Anne LenyardThe experience is strongly reduced by the hidden, in a text, threat of a $20 "fine" if I did not self report the return after hours, and before an employee found the key in the box and reported it. I believe that many people who are not glued to texts who end up paying that fine because they did not see the email and act on it soon enough. If you are closed, finding the key in the box should be the reporting of the return - as I believe it used to be. I am sure it is written in the teeny tinny language on the contract that most people would have trouble reading even if they wanted to. If this is not a fine, maybe it is legal, hidden theft. Shame on you!!! And if I had not turned it in during open ours and was hit with the theft trap, I might have used more offensive language. I will shop around the next time.
George PennMake sure the padlocks actually work: a lock that won’t open even with the key is decoration, not security. Label the gas cap with the contents of the gas can, so I don’t have to guesstimate how much needs to be refilled. Make it easy for me to authorize more than one driver — yes, even if “the contract’s already printed.” Teach your staff what ethanol is, so I can get a straight answer as to whether the truck can accept E10 or E15 fuel. If you use a zip tie to determine whether the dolly has been used, don’t provide a pre-broken tie as an excuse to charge me for it whether or not I ever use it!

Colleen RobinsonI was able to finish my move early, and I guess there is no discount for early return of the truck, so I paid double and U-Haul could rent to to someone else and get paid twice. I was also charged for 2 gallons of gas when I only drove a total of 9 miles. I'm pretty sure that the little truck gets better than 4.5 miles/gal. Overall, it was fine though.

Patrick SchommerI reserved this U haul on 7/18 for 8/1 and also reserved a dolly. When we got there we were told they were "all out of dollies." We came from out of the area, and had I known that ahead of time, I would have made arrangements to get or borrow one. If you select it on your reservation, it should be available, and if not available, we should have been told ahead of time.
MARK ABELSRipped off by the checkout counter. Drove the truck 6 miles for a move between apartment buildings for my daughter. Filled up the tank with a gallon of gas back to the original fill level, but I was then charged by the checkout counter an ADDITIONAL $13 fee for 3 (!!!) gallons of gas despite only driving 6 miles. I tried to dispute the charge & they refused to have a conversation. I will NEVER use this location again.
Kevin GallThe check in is an absolute dumpster fire. The pics don’t load and you end up wasting a half hour. The website is terrible. I might as well bring my own camera and develop the negatives in the parking lot. It would be better than the brain dead website. I can’t call it an app because apps work occasionally. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to load this info ahead of time. I’ve rented multiple times so you should have my license. I think I will use other options moving forward because the pick up and drop off are so awful.

Laurens BeranAwful process. I was never given a number for the lockbox, an employ happened to be there early and saw me struggling for a half hour. The pictures didn’t look anything like the actual vehicle either so I couldn’t find it and had to call for help.

Ryan DonvanThe guy at the counter explained nothing about the online checkout/check-in procedure. He asked if it was my first time renting a truck with UHaul and I said yes. When he gave me the keys he said, make sure you replace the gas to just under half and put the key in the dropbox. He knew it was my first time but said nothing else. 2 hours after I returned the truck with WELL over half a tank of gas, I noticed a text with a link to the extensive check-in process. I panicked! I drove back to the location and tried to scan a barcode at the door. I couldn't find one at any door. I watched the check-in instructional video from the parking lot and started freaking out because there was no way to take a picture of the mileage and the gas tank because I already turned in the key. I was very worried I would be charged extra so I called customer service. She was wonderful! After she talked me down from the ledge, I felt a little better and decided to just wait until they opened in the morning and checked in the truck I rented. In the end, I paid just under $40 for a $19.95 rental. (I did not get the insurance.) He charged me $7.12 for gas. I ALREADY PAID $10 when I put it in the truck on my way back. I left it well WELL OVER the amount that was in it when I picked it up. I decided to cut my losses and just pay the extra money but never go back to that location again. I will be needing a truck in June to move across the country and I can guarantee I will NOT be getting a Uhaul from him. I will drive across town to go to a different location if I decide to give Uhaul another try. You should do the same.

John FrautschyThe location was changed when my flight was delayed, and the process of remote getting your keys was NIGHTMARE in below-freezing weather. Worse case of frostbite ever. No dolly, great moved by myself with no dolly....Customer Service did good though, they stayed on the line with me until I got the keys out.
