The inside of the truck was filthy even though I called and let them know. I had high-end staging furniture and wanted to make sure the truck was clean. It was dusty and dirty and really unacceptable. My money should be refunded for this rental.

Told UHaul customer service I was not coming back to the location until Sunday and was told no extra charges now I’m being told there is. Crappy customer service in this situation. I have rented many of auto transports from UHaul over the past few years.

adbul dollaThere computer system sucks, twice now in the week I've rented and the waits are horrendous, they also don't like the computer system, and will complain to you about how you could have booked online so they don't have to deal with it. I'm still waiting for them to finally process my return and send me a receipt. Also one of the workers, followed me in the grocery store, it's also a grocery store and they work there to I believe, saw me looking for something in a isle and asked me if I needed help. That part is nice, I told her I needed wart removal stuff, they didn't have any, she started trying to convince me to buy an antifungal creme for it and some other absolute bullshit that will do nothing against a viral infection. Weird and annoying, and actually scummy if she tried that on someone ignorant and got them to buy athletes foot creme or whatever bullshit to put on a wart.

Eric DayleyThe check engine light was on the breaks squeaked it didn’t pull very well and the head lights pointed way down and it was dangerous when it got dark. I know it’s not thriftways fault but I can’t believe this truck is in service it must be 15 or 20 years the doors didn’t seal well so it was loud. It made it but I hope no one else gets stuck with this crappy truck again. U haul also messed up my reservation
Robert MullWouldn't recommend turning in the truck at thriftyway because the parking stalls are not big enough for a 26' uhaul truck and it'll be in the middle of the driveway aisles.

judith taylorYour app is terribly difficult to use and I was sorely disappointed with the service. The woman at the Montesano location was excellent, but the support in getting me the equipment was dismal. Two of the three locations I was given for pick up were closed with no access to a key. The truck arrived with an essentially empty fuel tank, a light was broken and I was hassled by a police officer for it, and picking up the truck took a full two hours. I realize the Montesano area is a difficult place to support, but if Penske ever starts renting trucks from the Home Depot in Aberdeen, they will get my business going forward. I know U-Haul can do better, it just seems to not be interested in it!

Angela MorganWe had to drive about 100 miles round trip out of our way to pick up the truck. The rental system doesn’t have an option for when you will be dropping it off so the quote system isn’t clear. We told the rental counter that we would need the truck until about 3pm the next day. She said pit wouldn’t be a problem.
Shannon LevinI rented the $19.99 10' moving. On the website, I was quoted a price of just under $40, but when I went to pick up the vehicle the full price was almost $80. I was shocked and a little confused about the price. The woman at the counter was not really that friendly. The inside of the cargo bed was not too bad, but the front cab cup holders had not been cleaned, the space between the driver and passenger side seats along with floors hadn't been vacuumed, and the overall feel of the vehicle felt a little off. Luckily I didn't have far to drive.
LISA BUSCHEWhile the Uhaul rep assured me over the phone that the trailer would be connected by someone at the pick-up location, unfortunately, after driving an hour to pick this up, I was told they do not do the hookups. They did eventually find someone to help me when I refused to sign anything or accept the trailer without hookup, but it was unnecessarily stressful and a clear miscommunication between Uhaul and the sites they use for their pick-up/drop-offs.

PAULA ROYCEThe truck was filthy inside and out. In these days of the pandemic, I was surprised and uncomfortable that at least the inside hadn’t been cleaned since the last renter used it. The “low rear tire” warning light stayed on the whole trip. And you’d mileage rate was way too high.
Carlene KuhnThe trailer’s running lights were not operational. The blinkers and brake lights worked but we were in the dark while driving. Was pulled over in California for no lights when we realized it. Luckily the cop was nice and followed us to a close autozone to get magnetic lights.

tracy carlsonYesterday I dropped off a 20 foot rental truck on time, cleaned, & a full gas tank with no issues and a receipt of $175 after a one day rental and 76 miles. Today I wake up and see on my U-Haul account and my credit card a charge of $349.78. Thank you for screwing me over. Do NOT use the U-Haul at Pick Rite Thriftway-Montesano, WA.

david eckenrodeI can't thank Mandy and Jacob enough, for their determination to go above and beyond. Mandy is so very compassionate and kind, which is olso incredibly difficult to come by these days. Jacob was also very pleasant, professional, and responsive. He listened to my experience, made some executive decisions, explained (in great detail) the process of my transaction and what to expect, and made sure that I understood it all. I usually dread days I have to use U-haul. Moving days are never fun, but when you get to deal with people like Mandy and Jacob, then it softens the blow. A big thank you to both of them and to the Vancouver location for pulling together to get my fiasco taken care of. Y'all are awesome!!
Raven CastroNot happy! I rented the trailer to drop off at either Aberdeen or Hoquiam, WA. Was told, not ask, to take it to Montesano instead because it was needed. Another 20 miles out of my way. Overall I was Not a happy customer!
Bob BurtonThe rental worked out ok, but this was not the original location I originally booked the reservation. This location was 20 miles in the opposite direction I was going. The website stated my original location had the equipment (5'x8' trailer) and allowed me to reserve it, however, I was called the night before to change the location with no further explanation. Better website management would improve my overall opinion of the services provided.

Miera OdellI was there almost two hours after reserving it online. The computer crashed and they didn’t seem to know what they were doing. They even tried to tell me it was my fault after about an hour because they said I reserved it wrong online and didn’t select my drop off to be the same place I rented from so that is what the holdup was. When I pulled up my email showing that was a lie, they very frustratingly said, “Ok, well thank you for your patience.” I hadn’t shown a lack of it, I just didn’t appreciate being blamed for having to wait there two hours to rent a cheap open trailer when I reserved it correctly. The main female employee with shorter hair that appeared to be a lead was pleasant and I know she was more frustrated than I was but uhaul needs to do a better job helping them to be successful. I don’t blame them because you clearly don’t train them well.

JOHN HEPLEWhen I went to pick up the truck it wouldn’t start so they jumped it and told me it would be fine. I got home and it wouldn’t start again I had to call roadside assistance. The girl I talked to in roadside assistance, Heather, was excellent and found someone very quickly (early tire in Aberdeen WA.) to come put new battery in truck. Everything was great. Heather went above and beyond to make sure truck was fixed!!!

Bruce BissellThe truck ran and drove poorly. It would barely idle and would die when idling while making corners. The cab leaked water also. The app would not find my location and I had to call uhaul and didn't get checked out on time. I was 40 minutes late before I got to pull the truck out of the parking lot. It was the worst uhaul truck and experience I've ever had. The only good thing about it was the lady at thriftway was nice and helpful when returning the truck, but she was a thriftway employee who checks trucks in and out. not a uhaul employee.
