Saul GI had worse experience at this automated location (which does not have live staff) than at locations where I can talk to people. The app was not getting my location, even though I set permissions. I had to call for help. I was directed to go through the website, but in the end we run into an issue that emergency contact had to be phoned in and confirmed. It took a while to reach my wife to confirm. After that, it took many tries and attempts to scan the back of the driver license. All in all, I spent over an hour getting the truck keys. Once I had the keys, the app / website had trouble accessing photos, so I couldn't contest fuel level, which was slightly below what it said it is online. In the future I will look for locations with live staff in it.

JAMIE FThe only problem with the truck is that the steering was very bad. It felt like the steering wheel was connected to the front wheels with a rubber band. I mentioned this to the associate when I dropped off the truck and she took it seriously and said she would have it taken care of. Otherwise the truck was clean and in good condition.

Babak Ri originally went to the one up the street a bit, but the guy there was so incompitent i walked out. the second place i went to, the woman was very nice and helpful, and getting the truck was a bleeze. the truck though was pretty beat up and dirty and had some stearing issues

Lin-Wei WShop was closed during reservation/business hours and owner was unprofessional. It took me 2 hours to get my rental. Rental had a horrible smell inside the cab and no gas in the tank. The right rear tire was also low upon pick up.
Shay SI dropped my keys in the lock box by accident was stranded without my keys, car, my purse in a bad scary area at almost dark. I could not get any one from this location to come and was told by U-Haul that no matter what I would just have to wait till morning to get my keys. This was the most awful situation. I was tried and dirty from moving . Everyone needs to know if there is an emergence such as this that U-Haul will leave you to die.

Amanda VThe address of the location is incorrect--it took us to a paint shop. We had to call the shop for the actual location. The person managing the shop later on ended up by charging for things we didn't ask for such as the insurance coverage and gas that wasn't needed. Would recommend you find an official U-haul location if possible.

Chandler CWe originally were suppose to drop off the truck to the Oceanside location. However, after picking up the truck we were contacted by a corporate office To switch our location to the Vista office because the Oceanside office was at capacity. Come to find out the Oceanside office was not at capacity and so it appears we were made to go out of our way for no reason. On top of that, it appears the corporate office didn't even have a conversation with the Oceanside office to ensure that this was the proper move....a little disappointing. Next time I rent a uhaul I will make sure to only communicate with the local offices.

grace cBill them correctly. Have employees there on time who do not change insurance orders on customer check-in, misrepresent cleanliness of equipment on return and overcharge for gas.Keep homeless people sleeping on property from accosting and intimidating customers. Horrendous experience.

MICHAEL GWash and clean trucks, offer better mileage rates and discounts for military, seniors or Costco members. I appreciated the drop off box!
Pamela WThe website and the app were both problematic, I had to call the support line to pick up the truck, and I had to have my brother download the app to do the return with his phone, because it wouldn't work on mine.
Katherine LWaited 90 minutes for someone to show up and help us pick up a truck. Got there at 8 am and it was supposed to be a mobile pick up. Could not because the truck was not check in. The store was supposed to open at 8:30, but no one showed up until 9:15 am and then we had to wait until 9:30 for everything to get checked in and us to leave. And I had to call the guy and wake him up. The truck was old, and the engine made a terrible noise, the steering was so loose that it drove like a clown car. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM U-HAUL AGAIN.

FRED LOmar was AMAZING!! I called online and needed a truck the same night. I was told this location was open until 11:45PM. I set up a 24 HR pickup and was given no explanation of what was expected and that I would have to sign in on my phone to check out the truck. I called the location number to validate the type of truck that was reserved. The call went to the owners cell phone. He had already left and closed the office for the day. He was SOOO very patient and explained that his office was already closed and I would have to pick up the truck using my phone. I was disappointed that the office was already closed and I wouldn't have anyone there to support me through the process. Omar drove back to the office and and met me there to help support me through the process!!!! I had a deadline to move my stepmothers belongings (she had just passed away over the Thanksgiving holiday). Needless to say, I was stressed and not familiar with the steps needed to check out a UHaul on my phone. Also, once I arrived, my phone had very little battery left and my internet access was not pulling up the pages to sign in. If Omar had not drove back to the office, I would not have met the deadline to remove my step mothers belongings. I was SUPER impressed with his patience and AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE to take his time to return to the office and support me. WAY TO GO OMAR, your level of customer service is hard to find in this "AUTOMATED" world. Nice to know there are still humans who interact and CARE about their customers. THANK YOU hardly shows how appreciative I was that you went the extra mile.
DENISE BIt was closed and I almost left ...the signs were not very bold or big and not the regular U-Haul signs....the lock box was on the side of the building and not immediately visible.
