The place is overgrown, with the UHaul trucks hidden in a dark corner, and the drop off box is broken, so the key was just sitting there when I dropped it off.Vincent Y.

I was sent to this location by UHaul because the Schroon Lake location was reportedly closed. When I got to Port Henry, this location was not open. The UHaul messages that I received while driving said I should go to Schroon Lake. I called UHaul for help, and at first I was told that I needed to go to Schroon Lake. After I explained that I had driven 40 extra miles to drop off the truck where UHaul wanted it, I was told Port Henry was full up and could not accept more one-way trucks. After I stood my ground, the representative relented. Then I explained that the key drop was broken open and would not close. There was already a key in it (who knows for how long). I was told to place my key in it and to take a picture of it in the box and a pic of the truck as well. I did that and went my way after being told my checkout was completed. Then, today, I got my bill. There was a $20 surcharge for the extra mileage I drove to take the truck to Port Henry (per UHaul's directions). I will not use UHaul again.John D.

I was charged for 65 plus miles but I only went 15 not understanding this also tires on the back of the truck are terrible and had to get pulled out twice in spots that I should've had no problem with flat surface please let me know what's up with the mileage I picked it up with 109250.8 miles on it and returned it with 109265. 6Craig B.

I arrived at 8am to pick up my equipment and it was not ready, I had to take only the truck and return later to pick up the auto transport, mind you this took an hour out of my day to handle on top of actually having to load my stuff up. On top of that they never cleared the snow from the trailer or the box truck. Very stressful experience.Jason Z.
This pickup facility was nearly 90 minutes away which was very inconvenient. The personnel were very friendly and helpful, but this is a gas station which appears to deal mainly in local customers. Other than location, this was a good place.Neil F.

Had an issue this time I changed pickup date and the person I spoke with said that the dealer was open I drove 45 mins there and back the place was closed... then the windshield wipers were shredded and of course it rained the entire trip then you have the nerve to charge me almost 10$ for mileage.. look my account up I've used Uhaul many time in the past years not a good way to treat a loyal customer. ??Shellie S.

Your website showed a trailer available at location that I originally wanted to pick up, only to find out that I had to drive 40 minutes each way out of my way to get the trailer. You need to present trailer availability when reservation is made, not the day before. Aside from that, no other issues.Edward M.

The transmission in the UHaul was sluggish. It had a little trouble going up some of the hills. It also had some trouble going from a stopped position to accelerating. I mention this to the employee when I dropped it off in New Windsor, N.Y.sarah B.

I checked in online because it said it would cut the check in time at pick up in half. It ended up taking 25 minutes for some reason. They got the tow dolly hooked up and I drove to pick up the vehicle I was towing and the tow dolly was broken and the top was spun so I could not use it. I called and was told to come get another one so I did. I didn't have a choice. This should have been part of the post drop off inspection. What should have been an hour chore ended up taking three. I was not offered a refund or partial refund. Unfortunately, this should have not occurred and the owner should have offered compensation since I had to use double the amount of gas and several more hours time I didn't have to waste.Bryan P.

I've rented your trailers probably a dozen times from this facility. John Eisenberg usually has the one I need in stock, and it doesn't take him more than a few minutes to make out the paperwork. He is a credit to your organization. I normally only need one of your open 5' X 9' trailers for a day. They are very well-designed and serve the purpose well. By contrast, I've twice had to rent from another nearby location, when John didn't happen to have the model I needed, and something always held me up: (1) the paperwork was not done, or (2) their printer wasn't working that day, or (3) the lights on the trailer weren't working and we had to do the paperwork all over again. It always made me appreciate the Port Henry Service Center. Thanks for asking ... and by the way, I find the rates extremely reasonable.JIM D.
