The young man who worked with me wore a mask and was helpful. The 2 older gentlemen at the location did not have masks on and the tiny office stunk of cigarette smoke. I walked right out and asked to be waited on outside, to avoid both the cigarette smoke and unmasked employees. There is a state mask order here and these were clear violations. Though the young man put his mask on to assist me, he is exposed to his coworkers all day, every day. For those reasons I would not recommend this site to anyone.Robin B.
Reserved on-line. The vehicle was at the location but it had not yet been centrally cleared/updated. I had expected a no contact rental but instead had to wait 20 minutes for the issue to be resolved and then conduct a standard rental. The UHaul app is terrible as well. One of the developers should try actually using it to rent and pick up a vehicle.Thomas M.

The guy made me sweep the back of the truck. It seemed a little obnoxious but then he explained to me that uhaul would charge me $25 if they found it dirty, so I appreciate him trying to save me money. Still obnoxious that I had to do that though. There was only a slight amount of sand in the back of the truck. Absurd.NICHOLAS S.

Waiting for the U-Haul person to finish a vehicle inspection for almost an hour was more than annoying. When he finally was free I had a question about the equipment and he told me to go look so I did. While I was gone for less than 2 minutes he took another customer and I again had to wait while he took care of that person. He should have gone to look at equipment with me to answer my question instead of starting with a new customer.Bryan C.

The location and truck were fine. My problem was that I could not return my truck via the contactless/ online return process. It crashed on step 5 of taking a picture of where the truck was left and then crashed. It did this 5 times and then it didn't count my return time until the following day. I was also on hold for 20 mins and never directly spoke to anyone, only received a response using the chat now feature.Patrick O.

I was supposed to be able to check in online and pick up my vehicle at 7:30 AM. However when I got there the online checker check in was not available despite it being confirmed. The manager was somehow aware and came in early at 7:45 to help me do it in person. So I went from angry and disappointed that my pick up was delayed to being pleased about the customer service.Jeffrey K.

I had completed everything online for a quick pickup. I was scheduled to pick up the truck at 8:30. Had peeps waiting to help with move. Arrived at 8:15. Sign on door says open at 9:00 ðŸ¤". Person arrived at 9:10 and I had to start the process all over again. Had to have been 6 other people waiting to drop off and pick up. One girl had schedule a 7:30 pick up. Someone dropped her off to pick her truck up. She waited almost two hours by the time she was waited on. The truck had such a bad smoke odor!!!Jessica H.

Through no fault of the location, I was extremely frustrated to learn that my truck was not at the location at the time I reserved it. I was told there was no telling when it would be back and I would be called when it was. I travelled nearly 1/2 hour home only to turn around and go back. I lost a full hour of my rental time and had to make an additional trip to pick-up the truck. This just isn't acceptable practice and I will hesitate to use Uhaul in the future.Dennis S.
None of the employees of the service station where we picked up the truck were wearing masks. The man who moved the truck for us and didn't have a mask or did he use gloves. Before getting into the truck i wiped it all down with sanitizer cloths.Carolyn M.
I didnt know it was up to the renter to sweep out the. BAck of the truck (witch I didnt bring a broom) I would have explained it to you but I dont have the time or crayons to explain it!! Thank god for the other employee who kindly let me use the leaf blower get the dirt out, other wise I would have been sweeping the truck out with my hand!! No thanks to james champani! The rental location was terrific in every way. The drop-off location also was terrific in every way. In addition we were very pleased with movers at the Manhattan end, On Time Movers (David and Trevor), they appeared on time, were ready to work, worked very hard, were very professional, they reflected well on UHaul.Michael C.

my reservation was made 2 days prior. i confirmed that they were opening at 830. i arrived and nobody arrived until 8:50 + -. the person that arrived was not "up to speed" on the UHAUL software and the owner was expected "soon" he showed up well after 9am. meanwhile i was paying my workers to do nothing and wait for my arrival. very frustratingGary B.

The owner (Jim) is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. We called at approximately 2:30 PM and he advised he had three (3) of the size trucks we were looking for. My wife asked if she could reserve one of the trucks which at this time he said "I have plenty of them, as long as you come in before 7 because I leave at 7 on the dot". She asked if he needed her name or CC info which he stated again "no, just come in I have plenty". We arrived at 6:32pm. We walked in and he said "yea?" We explained that we called earlier about a truck. He asked "did you make a reservation?" We said "no". He said sorry we dont have any trucks available. I quickly explained the previous phone conversation that took place. He said "well ohh well they are all taking" We explained again this was why we wanted to reserve a truck and that he insisted against it. At this point he turned his back to us and looked at the computer and shook his head "nope, we do not have any". We asked why didnt you have us reserve one when we insisted we needed the truck and no other place was open at this time to try and scramble to find another option. Jim yelled "STOP" and raised his hand in an manner that was hostile. He did this all while his back was towards us. My wife was extremely offended that a person would raise his hand at her along with a U Haul representative would conduct business in this manner. He turned around and I advised him he would not speak to my wife in that way or disrespect her. He stated, "she was raising her voice". This was inaccurate. Jim then picked up the telephone and walked outside. He returned approximately 5 minutes later and asked for my CC info and driver license. He entered some information into the computer and handed me a printed contract. I left the premises without any further conflict. We both are appalled by his actions and embarrassed that UHaul would conduct any type of business with this establishment. We will NEVER go back and we will let it be known to everyone we come across who is looking to rent a truck not to give their business to this place. UHaul should seriously look into their relationship with him and how it reflects on the Uhaul company's name.SEAN O.

I ordered a 10' box truck and the reservation was changed to a 15' without informing me. So i had no choice at pick- up. And the location told me that two 10's would be a available at that location on the day i was scheduled for when I reserved it. Very poor!!!!!Courtney B.
