It was a Saturday at noon and the place was not open. The space was completely fenced in and locked up. I called the phone number and it said to leave a message and the voicemail was full. We saw a black box on the side of a building (unmarked) and just guessed it was a rental key return box. Everything about this return was unprofessional, unclear and I was concerned I didn't even return the key in the right spot. Another customer was walking around the building at the same time trying to figure out how to drop off his rental as well. Not good.

We could not drop off the trailer we rented at the location we were directed to( Bluffton, SC). There were 3 empty spaces for trailers but they refused us and sent us 26 miles to Beaufort, SC!!!!!!!! That was too much after an exhausting 20 hour trip from Michigan. Just to drop off a trailer, we added an extra 52 miles to our already long trip!!! Ridiculous!!

I tried renting from problem solvers.on a Wednesday. I booked a rental for 9am.i waited till 1020am.me and 4 other renters..Noone received a uhaul!the gates was locked,noone answered the posted number and the mailbox was full.i called customer service and she said she spoke to the manger.she said she was inside and would come out to help me.20 minutes later Noone..and as far as Jennifer the manager..always on vacation there's noone to fill in.i own a business and its all starts with management!!!and as you all know I'm not the first or last to complin!!!an hour of my life wasted..and still waiting for my 50$..credit.but I will say I went back yesterday and the kid working there should be manager.!!looks like yall have decisions to make

I was moving cross country and needed to load the truck 10 days prior to leaving the state. The U-Haul would sit in a parking lot for the allotted time. I explained that I would be turning in the Uhaul at a later date and she said she would include that on the contract . I paid 1700 for the contract. When I returned the U-Haul I was charged an additional 700 dollars . I was told the additional days were included on the first contract. The second charge should have never occurred and put me in a situation I shouldn't have to be in.

This is the second time I've dropped off there and no one is around. You can't call them because the voicemail is always full and no one calls back. The UPS store in the front says they have bad service every day. You should stop doing business with these people. If I could give them a negative 10 I would.

Zero customer service had to pull my trailer out of a field in the woods I am disabled and this wasn't pleasant tore kept going flat no wiring harness provided to go from trailer to truck was short about two feet hitch lock down was seized had to spray wd40 myself to get it to move and the trailer looked like a crime scene and was disgusting

Location is a disaster. No signage to indicate the office. At return there was no one around but the doors were open. No key drop box, had to leave the key on the office chair. Hoping they can find it amid all of the debris scattered about.

There was no office and no one there. I had to call the business number to reach someone. I was told where we could find the trailer and asked if there was someone who could hook it up with me. I said yes and that was it. Never saw one person there.

What a complete NIGHTMARE that STILL IS NOT OVER! I have no issues with the Albany, NY location. They had their act together, and were very friendly, BUT Beaufort, SC is a completely different story (this is where I had my pods shipped to). My pods were never delivered on time, and I had to rent a Penske truck to unload the UHaul pods myself, and reload the truck only to unload them again at my home. I turned in 7 of my 8 pods in on 6/25 and was still charged ALL 8 box storage fees for July on 6/26, still fighting to get that money back. The Beaufort SC location's forklift was broken, so they could not load the pods onto a truck. When you called the Beaufort location, the rep had the phone on forward to her personal cell phone #, and the VM box was full, and you could not leave a message. Once I finally got through after a WEEK, she had a mouth on her like a trucker. Not to mention I had been sleeping on a piece of foam on a hardwood floor in my new house because my stuff was never delivered. I drove over to where my pods were, and the place was completely unsecured, gate wide open as was the front door. The place was a complete pig sty. I took pictures of the office. When I asked at the building next door where somebody was, they said she left for the day. The place closes at 5:00 PM, and I was there at 3:45 PM. A field manager got involved, and somewhat helped the situation. I think it was beyond his pay grade and knowledge of what to do. That location needs to have their UHAUL license revoked. Now I have to fight with my credit card company to get 7 pod fees out of 8 refunded back to me. I could go on, and on, and on, but it's not worth my time or energy! It's been a complete nightmare.

