It looked like U-haul cared about the pandemic, since there was hand sanitizer and a plexiglass barrier by the counter. The guy working clearly couldn't have cared less, and it was gross. He wiped his nose with his hand, then grabbed my driver's license. He wasn't wearing a mask (despite it being the law). He was moderately rude as well.TREVOR D.

Tire was low when I got there. He only had a portable air compressor which would not pump it all the way up. It's fine - he said - is just because of the cold weather. Well I had to stop and put air in 6 times on my trip! I was driving by myself and scared to death I was going to be stuck on the road. Not to mention it took me an extra 1.5 hours on my trip because I was stopping so frequently to refill with airPam S.

Parts of the outside of the trailer were covered in mud. I would think this trailer could have power washed before being rented? The inside of the trailer floor could have been cleaner too. It really needed to be mopped as well as swept. I did appreciate the flexibility of this location.David L.

The location itself was GREAT but the online check in process was terrible. At first I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working or how to turn on location services on iOS as the instructions didn't match my phone. Then it took so long for the online system to approve us to get the keys, that we were really worried we would be stuck without a truck! No one was responding to the online chat, and there was a 41 minute wait for customer service by phone. That was very stressful, and I would not recommend the online check in to anyone unless they do it well in advance of going to pick up the truck.Margaret T.

The actual drop off itself was OK. However, it turned out the young lady that helped us didn't do what she said she was going to do. She apparently read the odometer incorrectly and actually charged us for an extra day. We are disputing the charge on our credit card as the "extra mileage" was entirely wrong. Staff was friendly and efficient however had several issues: 1) I did not order pads or a dolly and was charged for a dolly and 2) Uhaul website would not proceed with return self verify due to â€œunable to do determine locationâ€ despite turning on locations in settings and trying with multiple browsers and multiple mobile devicesTimothy W.

Originally reserved a truck at a location closer to my move. This was done online. A few days later I received an email that stated my reservation was changed to a different location and to arrive at 08:00. When we showed up, the sign on door showed 09:00 open time. The phone number was called and of course there was no answer (as they were closed). Googled a non-local phone number but only could a leave message. Luckily an employee was coming into work and saw us waiting. He was kind enough to get us our truck early so we could continue with our move. The employee stated he thought the location we booked at originally wasn't operating any longer! Why could we book a truck if the business wasn't operating any longer...and why would we be sent to a different location at a time before they opened? And this location was also farther from our move so of course this cost more in mileage. Disappointed in your system but only good things to say about the employee that helped us.MARK M.

This wasn't supposed to be my drop off location. I was scheduled to drop off T 602 W Washington and when I got there guy was just leaving and said I needed to take it somewhere else or he was goi g to charge me $300 more. Said he had too many trailers already. If I would have come 5 minutes later it wouldn't have been an issue because I was allowed to drop off after hours and that was the scheduled location. Very poor planning/scheduling on the part of U-Haul.Darrel B.

Had requested a furniture dolly along with a moving truck. The dolly was not in the truck, resulting in having to drive back and wait about 30 minutes to get the dolly. For future customers, particularly those doing a mobile pick up, would great suggest ensuring items that are rented and purchased are in the truck. This location could also greatly benefit by having more than one person assisting individuals.Yazmin C.

I drove the truck 5.5 miles and never used the AC or let the truck idle but somehow they charges me for 3.3 gallons of fuel. So the truck gets 2 miles to the gallon? I will never return to this place since they feel the need to pad their sales--awful customer service.Gregory L.

I set my reservation to the McFarland TrueValue. However, they longer work with U-haul. It caused quite a bit of trouble with my pickup and caused a significant delay. The improvement that could be made is to remove the McFarland TrueValue location from your website and app.Carl T.

We were never contacted prior to pick-up and had to track down information about where and when to pick up. At the location, it was busy, but the staff was frustrated and rude to customers. Instead of saying, "I'm busy and you just need to wait" he should have said, "I will help you when I finish helping others." Aside from a few noted dents on our equipment, it was fine. However, another customer rented a truck with clear mechanical issues.Terri H.
I picked up my truck at this location on a Sunday at 9am with the same location identified as the drop off location. At 1:04pm I received a text from 84285 stating my drop off location had been changed to a location about 10 miles away. This was unacceptable given that I'd have no way of getting from this new location back home. I received no warning of this change and I was only able to rectify this issue with the help of the staff at the Baraboo location after multiple hours of waiting on hold and not being able to contact the ones who made the change. It's possible this issue originated from the "traffic" office (their phone number is 608-221-0057) and if that's the case then the Park Street Storage location should receive a 5 star rating and this feedback needs to be applied to the traffic office who has provided me unacceptably horrible customer support. If possible, please forward me a link so that I may leave feedback directly for the traffic office.Griffin S.

The first reservation I made was in Shawano, WI. the gentleman told me that it might not be possible bit they would try to get one close by coming from the south. I received a call a day later from Green Bay he very accusatory toward the gent in Shawano I set him straight then he said the only option was 50 mile north, I asked about south of there and he said he did not have access to that info. I find it hard to believe that an organization as big as u-haul couldn't move the car hauler for me in 7 days to avoid me going 100 miles out of my way, or that he couldn't have checked locals south of there. He was not much help. The rep in Shawano was awesome as was the rep in Madison nothing but great things for those guys.Mark W.

I've rented from U'Haul perhaps 14 times since October. Normally, I go to a different location (normally Packers and occasionally W Washingon). Packers professionals are awesome. The W Washington people are good to great. Thus, when the person was not that friendly at this location, it was noticeable. He acted like someone just doing their job, so it was not bad. However, it was not special either. Also, I really needed one extra hour on the trip and he said the U'Haul was going back out right away so he said no. That's ok, if it was true. I rushed and raced and stressed about getting it back ontime. When I did 10 min early I noticed that two other U'Haul trailers were sitting there. Maybe things changed in a day, maybe not. Normally, if I am out putting back a U'Haul a worker would stop by if they are in the lot and not busy with something else. This worker was cutting the grass. He did come over to tell me that maybe I should move closer to the spot (tight fit) before unhooking. I did not see I could pull around and come back for a better angle. Thus, I appreciate him pointing this out. Although, like I said earlier, normally the worker would come over. I realize it is hard to stop mowing in the middle of it, and maybe his lawn mower starts hard if one stops it and then starts it back up (this happens to mine), but I generally expect that he just was not as interested as people at the other places of giving the customer and exceptional experience. Again, it was not bad, but definitely not like I've received at the other two locations. I'll admit, at those locations my experience is well beyond expectations. This person did his job, and that's pretty much it. Many do this. However, to grow a business, the customer needs to feel great.Gordon S.
Location added charges that I did not consent to nor authorize. Requested refund and still waiting. Uhaul is a racket designed to provide poor service and unauthorized charges and then you are stuck trying to get through to staff that doesn't care.Mark T.
