Kwoa Dit would be helpful for staff to be knowledgeable of Insurance options as well as the U-Haul website.
Gracie MI dropped the keys off and expected to have a walk around inspection completed and to have confirmation paperwork that the the fuel and mileage of the truck were satisfactory and all returned as expected. I had to ask the representative to come and do the inspection and I still did not receive anything other than a verbal confirmation that the truck, fuel, and mileage were satisfactory. I have never had such an aggravating experience trying to rent a truck to move.
Heather NI was charged for safe move extra 30 bucks and I had a 1way to palms springs and I was overcharged on my miles .
Nelson SI was not happy to be charged a full day extra for bringing it back 2 hours past the 3 week rental time. I had to drive 400 miles and it wasn't fair
Andrew HI returned my U-haul 2 hours early and the place was closed. So I was rerouted to a Postal Annex very near by. The operator gave me the address but did not give me the name "Postal Annex" so I had to phone back and ask because this huge shopping mall contained 50 stores. Once I found the place the owner was unable to help me check the vehicle. I left praying all was well. He phoned me an hour later and said the vehicle was in great condition and I was cleared to go my way. So the outcome was good. It's just that in both situations I did not have anyone to circle the vehicle with me (like I am used to) All in all it was a pleasant journey but I wonder what it would have been like had there been any problems. I'm used to having a U-haul service representative's full attention when I pick up and return a U haul and this pick up and return was unnerving because these people were busy helping other customers for a completely different business. They are running an entirely different business and doing some sort of U Haul gig on the side. Over all I am not a fan and will have to think twice before using U-haul again because I'm just not sure I would get any decent service if I had a problem.

lynn dThere were only two employees and the elder seemed exhausted and overwhelmed. The younger was doing his best to take care of customers, but the elder just kept complaining about everything, (not about my rental) but about how long everything takes and how difficult it is.
Tee CThe drop off location was extremely difficult to find. It was a Postal Annex, not a well-advertised U-Haul location. This caused me to drive around trying to find the location which ended up costing me fuel which I was charged way too much for. I picked the truck up with half a tank and put fuel in it, leaving it just a hair below a half tank. I was then charged $37 for a tiny bit of fuel. What a horrible experience, not one I will ever recommend.

James MDon't let people smoke in the van. I know there are signs in there that say no smoking but it smells really bad like cigarette smoke. Needs better cleaning to get the smell out of the van. Otherwise, no problems. Gracias
Rebecca DCustomer service was so poor and he was rude, kept on taking other customers and calls after started serving me even after I told him that I have loaders waiting. I never had this bad experience in my life. First he gave me the wrong key and took time to replace. He told the tank is half full but it was totally empty. I ran back to store to tell him and he ordered me to go take picture and come back to show to him. Even then he refused to give in writing that the tank was empty.

I'm disabled, I parked the truck in the parking lot across from the store entrance, when i got inside he he told me i had to go back and get the mileage instead of helping me. I told him I needed the van at 0600, he said that was fine i could go in the back and get the key, after stepping over a homeless man i get to the box and there is no way to open it, all my arrangements were ruined. when he arrived at 0900 i didn't even get an apology much less an explanation. i am retired military. I will make sure that no veterans I know will rent from there.

Enkil SThe pick up location could not find the keys. I waited for 30 minutes to be told they did not have the keys and then I was given a U-haul 800# to fend for myself. They were not helpful at all and ultimately I was sent across town to another location and had to start the process all over again. This was after my ride was sent home and I had to call them back after they were unable to find the keys. The whole process took 2 hours. Plus the location was not air conditioned (Postal Annex) and it was miserable being in that shop in the summer time. The second location across town was much better and more helpful, but at this point the first location experience had ruined everything. Will not rent from U-haul again. Also, the truck was extremely dirty

Valencia LIf you're going to say that a location has access to the keys without a worker, then please do so because I wasted 1.5 hours trying to get the keys out of a box with no one there to open it since the app did not give me the access key. I was late to where I was supposed to go and lost $200, I would appreciate some sort of reimbursement or I will not be using this service again and will warn everyone to stay away from this company.

Elias CDid not have the van I reserved. The gas tank was completely empty and the needle was below the E on the gauge.
William SWe scheduled a 15' truck to pick up at Annex San Marcos and return in San Diego. When we got to Annex, the truck we had reserved was not available at the time and location we had scheduled. No one contacted us previously to give us a heads-up and the only solution they offered was a different rental that we had to return back to Annex instead of San Diego. This lack of professionalism forced us to change all our moving plans, put us on the road-with our baby-for more than double the time and we had to pay extra hours to the helpers we had hired. The worst service and moving experience of our lives. We will make sure not to use Uhaul services again and to let our network know about it.

Evarcito OEmployee had the worst possible attitude. He didn't want to accept my cash payment, and referred to a bookkeeping service that charged him $200 per hour to count the cash that was received. He then called after the contract was complete and said I have a balance due, when in fact I had a refund due to me. His persistently negative attitude and patronizing behavior was uncalled for. He was very inconvenienced and didn't seem to know how the booking webiste worked.
AARON DI did not get the furniture pads I rented which put us in a real bind, given it was already 5pm and we had to use the rental that evening. Pads are essential for moving, if they are ordered they absolutely need to be there with the vehicle... or don't take the reservation. I could have ordered at a different location. Bad business practice.
KYLE KThe guy working was rude. He was angry and annoyed that my rental was causing him more work. He made me do everything at check in and check out by myself, with no assistance and was trying to project his frustration in me.

MICHAEL HWhen i returned the truck, there was no instruction on how and where i should put the key. I went ahead and put it where i picked it up using the same combination, but it would be nice to clearly indicate that step. Gracias

Michelle VGot an email saying where to pick up the truck. Got to the location and it was closed. Never got a phone call to confirm. Had to call the traffic number to find out that the truck was in a different location. Signed the paperwork and got the truck only to find that the padlock on the door was put on backwards , had to go back to dealer to finally open the lock. All in all was a pretty disappointing experience