Worst location imaginable. They are never are onsite, and never answer their phone. Non- existent. I can't imagine how anyone ever rens one of the 50 or so trailers on location as they are never there. Another customer who happened to be dropping off was just as frustrated as I was as are the remnants in buildings that are adjacent to this place. Really bad and you should do something with it.

Equipment was dirty and not available on time. Staff unhelpful and difficult to reach on the phone. Staff left location to get food while we were waiting for the trailer to be cleaned past scheduled pick up time. This delayed our trip several hours.

My experience with uboxes went well up until the point of unloading my boxes at Problem Solvers. I scheduled for my boxes to be unloaded on a particular day, however upon arrival the location, my boxes were not ready. In addition, there was no one on site to retrieve my uboxes for unloading. I called the number that was posted on the door and the worker said she was 10 minutes away. She had a bad attitude and was very unprofessional. About 45 minutes later she finally arrived to retrieve our boxes so that we could unload them. This was a huge inconvenience as we had the moving truck scheduled and were being charged by the hour. In addition, I was charged for monthly storage of the boxes the week after I had already unloaded the boxes. I had to call uhaul several times for a refund. Problems Solvers has terrible reviews for their lack of customer service. I am disappointed that uhaul continues to use a business that has poor business practices and customer service. This place is by far the worst uhaul location I have ever been too!

The location had no in-person office so you had to call a number that was on a gate, which took about 15 minutes to find. Once we did that, it was quite unprofessional- dogs, kids etc. in the background and the whole check-in experience was sub-par, however that was nothing compared to the return experience. There were no instructions or signs as to where to drop off the keys and after trying to reach the office phone number for over two hours, we finally called the 1-800 number and a very nice lady, Monica McQuade assisted us by sending us a picture of the building where there was a supposed lockbox. However, this turned out to be incorrect and she made arrangements for us to leave the keys in the truck so we didn't have to waste anymore of our time.

2nd time I've dropped here in last week. Last Tuesday no one on site, no signage, trailers scattered everywhere. Today no one on site. Another lady scheduled for pickup, called and was tokd she needed to hookup by herself. Lady called Uhaul corporate and eventually local person came out to “help”. She was rude, dressed in pajamas and proceeded to chew us out because she didn't like where we dropped our trailer. Uhaul needs to investigate this location. I checked out on- line, but I don't trust these people.

It's an unattended dirt lot. Have a location that you know you're at the right place when you show up, and have the attendant answer the phone and call back those who leave voicemails.

The truck was clean and in good shape. The car dolly was in disrepair––the frame was broken, the wheel well was sitting on top of the tire and the tire was leaning. There was no brake light at all on the left side.

I don't have as much of a problem with the Parris Island location as I do with the pickup process in general. I was supposed to pickup at a Bluffton U-Haul location, but when I got there they informed me that I was actually supposed to now pickup 45 minutes away at Parris Island. I did not receive a notification (email, text, or call) despite them telling me I should have to inform me of the last minute switch. To make matters worse, the location at Parris Island was completely contactless and actually had no one physically there so I had to load my car onto the tow dolly myself which is not advised as I didn't have a spotter, plus I've never done it before. The Bluffton location had a few staff members helping clients. Also to top it off, when I arrived at the Bluffton location my car was damaged by the automatic gate there, and I'm likely having to take legal action as they seem unlikely to cooperate. Overall just sorely disappointed with my pickup experience and feel I probably won't use U-Haul again despite this being my first time.

Allow the drop off location to be closer to the final address. We passed 2 other locations to reach the one where we finally returned it. We could have returned it Friday evening if we hadn't had to go back through evening traffic.

Nice and helpful on the phone but that's if you can actually get someone on the phone. Key drop box is located inside the office on the floor and not mounted outside on a wall. Good luck returning your key if the office is locked or no one is there.

I called to begin a formal complaint regarding the service as well as the condition of the truck. I have not heard back from anyone as yet. The truck was disgusting... trash, sticky mess all over inside the cab. Windshield so dirty hard to see out of it. Brakes were squealing & the a/c didn't work. I called back twice to initial rental location & phone wasn't answered & it rolled over to another phone which had a full voicemail box. I didn't receive paperwork with a breakdown of charges as promised on phone until I returned truck at drop off location & didn't get credits as promised. This was a cross country trip from SC to NH. I feel not only totally offended by the conditions of truck but that there were safety issues with the truck.

