Complex online process to register / validate the account. The store manager had very little patience in explaining how to checkin / return the car. Cab was dirty, cigarette ash in the door pocket. Old AA batteries center console and something else, can't remember. Rear loading compartment not clean, had to sweep it before I loaded. Sun visor drivers side broken, window crank driver side, knob come off when trying to use it. After using uhaul many times for both local and cross country moves I think this truck was in rough shape. Mechanical sound I think it seemed but beside that it could be better. ThanksANDREAS K.

The vehicle was damaged when I received it but the damage was not mentioned in the initial walk around so I had no way to verify that Uhaul was aware of this damage before I started the rental. The "location" was closed. When I returned the vehicle using the online return process there was no mention of the lock box code which was given to me at the beginning of my rental which I needed in order to relock the box since this location did not have a drop box. This location also did not have designated parking, I parked on the street where I had found the vehicle when I first picked it up but a few hours later that location would have been limited to 1 hour parking. This is not a good location, I only selected it because they were the only ones with the vehicle type I needed. The online check in process needs to be streamlined as I had to entire my ID multiple times and the uploading verification documents need to be changed to allow for uploading documents and pictures instead of just using the camera function. I have used the online self check in in the past but at a main Uhaul storage location where they were able go troubleshoot the obstacles of the online check in portal.Sarah S.

He claimed there is a damage on the roof, charged me more than $200 for it, but got the picture, there is no damage, contacted uhaul head office and local manager, no reply, has to go small claim court.XIN Z.
I am 99% sure I was scammed. I rent for 24hr and only drove on the highways. When I return, he said there is a dent caused by me. I said am sure I crash it. He said he will send it to u haul to investigate. I end up received a $1500 bill on my visa. the receipt in the email said "damage investigation: NONE". This location is making me quitting uhaul. The equipment was fine but the staff at this location was rude, condescending and unhelpful. His demeanor caused unnecessary stress in an already stressful time of moving. I chose this location because it was closest but I would never choose this place again for the service alone.ASHLEY F.
I'm not sure if he was the owner of the Photo Station on Dunbar, but the man at the front desk was not willing to engage in conversation during check-in. When I finished my errand with the U-Haul van the man had me follow him down the street to do a check for damages. He jumped in the front seat, turned on the van, did not open the window, and started doing something on his phone. After several minutes I knocked on the window and asked him what was going on. He was very hostile and asked me if I want to pay for the service. I asked him why i'm standing outside a running van while you do it on your cellphone. It did not seem professional and I could tell he was very suspicious of me for some reason. We asked each other a couple more questions and then he said the payment went through on this phone. I asked if I'll get an email receipt. He didn't seem to want to answer that question, but he soon after said 'yes'. I asked when I might receive the email receipt. He said he didn't know. I thanked him and walked away. He did not thank me or say anything after that. This was my first time every renting a U-Haul from this location and I will not be returning. The man has hangups and I do not think he is trustworthy.AARON T.

My negative experience with your company was right at the front counter when I had to deal with an incredibly dismissive and impatient desk clerk at the Dunbar station in Vancouver. Even though I was very pleasant with him (at first), he was very short with me, snarky and treated me like I was a lesser person than him. We had a slight verbal altercation when I asked him to stop speaking to me the way he was. He became even more dismissive, denied his behavior and began snickering. It's unacceptable and if it wasn't for the fact that I had no choice but to rent that U-Haul off him, I wouldn't have given him a penny of my money. He was slightly more friendly when I dropped the truck off a few hours later; however, the damage was done. I know these feedback forms probably get read once and discarded, but it would be nice to have an apology from U-Haul for how I was treated by someone who is essentially representing your company. 403.991.3302 is my phone number and I will be curious to see if this is even followed up on. Did not choose this location to pick up from as it was a ways away from my house which required some additional planning and adjustments to an already hectic day Know this is not at all the locations fault but rather uhaulsJAMES M.
First off, my initial reservation I booked online was not available so I was switched to another location. When trying to get the key for the vehicle I was met with a rude customer service agent, whom also had a "back in 5 min sign" so 15 minutes later the service agent arrived and completed the transaction. As a first time rented I should have also been informed to fill up the truck with gas upon returning. There was some loud crashing noises from the cargo area when driving the truck. When I went to return the truck, I encountered another "back in 5 minute" sign. If I was informed of the need to fill up the tank I could have easily done so. And left upset for being charged for not filling up the tank to the arbitrary 7/8ish tank meter the truck was left to me. I will take any opportunity to discourage people from renting from uhaul in the future. Was a horrible renting experienceJonathan W.

The U haul was absolutely filthy. The customer service was good but considering that we are in COVID times, I had to disinfect the whole truck myself, wasting time I could have had to move. The cup holders were thick with grime and had stuff in them, the steering wheel and dashboard wiped off brown, and it just all felt very icky and unsanitary,Sean R.

The return key slot wasn't very secure. There's a liability issue here where once the key is returned, onus is no longer on the renter for damages. However, anyone with a rod or hanger could easily grab the key. It's also visible from the street.Mackenzie F.

The cargo-van was good and easy to drive. On-line preregistration was convenient. The shop (Photo Station) needs a new credit card machine, and the shop owner needs a friendlier attitude toward customers. But the equipment and convenient location were good.
