When there's a problem with a customer's order instead of charging their card for something that you have no idea about maybe you should track down the item before you charge a customer's card and cause them Bank problems this is why there is poor ratings on my end because it was very unprofessional the way that I was treated when I got the truck I got charged extra for a U-Haul dolly that I never used then I got charged for it as a purchase price and got charged for it and had my bank account overdrawn three different times because of U-Haul company very bad company very unprofessional will never ever use this company againCHRISTEAN N.

This was awful. I got charged for a rental that I didn't even use and I had no way to contact the person and let them know that I couldn't use the trailer due to not having the proper equipment on my SUV. I explained the situation (hitch had been stolen off my vehicle, typical Northern Maine thing) and the store owner could have cared less. I will not be getting anything from there again, nor will I be using UHAUL. Their customer service when I tried to get a refund was unsatisfactory. I run 5 businesses, so I do understand policies and what not. This was completely out of my control and both the store manager and UHAUL made it a terrible experience.Marissa B.

The only issue we had was the uhaul truck we had rented was stuck in the snow AT THE UHAUL LOCATION. After A HALF HOUR OF some salt, cardboard, and a few other things we were able to get it out with the help of the NICE CASHIER that rented us the truck. After that it was smooth sailing loading and unloading the truck.Sara C.
All the places to rent a uhaul in town were closed on the weekend. I was forced to drive 40 miles to the next nearest rental place. Which they had none available that day so I had to request on for the next day. Which meant I had to drive another 40 miles there and back the next day. The rental place didn't give me the one way price because they needed the truck back the next day. So I was again forced to drive 40 miles to return it where I was met with a charge because I was a few minutes late.Brenyn J.

Dave was abrupt, not willing to show me the inside of the trailer or anything about hooking up or detaching or driving with trailer; which Id never done before. When I asked questions he said â€œsomeone will be around to do that for you.â€ Taillights on trailer did not work; he told me to drive it home anyway (illegal and dangerous) and â€œfigure it out when I got thereâ€. I had to call another U-Haul place in town (Cowetts) who were amazing and willing to have me bring the trailer there to fix the lights even though it was not there responsibility. I would go back to Cowetts any time, I would not go back to Dave at Perry's for anything. Also Dave didn't wait for me to look up my area code for my drop off location in Mass, and just selected an address 45 minutes away from me, saying â€œbut you can't just bring it to any U-Haul and they'll take it.â€ That is apparently not accurate and we've had 2 days worth of problems trying to return this stupid 5X8 trailer.Ingrid A.

the uhaul lights werent hooked up and i got a 185 dollar ticket for hauling a trailer with no lights. Then when i got home and unloaded it. I told the boys to hook the lights up right they couldnt because it needed some kind of adaptor. sothe lights werent hooked up from the start/. so No i will not rent from uhaul again or recomend it.crystal G.

I set up everything online with registration and input all of my information. That way when my fiancÃ© got there it would be easy. The man that checked him in did not take the confirmation number for the reservation. My fiancÃ© had to do it all again. Which was frustrating and time consuming. Because of this mishap we had to take more trips which stacked up miles and it got expensive! It would have not been if we were able to just pick up the truck with all the preregistration work I did! Now we're out more money over a simple move because one worker didn't know how to properly follow though on a preregistration, with confirmation number.Violet H.

I was supposed to have a $50 credit pending on my account, I called the main 800 customer service number before I picked up the trailer to make sure I could apply that to the rental. They said that I could and they were supposed to note the account. I get to the location for pickup and they don't know how, and won't credit the $50 towards my rental. They made me wait for a field manager, putting me way behind schedule, and causing me to lose money. I could have gotten paid to haul two cars that day, but because of the delay, I lost the job hauling the second car. Not only was I delayed, lost money, but I was also stuck out in the rain on the phone with customer service because the building prevented cell service. When the field manager arrived, he was not concerned about helping me, he first emptied his truck of two trailers he was hauling then came to address my issues, causing even more delay for me. Once I had his undivided attention, it was clear he was not looking to help me utilize my $50 credit, but was more looking on how to shift responsibility and deny me using my $50 credit. I was assured I would hear from someone within 24 hrs to resolve the issue, 24 hours expired at 12pm yesterday afternoon, we are now close to 48 hours and still have heard nothing. This is exactly why Penske got my $3600 for my cross country move last year, and not uhaul.Christopher T.
Truck was filthy. Mud all splashed up on the sides of the truck. Inside cab smelled like horse manure. Truck steering pulled to the right when driving on the road. I had no choice, as it was the only 20' truck intown.Michael K.
Stop smoking cigarettes in the lobby, clean out the equipment and fill it with fuel. We picked up a filthy truck with less than a half tank of fuel and it was reported as having half a tank. NO WAY!! I've got the video proof. Err on the side of caution and round down not up, I'm not paying for someone else's fuel! And the truck was filthy!Daniel Y.
My reservation was 24 hrs at Jim's in Caribou. When you gave me Westfield for 6 hours you cost me $120 instead of $50 from Jim's. On hold for over and hour and couldn't talk to a uhaul person on the phone. UNACCEPTABLE!! You should send me a $50 refund at least!!ROBERT H.

The gentleman that rented the unit to me was very friendly. The door latch on the uhaul stuck up in the overhead and we had to call someone to fix it, the latch lock was not clicking in properly but he was nice and fixed it fast, got there quickly. Then when we returned it, the girl said it was not "swept out well enough" despite it being in the exact condition when we got it. Not impressed with that part at all and would be the reason I would not recommend it to anyone else.carrie A.

First I rented my trailer from Soucy's Garage in Houlton Me. Two days prior to the pick up I confirmed the trailer would be there Friday morning. It was not there and no one could tell my why. I found out that I had to drive 35 miles north to get it. Then 35 miles back. On Tuesday 25th Uhaul called me and confirmed the trailer would be in Ocoee by 10:00 am. I told the person it would be closer to 4:00pm. He said it would be no problem and so long as it was there before closing there would be no additional charge. I delivered it at 3:00 pm and I was charged $29.82 late charge. I have rented many times in the past but You have lost a customer as a result.TERRY M.

When I went in to pick up the U-Haul the people were smoking in the building which was my first red flag. I approached the counter and this man came to assist me but he was very rude. He was getting frustrated because he was having a hard time figuring out the computer which in turn got taken out on me. He started cussing at the computer which I felt was very unprofessional. He then left and someone else came to help me. That lady was more nice then the guy was but all of this chaos made the booking process much more difficult and longer which meant I had to stay in the smoke filled building until they figured it out. As a nonsmoker the smell really bothered me and when I left it was still on my cloths. They did a horrible job with customer service and explaining anything to me and the fact that the guy just cussed and left was very frustrating. I spent $97.15 on this U-Haul and I believe my experience should have been better then this.Bailee G.

Overall it was very good! My only complaint is that I paid $7 for a dolly and it was NOT in the truck and there was no part for me to report that, so I was still charged for it.Samantha F.
I can't really rate the location. The store was closed upon arrival. It was fairly dark in the parking lot and it was pouring rain so I didn't spend much time there. There was adequate room in the parking lot and the drop box was well marked to leave the keys. I was just happy to not have to drive all the way to Easton to drop off.Kristen P.

Took me over an hour to pick up the trailer. Lady was telling me my truck was not recommended to be the tow vehicle. I told her something was wrong in the system. I drive a 2016 ram 2500 diesel.
