I arrived around 5:15 yesterday evening after I got off work. The lady who checked me in was FABULOUS. She knew what size truck I would need, estimated how much time I would need the truck and gave me clear instructions of what to do with the dolly and keys when I returned after hours. She made the check in process very easy. The return on the app was not as easy/long. If you did not have a smartphone or was older it would be very confusing to have to take pictures of the vehicle from all angles. A lot to do just to check the vehicle in.

The truck I had needs retired. Check engine light is on. Brakes are dragging and making noise. The steering is loose and won’t go in a straight line. The box door is hard to open and close. (Though surprisingly the ramp is fine) The trucks are parked on an incline making them look like they have more fuel than they do. Showed quarter of a tank when picked up and showed and 1/8 after driving 2 miles. Whats the point of giving estimated mileage if the system is going to just assign 20 miles per day. I didn’t even go 10 miles over the 3 days my original contract was for and it wanted to pre-charge me 60 miles. I’ll go with Budget next time. Yeah more expensive but I know I’ll get a truck that’s safe.

Truck was fine. I ordered moving supplies and wasn’t notified until pickup that they didn’t have the supplies I ordered. Very inconvenient as I was on a deadline. I would have rented from another location if I’d known that I was going to have to go to another location anyway to get everything I needed.

Only issue is they claimed I drove 11 miles and there is no way I went that far :I literally drove it maybe 4 miles at most

The 15 ft. truck had too much play in the steering wheel and the right arm rest was missing for the driver side.

Counter help...put people out there who actually like customers. The guy who waited on us was Extremely Rude and disconnected with us. He never looked at us in conversation, no connection was made with us.

I had to go to multiple locations to find what I needed without help from the employee. I hooked up the trailer myself because the employee had no idea what she was doing. And I was treated poorly for no reason.

Organization, having the right reservation, don’t let people reserve a van or truck with a debit card if it is not an appropriate payment option

My only thought would be to have customers enter the building through the UPS store side for Uhaul rentals. If possible designate a small area in the UPS store for U-Haul customers. Aside from that you guys are top notch and where very accommodating. Thank you for your help during a tough time!!

Took over 30 minutes to check in and only 1 person was in front of me Only rented truck for 3-4 hrs and paid $120 which i thought was expensive.

Extremely annoyed that they kept my $100 deposit when there was absolutely no damage done to the truck, and the truck was left cleaner than when it was given to me to use. Was told I would get my $100 hold deposit back when the truck was returned, did not get it back.

This site shares space and staff with a UPS station. They are very busy. Checking in and out went well but it is obvious they are juggling jobs. Equipment (Van) was the best I've ever rented with only 19,000 miles. Will rent here again.

Make sure to take pics before you leave and be aware that they are not always there for check-ins. I forgot to take pics and was also not told they wouldn’t be there when I would be checking in. I had a bad feeling about it, but left the keys in the Dropbox anyway. Awoke the next morning to a huge bill accusing me of returning the vehicle damaged which was absolutely not true. Had to haggle to get it fixed. Guy was rude and never called back like he said he would but apparently reversed the charges. Be sure to keep track of your mileage too!

I was rented a pull behind trailer from this U-Haul location. One of the U-Haul employees confirmed all the lights were working but immediately after leaving the location I got a warning from a police officer that the unit had no tail lights. This location refused to address the issue

Not easy in and out at Kanawha City. Originally scheduled at Patrick Street. Location was switched. Uhaul would not transfer vehicle to Patrick street.

Easy to pick up and drop off! Especially appreciate the guidance on how many gallons of gas to put in. It was very accurate.

They charged me for a Dolly & furniture pads. There wasn't a Dolly in the truck. I didn't order nor get the furniture pads. The dashboard had several lights on it that weren't supposed to be there.

I left this location with a flat front left tire on the truck and got about a mile down the road before I smelled rubber, Took another 1.5 hours for UHaul to get the tire fixed, They also reduced my mileage allowance from my original online booking costing me an additional $43 in overage costs when I returned the truck.

Clark who called and leave a message on my phone was very rude and accusing me of stealing a truck and threatening to report as stolen.. I couldn’t able to return truck on time because of labor issues and when he called I was in bad reception area but that’s not reason to behave how he did.. I have a his voicemail record if I haul wants it

He said it’s a new truck with only 12k miles and when I checked it’s 122k miles. Gas also less than half tank and he mentioned half tank.

What could you do? You could improve the check in process so that way when someone already drops their keys in the box but took a picture of the mileage before they left the vehicle. Horrible chat service too. I couldn’t get no one on chats because by the time they answered it had been so long it timed out the chat. This will be the last time I ever use this company because of this.
