It's frustrating that we can't do a lot of the precheck work at home, the Cellular service is so bad at this location, after 45 min of trying to check in we were lucky enough that the woman at the office came by early and helped us. We were unable to check out and had to go through a 3 day process to ensure we weren't charged extra.
Tyler H.I called a head spoke to a woman, she gave info about costs.. I went and reserved the following day , went to pick up on the 3rd day an different woman. Place smelled like cigarettes and she coughed ALOT with out covering her mouth. The woman got rude with me when I went over what I was advised on pricing for milage. I WAS ADVISED $.72 A MILE. She said NO! $.97 A MILE. i advised that tues and wed both via phn and in person I was advised $.72 . She said NO YOU WERENT.. I then advised ma'am, The other woman whom I sat here and spoke to face to face advised that.. then said what is today.. I said Thursday.. ohh well its $.79 a mile today. I told her that they need to be on the same page, so random wrong info dosent get relayed as it did in my case. She got mad and snapped at me- DO YOU WANT THE UHAUL OR NOT.. so I advised NOT MY PROBLEM YOU DONT LIKE THE CONVERSATION, I CAN ONLY ADVOSED WHAT I WAS TOLD, YES I WANT THE UHAUL, AND MOVING FWD MAYBE YOU GUYS SHOULD COMMUNICATE ON WHAT WAS ADVISED SO YOU DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS AGAIN. I also advised the day I went in I would need a dolly reserved as well,, so I assumed it was all in order. I check the truck.. and no dolly. They park the trucks on an open lot outside of a 2nd facility 2 blocks away, when I asked what time the gates close being I would need to get my truck- she said it didn't matter as the truck is not on the property, I advised I would need to get MY truck she again advised what she said about not being on the property.. I looked at her.. and said very slowly.. I WILL NEED TO PICK UP MY PERSONAL VEHICLE, TRUCK, AUTOMOBILE.. MY TRUCK NOT THE UHAUL.. oh well u will have to drive it and leave it where the uhaul trucks are. When driving the uhaul.. the transmission slips really bad when going into 2nd gear. Inside dome lite never went off, and ignition was very hard to turn off and get the key out. I drove maybe 25 miles total, Moving fwd I will drive out of my way to a different facility and pay a little more for decent service rather then down the street for Crappy service. Maybe I will just rent people a trailer next time and pay them instead of Uhaul..

Dosha K. | Overall ExperienceTruck had not been inspected. We drove it to our home and found that the front passenger tire was balled. I called the lady where we picked up the truck. She refeered us to the regional manager Kevin. He told us to call the roadside assistance number. We waited two hours for the guy to show up and change the tire out. This could have been prevented.

Quentin P.Dropped truck off after hours. Difficult to park the truck where it would be out of the way and not block the gates. If that's to be a drop off center shouldn't/ wouldn't it be more advantageous to have an actual parking area
Marian T.I put gas in the truck and dropped off after hours. They charged me for gas and it was not the same as it was when I dropped he truck off which was 1/4 of a tank. They charged me for $22.50 for gas and a $30.00 service fee. Also I declined Safemove.when I reserved the truck and I was charged $14.00 for it. I tried calling customer service a couple times to dispute but could not get through.

William D.Shortly after I moved in to the storage unit, I was charged a late fee. With a hectic long-distance move with multiple trips, all my accounts being changed, etc, I thought I had set it up on automatic draft. When I realized this, I called to pay it, and set up automatic draft. Later the same day, I read an email from Pego stating that the late fee would be waived if I set up automatic draft. So I immediately called back asking them to honor that offer, but they refused. I told them I would move out asap if they did not honor their statement. They did not care if they lost a customer. So they got the $30 late fee but lost $96.50/month indefinitely. Poor customer service.

They really do help you so everything goes smoothly. The storage building was clean and the right size I needed. Very nice people and place was clean, I like that. Keith N.I am less than pleased with our experience when we picked up this truck. We scheduled to pick up the truck at Taylor Auto Repair and made the reservation online. However, when we arrived at this location, no one was there and the business was closed on Saturdays. Why would your system allow us to schedule it there when the business is closed!! This was very frustrating and required us to scramble to find another place that had a truck to rent. There are no that many places in this part of Texas and it was very upsetting when we needed the truck that very day. I would hope that U-Haul would refund all or part of our expenses due to the fact that this was not handled properly at all and we were stressed in trying to locate another truck. Thankfully Pego Self Storage was able to help us and provided a truck. The truck was not in the best of shape and my husband was concerned with driving it. But we were able to move what we needed to move back to Dallas anyway. We will not be utilizing U-Haul again if we can avoid it.. This glitch should not have happened and your system should have caught this when we scheduled the pickup. I hope you will fix this for future customers.

Our original pick up location was NineLiquor store in Caney City texas... they did not reserve our 20 ft. truck I prepaid for and so I was sent to an alternate location and had to settle for a 15ft. truck that wasn't big enough. I am still trying to get reimbursed the difference in cost.

Linda S.They were not open the hours they said. There was multiple people trying to return and no one was there. We were piled up in a tiny parking lot nearly into the highway. When the girl finally arrived she approched my car and said when i open the gate you pull in....or are you waiting on someone? I said "you". She said to me "you can lose the attitude." I ask her "or what? You wont return my uhaul." She said or you can get off my property. I then said to her you ask me a question and i gave you a answer. Then she walked off. I waited in the car, my husband returned the uhaul and according to the employee our paperwork was wrong and we did not get our full deposit back. I would definitely not recommend the return location to anyone. There unprofessional, rude and tried to be confrontational.