Have correct information about gas in the vehicle. Have personal there to pick up the phone when issues arise. Don't charge for gas when the customer did everything they were suppose to do to not get a fee.

This location did have a UHaul sign out front but was not easily visable after that. No rep. Note on door to call a number. Called and was told shed be up in about half an hour to check truck in and to leave the key in the unlocked truck. That did not seem right to me.

No on-site or over the phone help Truck took over 48 hours to be checked back in after use Windshield wipers on rental completely un serviceable I've rented from here numerous times .... This was and will be the last time It should never take 45 minutes to access a truck after checking in days ahead for pick up of rental This locations business practice and customer service practices should be looked into for the U haul name's sake ...10 unanswered calls through out two business days is beyond unacceptable

Arrived at 12:00 on pickup date at this facility. Gate locked, called the local number on the sign, no answer, left a voice mail. No call back. Called UHaul customer service, after a brief hold I was instructed to acces the equipment yard through the back entrance and pickup the truck. The truck was unlocked and the key was above the visor. The exterior of the truck was filthy. I took several pictures but, failed to notice that the gasket around the windshield had come out in a 2' section in the middle top area. Called UHaul customer service, I was directed to return the truck for exchange to a different location. Arrived there, the office was closed. Called the local number, got this response “the wireless caller has a mail box which is full” Called UHaul customer service, was directed to a 3rd location to swap out the truck. Your rep made arrangements for the manager to remain open until I arrived. Finally able to get the truck 4 and a half hours later. The bill: I checked my bank and saw that I was charged for insurance that I did not elect. I called the number on my receipt(the original pickup location) The customer service rep asked me how I obtained the original truck. As I explained, she stated “you stoled our truck” then hung up on me. By now I'm just enjoying the entertainment value of this experience. Called UHaul customer service again. Was told I would receive a credit of $116.25($56.25 for insurance that wasn't elected and $50.00 for my inconvenience) Turned your truck in yesterday just before noon. This morning at 9:07 I received a text showing the truck was returned at 4:00 pm in April 18. That's 4 hours and 20 minutes from now???? I understand that we are living in very challenging times however, if your company says “We are an essential business during the COVID-19 pandemic “ Perhaps you should train your partners to provide customer service instead lip service. Charged me multiple times and mixed up customer information and driver information. I paid over $400 on a 1 day, in-town rental. The total charge was about $133. However, most of the random spam charges dropped off. What didn't drop off is the $90 they still owe me. This has been going on for a week and now I cannot get in touch with them. They are not answering my calls or returning voicemails. I own a business and rent these trucks from other locations on a regular basis. This is absolutely absurd. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Apparently I am not the first person they have done this to.

The driver's side seat belt connector didn't work and you had to use the middle seat connector to have your seat belt connected. The seat belt indicator continually went off. Also I have 3 charges pending on my credit card for one truck rental and no credits although the owner stated that she fixed the the mistake. If they try and charge me 3 times, I will get my credit card company to start an investigation because this is ridiculous. .

I spent 5, yes 5, hours on the phone arranging pickup. I then called three times to check the order. First time the date was wrong, second call the time was wrong, third time it seemed to be ok. Every call from the 5 hours to the three calls I mentioned my husband and I would trailer the single with our F150 and the movers would take the double. This was not in the record and the operator at the facility did not have everything ready. On top of that when I tried to call the facility directly all calls but one went to voice mail and then the voicemail was full and the phone hung up. Don't even get me started on your 800 number. If anyone wants to know they can call me!

Odometer was not accurate on my truck. UHaul attempted to charge me for 501 miles when I only drove 27 miles.

They charged me twice. The 1st van was full of trash so they dispatched me another one. That one was just as filthy, although empty, so I took it. I was then put on a bank hold for BOTH vehicles and then overcharged. I took pictures before and after and I have yet to be given any of my money this location has stolen from me. Do NOT recommend this location. They're nasty and unprofessional.
