I had ordered a dolly online with my truck and no dolly was provided. My pick up time was earlier than the store hours so I couldn't add an extra. Although when I returned the truck the manager was very nice and I felt like a valued costumer. **For the company as a whole: you need to work out the glitches in your online services. I tried to set up my online account and got to the verification step and it wouldn't send anything to either my phone or email, I had to call costumer support to fix it. Once I had my account set I had to attach my trip and I entered my order # multiple times and various times throughout the day and it told me it could not complete the action and to try again later. I had to call costumer support. And the day of the trip I go through the check in steps and take pictures of my licence and the person on the other end claims I took a picture of a photo copy so I had to go in person to verify it's me, when all of the Uhaul reps are closed at 7am in my small town... I had to call costumer support to cancel my current order and place a whole new order over the phone and then finally I was able to get on the road.

We were given a confirmation for the small trailer for $47 the day before we fleet a message saying they did not have one. That we could pick one up in Rice Lake, Wi an hour and 10 minutes away!!! So we ended up have to get a larger trailer which was around $90! This felt like a bait and switch. Very disappointed.

Tim was great - very helpful. Only suggestion would be to have more OPEN hours. Closed on Wednesday's and do not open until 10 AM. These hours limit flexibility .

The truck we were supposed to rent wasn’t available and then getting another truck (SMALLER) cost the same amount of money and took over an hour to get. It was frustrating to have people waiting to move me and I couldn’t even get the truck in a timely manner and such incompetent service as well. In addition, the whole reason we drove out of the way to this particular location was to get that specific size truck and this was arranged in advance...but when the day came, it was a total cluster and nothing was actually better. We could’ve rented the same size truck we ended up with closer to our home. Very frustrating.

It took me over two hours to get the u-haul. I had to call customer service six times. The first person sounded bored to speak with me. The second, third and fourth person blamed me for not reading the directions properly and told me they were going to cancel my rental instead of trying to help me get the uhaul. The sixth person was the same person I got the first time I called. He sounded even more bored the second time. I finally asked to speak to a supervisor. After I sat on hold for almost 10 minutes, the worker comes back to tell me someone could speak with me. By that time, I had finally figured out how to get the uhaul through the mobile option. The customer service was horrible. Everyone I spoke with acted like they were doing me a favor by answering the phone. The mobile pick up and drop off directions were not clear. I was so late getting the uhaul, I had to pay to rent it for ANOTHER day. When I called to reserve for a second day, I had to call three times. The first two people told me they couldn't do the extension. The first one transferred me to a department that was closed for the day. The third person finally did it for me. This is awful customer service. Not to mention, the uhaul had French fries and dirt all over it. I deserve a refund. Never using uhaul again!!

I would recommend prepper Joe’s as the only place to use U-Haul in Hayward because at WK appliance the lady out there was a total jerk she would not allow me to return my trailer to her location she should not be a U-Haul representative get rid of WK appliance this lady actually had the guts to sit in her chair and yell at me as I’m walking out the door totally disrespect for the customer what so ever.

U haul rental is expensive. Knowing that most people still have to use you at some point in their life. If you really want to show customers that you aren't just a greedy corporation looking to bleed us of every penny you can why not allow the customer to change drop off locations? If the truck/trailer is needed at the initial drop off location for another customer but you still won't allow the location to change its obvious you do that in order to make sure we can't save money by doing so. I found a much closer drop off location, one I didn't know was available and that would have saved us over 100 miles, I called and stated my case and all she could tell me was No. No it can't be changed. She didn't even bother to lie and say the truck was reserved at the current location therefore needed to be brought there. Just No. That tells me that during the very stressful time of moving our household you were only interested in making as much money off our family as possible. Not there to be helpful as you claim.

They need to warn you that the location doesn't open until 10am when you reserve a truck for 8am... and then i had to wait 15 minutes on the phone for help and then had to do the remote app sign in and i didn't actual get my truck til 9 but was still charged for the full 8 hours.. and the furniture blankets and dolly were not in the truck but i got charged for them anyway.. and since the location was not open for business i couldn't get it rectified.. very disappointing experience.

I rented a trailer and was offered no help at all in hitching it up. U-haul is obviously a sideline to their gun and used chainsaw sales and adult "novelties". They refused to take back extra boxes even though it says they are returnable right on the box
