The two workers (both men) were not wearing masks. They have a mask requirement for patrons though. When I asked about the hand truck being a little bit broken, the man helping me came within a foot of me without his mask. The other worker came in and out of the building a few times without putting a mask on. I cleaned the truck myself before getting in because I didn't trust their concern for safety during COVID.

I rented for one day I was charge for two days. I only use it for 3 miles and was charged for 39.90 miles. I was told I could have it for eight hours after 24 hours and then when I got there and pick it up said that I'm only allowed to have it for six hours.

Others Hhaul places are Convenient inform the people with a smile in the face treat you very good and help you to save money offer you what they have in a conscious way that's the way to do business that's why I make the mistake to go there that I will never ever return so I pay the price, thank you for nothing. 👎

The truck's air conditioning did not work when pressing on the gas it only worked while the truck was coasting. No problems other than that.

Return was done the same day later in the evening when I had to the next morning. Was charged two additional fees for dropping it off after hours and an additional day. I left the truck with additional gas. No consideration. Rented for years. But not anymore.

I am applauded by the charges to my credit card when I specially commented that I wanted / needed a representative to contact me BEFORE MY CARD WAS CHARGED. No one reached out and my credit was charged WITHOUT MY CONCERNS BEING ADDRESSES. This is really bad business practices especially during this pandemic the country is experiencing. I had a real question in relation to the mileage .

The truck we got is super old very nasty dirty has not been dusted and dust flying everywhere. apso garbage and floor has allot of dirt. you cannot touch anything at all its filthy especially with COVID you would think they sanitize or at least clean it. i will not rent from there at all due to cleanliness. to pay that much money for 6 hours at least get something clean and safe.... its like going for dinner and getting a dirty plate to eat in!!!

The woman working was super nice and very helpful. I think this particular truck must've been recently rented, there was a dirty crumpled receipt in the cup holder and what looked like a used Juul pod or e-cigarette cartridge in the floor? Normally I don't complain or comment on minor details like this, but given the state of COVID-19, I was hoping someone's used vape would at least be cleaned out of the truck... it makes me concerned for the overall sanitation in general. Is Uhaul doing anything to better prevent the virus? Or are they just letting everyone share the same trucks without bothering to even sweep them, let alone wipe down or sanitize in between?

Giving advanced notice as to what information will be needed to do a self check in when returning the truck. I had already returned the truck and keys and on my way home when I tried to do the check in and realized that I needed to turn in pictures of mileage as well as interior of truck. I had to return in the rain and do this as it was part of the check in process.

Pickup location at the Personal Mini Storage (Davenport, Fl on hwy 27 location) was a nightmare! The front desk attendant was beyond rude and completely lost. She was impatient, sarcastic and unwilling to go the extra mile to help me with my lost reservation. She gave me misleading information about the drop off location. She said I could drop off at any location in the town I was moving to when in fact that was not correct! My contract said a specific drop off location. That created a mix-up!! On top of that, the truck itself was disgusting & smelled like a dead cat, animal poo and urine. There was animal hair that was literally all over the place. My wife and kids are highly allergic to cat hair and this whole experience had them going into an allergic reaction just seconds walking into the truck to help load our boxes. We spent hours sweeping, disinfecting and airing out the truck in order to even begin my whole moving journey. Then we had to cover the ground with tarps to protect our stuff. Alot of my expensive furniture (couches, dining room chairs, & recliners) now stinks like the disgusting odor from that truck! The movers I hired were coughing, sneezing and complaining the whole time from the funk in this truck. This set us back a whole day! I then spent hours on the phone being passed around from one customer service rep to another. Every time I spoke to someone new, I had to repeat this ordeal over and over because the last customer service rep didn't take proper notes! The last representative interregated me and made me feel like I did something wrong. He was more concerned about specific details and seemed to want to spend more time defending the wrong instead of making things right with me.

When I returned my vehicle I was met with, “I have no room for that here. You'll need to take it to another haul facility “ I however stood my ground and eventually he accepted my vehicle. After 4 days and 2500 miles the last thing you want is hassle.

I had a trailer reserved at another location, after an hour waiting, the trailer still wasn't there. The agent called this location and the trailer was ready, with all the paperwork completed, when I arrived. I will only come here now. Great folks all the way around.

Clean your actual vehicles. I had single use gloves in the door of the truck, candy wrappers, etc. Especially with all this virus nonsense going around I didnt feel safe driving it but seeing as I opted to do the mobile checkout I shot myself in the foot. I wouldve refused the vehicle and plus I was already desperate to move my stuff and couldn't wait another day. Then on top of that i paid about 38 to 42 dollars total for the vehicle and at the end you charged me 80+. I refuse to pay after I sanitized the vehicle. Never doing that again.

Truck was fine. Appliance dolly was not. Bearings in wheel shot and moving items was like pushing through quicksand. Plastic bumpers on dolly cracked and falling off. Blade/base heavily rusted. Guess I should have been more specific as to needs?

In January 2020, I rented a U-Haul from Personal Mini-Storage at 100 Lake Davenport Blvd. in Davenport, FL. I chose this very rental location based solely on the fact that it was the most convenient to the locations that I knew we would need to go in the truck. I had a strict budget and knew that I needed to use the least amount of miles possible. On pick-up day, once paperwork was completed inside the building, they pointed out the truck to us, but did not accompany us. We made the mistake of being trusting people and did not make note for ourselves of how the odometer read. We went only to the planned places....from the truck rental location to my storage unit just 6.6 miles away....from the storage unit to my new apartment just 2.5 miles away.....from the apartment to the Circle K gas station nearby, just 3.1 miles away....and finally from the gas station back to the U-Haul rental place to turn the truck back in, just 1.9 miles. That is a total of just 14.1 miles. Upon returning the truck, I was told that I would be charged for 84 miles! You can imagine my shock. I told them there was no way that was possible and to recheck whatever equipment they were using to figure the mileage out. They did and insisted that it was 84 miles. I tried working with the manager there a few times in the few days after, explaining the exact routes we had taken, letting them know that the gasoline to fill the truck back up cost only $4.78, which would not have been possible if we had gone 84 miles (even had the receipt), and also explaining that we only had the truck for 4 hours and 11 minutes and could not possibly have driven 84 miles while also accomplishing the tasks of unpacking my entire storage unit and unloading it at my new place. They didn't care about any of that, just kept saying that their reading was 84 miles. They referred me to a 1-800-GoUhaul number, which I called and filed a report and then never heard back from them again. I'm sure that these types of rental places run into people trying to scam them a lot, but that is absolutely not the case here. I am the one who was scammed and they refuse to do anything about it. I am hoping that this review will prevent anyone else from renting a U-Haul from this place, as they are clearly disreputable and have no integrity and no interest in customer satisfaction.
