I purchased a dolly and mats along with my truck rental, neither of which were there when I did self pick up. I called customer service and they said my reservation did not include them. Then later I spoke to a rep and they said the location removed the items from my reservation because they didn't have them in stock. Would have been nice to know that before pick up, would have saved me a lot of time and you wouldn't have had to call me asking when I would be returning the truck.

Only thing I can think of is providing a form that provides info on gas tank size and MPG rather than asking the person at the desk. Excellent experience overall, really liked the ability to check the truck on the pictures to say everything was okay.

steve C.It wasn't the locations fault in my poor experience. The person who helped me was very friendly and I was out the door quickly. It was a little difficult to find this location since it was out of a Postal Annex store. The problems lie in the process of getting the vehicle and corporate customer service. My location to pick up was changed the previous day to 30 min. farther the original pick up spot. I called to see if there was an alternate location between where I was driving from to the original location, but the rep was unhelpful and it seemed like they didn't even check. When I picked up from the second location, the vehicle was not there, and had been dropped off at a location another 15 min. further down the road. We essentially went out of our way 45 min. when we were on a schedule. When we picked it up, it had just been dropped off, so it was filthy and we had to wipe it down ourselves. Not to mention that this whole process was ridiculously expensive to move a small storage space. It would have probably been cheaper to have someone else move it. When I called to talk to customer service about the problems with reserving, the only discount they gave me was the $50 reservation guarantee discount. Although I had called a couple days earlier wanting to extend my reservation another day, it looks like they didn't do that. When I had called earlier to extend, I had also changed the time, because there was no way I could get it there by 11 am. The person who did the $50 refund was very friendly and even said they wouldn't charge that extra day. However, when he said I had to get the vehicle back by 11 am, I again had to reiterate that I couldn't get it there by 11 am, thus I was charged the extra day anyway. This was my first experience with Uhaul, and I can tell you that I don't think I will ever do this again.

Scott A.I think our biggest frustration with this location was at paso robles they gave us instructions to return it to Simi Valley. So being 5 minutes to Newbury Park we were inconveincied and drove 22 minutes to Simi Valley where we had been instructed to. They redirected to Newbury Park. Where 27 minutes away. It was frustrating the loss of time which can't be regained and being charged for mileage of the overdrive from TO to SV then to NP. When the direct route was TO to NP. Someone should have apologized and made it financially corrected for the inconvience.

Was given a time to pick up, went to location and the office was closed. Had to wait another 2 hours before they opened to get truck The delay caused complications as arrangements had been made assuming the earlier pick up time. Will not use U-Haul again, too complicated, too inconvenient and terrible customer service.

I travel a lot so I spend a lot of time renting cars. I wish the rental experience I get renting cars could be 50% of the great job done by the UHaul team.

Should have requested all this information at first contact. Unclear of necessity until I went to go pick up vehicle. Vehicle return was also clumsy on app but thank God for the store attendant that offered to to close out.

Adam S.Reserved van was reported stolen the night before pick up. Customer was not notified that the reserved vehicle was unavailable until arrival at Postal Annex. Customer was given a substitue vehicle larger than wanted. Windshield & mirrors were dirty and had to be cleaned by customer. Credit card used to cover vehicle while in use was mistakenly used by Postal upon return and final check out..
