The dolly I requested was not in the truck, so I had to drive 5mi to another location to get it. It was also difficult to adjust the seat... the staff at the next location had to help me. Overall, I was set back an hour from my planned day of moving. I was more embarrassed for my friends who arrived to help me move than anything. Not a good experience.

Go back to having people lease the trucks. I am tech savvy and this was PAINFUL. Drop off and pick up.

I would prefer to reserve my uhaul from a person and return the keys to a person instead of doing it all on line. I had a good experience aside from that thanks.

Drop off was odd. Location at 160 Pinehurst Ave. in Southern Pines NC was not staffed at 11 AM as expected. Called, no answer. Left message that I was leaving truck. No return call. Signage with Self Storage instructions, but NO clear Uhaul instructions. Locked truck. Dropped key in slot. Receipt magically emailed 10 minutes later. Odd experience. May want to review association with this Agent.

The only problem I had was with at the pickup doing it over the internet. Had to contact customer service because i was late for my pickup time and it wouldn't let me complete the process. Other than that, everything worked out great.

The owner was very rude and unwilling to help with questions as to how to work the kiosk. When he had to redo my contract he was very agitated. As well as when he redid my contract, he added the insurance , which I told him I didn’t want it. He told me it was too late to change the contract and that the location where I was returning the rental would reimburse me the $28.00 charge for the insurance.. I never received the reimbursement. I will NEVER rent again from they location in Southern Pines.

First, would not accept my debit card, stood in pouring rain 30 minutes- went to get a truck at new location on Saturday and keys were not available- had to call u haul- on hold forever Howe O’Shea was very kind and helped me retrieve keys- truck was not full of gas- I used 17 miles and added $20 gas I. Return

The turn in location and the business office are separated by 1/4 mile distance and a busy street. The parking lot is cramped and not conducive to driving large trucks. Also, no place to park the vehicle for turn in. The person running the office wold not come out to check the vehicle, he just wanted the key. After I got home, I received an email stating another charge was added for cleaning. THe vehicle was in the same condition of cleanliness as when I picked it up.This is unacceptable. This whole experience was not satisfactory and I will never use Uhaul again. I expect a phone call from a representative and I will dispute the additional charges with Visa. As part of my reservation, I ordered an appliance dolly, regular dolly, furniture dolly and furniture pads. None of these items were in the truck and no one answered my call for assistance. I left a message regarding the missing items and no following was done. I had to go to Lowe’s to purchase these items myself. I was still charged for these items even though they were not supplied and caused me to have to purchase them at a far higher rate than renting them would have cost. This is an unacceptable convenience and should not even be offered if it cannot be fulfilled.

The owner was nice but he assumed that we knew all of the details of the online system. Because of this, I ended up waiting for 30 min beyond the scheduled pick up time. The experience here was good but not great.

Peter is such a pleasure to work with at Pinehurst Ave Storage. It’s his level of personal service that makes it a pleasure to do business there. The 800 number must be understaffed however. I was on hold over 15 min at one point waiting for a representative. I hung up 10 min earlier after a 7 min wait. The rep was nice but a 15 min wait tells me you may need to look at your staffing formula.

This uhaul experience was good at the Pinehurst self storage. The over all experience was a nightmare. Fighting with them now for the awful treatment, horrible customer service. Lack of caring and understanding. Do not use one point uhaul in southern pines. Stopped by at 10am to check on my noon rental. They said my reservation was cancelled, but it was not. I had confirmed by phn earlier in the week. So at 10am everything was ok. At noon when I went back, the office was locked and no one available. Waited for 45 minutes, and nothing. Was on the phn with uhaul, who the man could not have cared less and was rude. That’s how I got to Pinehurst self storage. So over all uhaul is a waste of time and does not care and the staff are rude on the phn. I also ordered a 20 ft and was charged a 26. Still fighting with uhaul and have decided to report to my local station and the better business bureau.
