour rntrip and added FUEL COST. Calculated by Whitby , then West to Pickering then East to Whitby and then starting my trip East. Once completed, I returned the trailer to the Warden location where I was directed to park the trailer in the middle row by the Attendant. I then asked if it was ok and if any paperwork needs to be completed - he said everything was fine. Total time 6.5hours of use. Should I require Uhaul service in the future - I will definitely NOT ACCEPT anything from the 550 Finch Pickering location. AVOID this location at all costs - very Unprofessional bunch.GABOR L.

I was overcharged for mileage rate after several reminders were given to uhaul. The truck was FILTY!!!!!!!!!!! We are still in a pandemic and not only was the truck filthy from a covid standpoint, it was DISGUSTING any way you cut it. The cup holders were caked with old grime and stickiness, there were crumbs all over the floor. Even when I asked the location to please clean it, they only wiped the steering wheel and seat. I'm totally disgusted with this rental and it's laughable I had to pay for this at all. If I get sick I'm coming after uhaul hard..Steve W.
GOOD - The staff at the location was very helpful processing my pickup and my drop off BAD - My truck was not ready for 24/7 pickup. My contract specified Truck Share 24/7 and I spoke with the location the day before to confirm. When I arrived the website said I needed to wait until the store opened. This delayed my start by approx 45 mins. When I got in the truck it had not been cleaned - there was a used mask on the passenger floor and food wrappers in the door pockets. UGLY - the primary reason for renting the truck was for the towing/trailer hitch. When I attempted to connect my trailer wiring/lights the left turn signal didn't work. After 45 minutes of troubleshooting we connected another truck to the trailer and the lights worked fine. The trailer wiring in the truck is faulty and I was force to drive using hand signals.David M.

Hours are limited therefore requiring mobile pick up before 9:30am. Mobile pick up was incredibly slow - took over 30 minutes and required calling in when my reservation sat in pending mode. Waited 20mins in a queue for someone to answer My call. Once they did, the balance of the process was quick. This wasn't the location's fault. Corporate was horrifically slow and the chat option that opens while you're processing your pick up through your phone remained unanswered the whole time. Upon drop off I took the key in and she told me I didn't need to wait - that she's process it within an hour. 3 hours later my return hadn't been processed so I called the location directly and she processed it then. Not the greatest experience but the van was clean and functioned well, meeting my moving needs. For that I am very grateful given it was a last minute reservation.Amy C.

used them for a one day truck rental on 12 August 2020. Its a small convenience store with a UHaul counter that's been doing UHaul business for more than 10 years same owners. I had pre-booked on-line, counter pick-up, I was out of there with the rental in approx 10 minutes. No issues with the truck. Mother & Son operation, attentive, smiled, know what they're doing, but the UHaul paperwork is too long. On return same quick fast service, no issues, the Bill was right.
