I would like to report the location for their poor customer service and use of harsh language. The consistent bad reviews at the location should be a red flag. To summarize our experience, we returned the truck with fuel at F as stated in the rental agreement and returned it as clean as we got it but the representative was insistent on charging us for not refueling. Further he pointed to specks of dirt on the floor and said it's considered dirty and we'd be charged for the same. However when we returned the vehicle the representative left the same truck with its doors open.PRIYA V.

Booking was for 1-4PM, but store representative appeared to change it to 12:30 to 4:30 in the last min without any notification. When arrived at 1PM as originally planned, I was still asked to return by 4:30 because they need time to be ready to close store by 5PM. U-haul system should not allow booking till 5PM if the local store reps are not willing to honor it. Customers will be rushed or risk losing time, especially when some time is also needed to refill gas.NAHUSHA B.

The equipment was clean but had some issues as broken buttons over the fan control panel, and broken handle for the parking break.THIAGO P.
Excellent check out and return experience at this Postal Annex. Very friendly and efficient! A few issues: fuel was low and windows were dirty at pick up; 12V accessory socket was taped over so we could not charge phones during the long drive. But, overall, I would definitely use U-Haul at this Postal Annex again.Edmund V.

Felt scammed by the $25 brush-out penalty, for a tiny handful of dust. Same guy who loudly disputed my State-managed confidential address when I went to pick up. This just felt like retaliation in a very petty way, so will just go somewhere else next time.ALISON C.
Rude and unprofessional staff. I have rented U-haul before in MO. I was never asked or given a broom to go broom the floor of the van. And especially with no clear explanation and just by being irrespectful and redness. I had seen poor reviews about this place but went there anyway because it was closer to me. I was late by 10 minutes and the dealer started calling me and threatening that I have stolen the vehicle. He also started putting so many allegation on me and asked me to come to different location. I am being a lady I got panicked and I really don't recommend anybody to pickup the truck from this dealer. When renting out Fuel should always be full...the one I took was not full...there is always room for conflict when you return the vehicle.. Please see to that fuel is full when giving for rentPradeep N.

I like that this place was open at 7 a.m. compared to other U-Haul places that open at 9 or 10 a.m. Also, the family that runs this Postal Annex are super! I also like the computerized system that U-Haul has now. Super easy and cuts down on paperwork.CURTIS H.

The owner was not able to explain to me why I couldn't pay in cash instead of credit card. When I told him I'm thanking him out of politeness and I still couldn't understand why I can't pay in cash he got very upset. Then he continued yelling at me that he was doing me and uhaul a favor by renting their vans. Then the owner helper told me the van bed wasn't clean. I told him I didn't even use it and what he was referring to as dirt were marks embedded in the plastic cover. He tried to sweep so hard that he broke the broom. The marks didn't come off and it made him even more mad. At the same time the owner comes out and starts yelling at me from the open side door of the van. The helper tells me he was going to charge me for cleaning the van. It seems to me this man has no sense of customer service, can't explain himself, yells at his customers, and thinks he's doing customers and uhaul a favor by being in business. He seriously needs to be talked to. It was the most awful experience. This man turned a simple process to a chaos which I have never experienced in my life. When I called uhaul customer service they were very nice. She listened, reversed the $25 cleaning fee and most importantly thanked me for the business. Very professional customer service personnel. This was one of the best truck rentals I have experienced. Everything was carefully explained along with extra procedures for COVID. The person taking care of me was very well organized and thoughtful. The truck had been sanitized and was super clean. I would definitely go back.Stan W.

That location manager has problem his customer service attitude. I waited about 15 minutes to return rent van when he do clean rent van, but van was clean. If it was not clean he should charge to me cleaning fee.SANG L.

There are two staffs at the store and only one staff is helping the people that are falling in line. We supposed to pickup the truck at 4:30pm, the gentleman is busy assisting the people while the lady is doing something else. We asked her if she could help us and she just said you have to wait for your turn. But there's actually two staffs why can't she stop and help the gentleman so that the line will not be that long. Anyway, we ended up being assisted by the gentlemen because the lady is not helpful at all and we got the truck at 5:06pm. No wonder why the Google ratings of this place is 2.9 because the service is slow. No teamwork. No communication. Other colleague doesn't care with the customers. I would only give shout out to the gentleman that helped us and to all the customers in the line waiting.Benjamin B.

While returning the van, the owner gave me a broom and was like if you don't go clean the van I'll make you pay $25. He then shows pictures that clearly showed that the van WAS CLEAN. The van was clean, and he was extremely rude and just wanted me to clean it more than when I received it. It was very unprofessional him giving me the broom in the middle of the store.Fares E.

I never write reviews because I usually do not have any complaints about services in general. Im an easy-going person. But, I am writing this review to let others know and be aware of this location's poor service. 1. Express Check-in does not work (unless Uhaul defines express check-in as a service that takes 13 minutes.) - It does not work with this location. Had to wait 13 minutes to get a car key and do the paper work that I've already filled out online. Maybe I just did not know how to do it, but I was late to my appointment because of the delay. 2. Ripoff pricing. -Asked for a dolly that I forgot to add when I signed up online. The owner charged me $10, but it was $7 on the website. Brought up this information to the owner and he changed it as if he did not know about this pricing. 3. Cleaning Fee? And a broomstick?! - I used the van to move large boxes on a sunny dry day. Used for an hour. And there was no dust or whatsoever. The owner gave me a broomstick and told me to go clean the car because it was dirty. He said that I will be charged with cleaning fee. To avoid the fee, he said that I need to clean it. I did not complain and I double checked the car. It was completely clean. I brought this back up and the owner just said okay. Not sure what the intention was, but I felt disrespected with this type of service. Avoid this location.Jinsig M.

The uhaul van is given to me only for 6 hours , though I requested It for 24 hours . When I told him that I want it for some more time for moving my things , he refused my request & told to return early. My moving didn't go smooth & I was charged full rent for 24 hours. I will not recommend this location to my friend & I will think twice to rent from this location in the future.Sritej B.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Reservation Number: 27227664 I had reserved a SHARE cargo van from 2121 Laurelwood Rd Santa Clara, CA 95054. When I reached the location at 7:45pm, there was no vehicle assigned to my account!! So I called customer support, which assigned me a smaller pickup truck instead. As I was getting late to pickup a couch, I accepted the vehicle change. Now when I tried unlocking the new truck, I found that the key box didn't have the truck's key. It was already 8pm by now. And I had to reach my couch pickup spot by 8:15pm. I called customer support multiple times who just put me on hold for 10 mins twice while I was standing in cold in the parking lot. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKED!!! They didn't help me at all. The same representative came on the phone twice and just put me on hold. At 8:30pm I couldn't wait any longer, so I booked uhaul from the buggy app to another location and picked up the vehicle. I am terribly disappointed by subpar service I have received and would make sure to avoid Uhaul in the future. This is the second time I am facing the issue(last time I tried to rent a share vehicle from Oakland Reservation Number: 24972650)Harsh S.

While I would definitely come back as a customer, the exterior of the vehicle was not clean by any means. Inside was clean however, so not a big complaint. This location is run by a 3rd party so they may not be maintaining the vehicles cleanliness. Great experience with the uhaul app , made it very easyVolodymyr B.

Could a better lock that's easy to operate be available? Gosh it took a while for the lock to open and given the number of digital locks it's wiser to install to make the process much easier. The auto check out process is too in-depth asking for way too many questions and Vehicle insurance policy even for a lawyer is confusing.Tahseen A.
