good manners AND GOOD CLEAN VEHICLE
Edward HThe shop clerk had to call the manager and sounded like woke him up (it was a Sunday 7am pick up) to help us get the key. It took 35 minutes for us to drive away with the rental. The van was so dirty, not been cleaned in a long time, there was hair and food bits on the seats and the dashboard was dirty and dusty. Will not rent from here again.
Simon DHidden fees, the extensive protocol needed online only to get a vehicle for half an hour use, must use an electronic device if one can't telephone and need a truck asap. It's all bullshit. I'll never use U-Haul again. Too labor intensive for a damn half hour
Kirsten PThe truck was dirty and blankets were not readily available. The check out required me to go on line to check out. The mileage and gas gauge figures were not correct resulting in me having to take photos and uploading them to the web portal. The extra mileage cost me almost $48 dollars more than it should have. Fortunately, U-Haul national allowed the gas discrepancy to be adjusted upon drop off.
JOHN RWhile a bit hard to find as it is part of the circle K gas station, once that was all settled that we were dropping off and not picking up, it was an easy process.

Carlos GI have rented vehicles from Uhaul for many years. This time was a bad experience. When I made the reservation for the van, I chose a location that was convenient to me and where I've usually rented. I was moved to a different location, as far away from my home in Petaluma as it could be. It was not even a Uhaul office. It was a Circle K store. When the contract was drawn up, it already was charging me for 3 days and I only reserved it for 2 days. Nowhere on the website did it indicate that the insurance for a cargo van was higher, $30 not the usual $20 or so. I picked up the van, by the time everything was taken care of by staff at the Circle K, later than what was indicated on the rent receipt that I received online. How Uhaul knew that they'd need to charge me for 3 days at the time I picked up the vehicle I really don't know or understand. But I ended up paying for 3 days the amount that was indicated on the receipt. Again, I actually got the keys and drove the van out later than indicated on the receipt. But it was a ":prefabricated" receipt and as I said, Uhaul seemed determined to charge me for 3 days. I reserved for s days, Saturday and Sunday, to be returned Monday morning, which I did. This was just all in all a bad experience. Hoprefully I won't need to rent any trucks/vans again, but I'm inclined to not use Uhaul again after this terrible experience. Ana Villagran
ANA VOverall the experience was great! However, the pick up using the U-HAUL ap was a little tricky because when finished filling in the required info, getting the keys to the truck wasn't intuitive. Had to call the manager on his day off and he walked me through the rest of the process and things were seamless from there. I would definitely rent from the same place again now that I know the process flow.

Ronald RAt a 78/Circle K....You've got to be kidding! I tried calling and calling to get location information, phone not in service. It is a busy intersection near freeway, with ONLY ONE WAY IN...If I hadn't done a dry-run in my car after I couldn't get anyone on the phone, I would never have found it. The cashier at Circle K/76 didn't really know anything. Another customer buying beer, told me that he had dropped off at Uhaul, that I needed to go online and follow the steps. I had already looked online, taken pictures... BUT THERE NEEDS TO BE BETTER DIRECTIONS FOR THAT DROP OFF SITE!!! and some inside attendant - at least a phone number that works!

JAVIER RIt was a little tricky to find it. The GPS does not get you exactly there but could see the other trucks across the street
Monica OOrdered on line and prepaid: pickup site required complete restart of registration, (wasting time)for one 15' box van, hand truck, two sets of packing blankets. Truck was filthy, no hand truck, no blankets. Extremely difficult and dangerous to move appliances without hand truck. Scratched furniture without blankets. Your agent suggested driving, ($6,00/gallon, 30 miles away) to another Uhaul site that may have what was ordered a week in advance?????? No time, or confidence to gamble that Uhaul has what was promised at another site. Could not waste time as destination allowed limited time frame to unload. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE THROUGHOUT!
Jim SI returned the vehicle thinking I had a flat rate that I was told and was going to be charged a certain amount and later I got charged for almost double of what they amount was said to be. Just horrible
Lusadriana RHave the keys to the reservation vehicle. I had to wait nearly 90min after my reservation started for the staff member to arrive with keys for the vehicle.
Matt JDavid and his associate were very friendly and helpful!! The process did take over an hour from start to finish however this was not really the fault of the employees rather slow Wi-Fi, needing to fill up since the car was given to us at the 1/8 full. My only frustration was our reservation was for 8 AM and we got there at 8 and were told that the manager did not get in until 9. This was not my original pick up location so UHAUL needs to do a better job of ensuring pick up times when changing locations. I also ordered a Dolly and the location did not have any, and the only closest one was about 15 miles away and we were told we would have to go get it ourselves. When I called later, I was told by a UHAUL employee there were no dolly's left in the area. Our move was rough without having a dolly. Anyways, employees are great but the reservation process has much to be desired ..
