The gentleman was not there. He had called me and let me know he would not be there the night before, but the online pick up was not working. I called the uhaul number and was in hold for 20 min. The uhaul representative changed the the booking so I could pick it up through the phone app. Then I had problems with the bar code on the key box not scanning. The app was a pain. It took over an hour to get the truck.

I called ahead since this location is also a used car dealership. I asked where to park the trucks. He said to back them in next to the existing U-Haul equipment. The problem is the truck I have is 26 feet long. The only parking space I could've backed in was maybe 13 feet as there was a dumpster in front of it. I had to pull the truck in front of all the U-Haul equipment and leave it.

I reserved this truck well in advance. When I picked it up on May 21 2020 at 9:00 am it was filthy inside and had dog hair all over inside the cab. Before I could go back to the office to complain Cody (owner?) hadall ready left the property I called his number to complain and he finally answered I told him who I was and my complaint and that I did not want to be charged for cleaning the truck he said I wouldn't but offered no reasons why it was dirty and WHY IT WAS NOT SANITIZED which is a practice that is in accordance with COVID-19 pandemic and which is on your website saying how much U-Haul is doing to protect there customers. After spending over 800.00 dollars and putting my trust in your company to receive a CLEAN truck to move my belongings and have a safe and secure move I was unable to return the truck to get a new one or have it cleaned due to my time restraints as this move was planned and reservations made well in advance. I am disappointed and was not able to relax completely during the move not knowing who or what was in this truck I had to wear gloves and masks during a 12 hour trip. I should have been able to drive and feel comfortable. I was not and because of this it created more stress on me over and above the normal amount a move creates because U-Haul did not live up to its claim that I would receive a clean and sanitized truck. I Am making a complaint and feel I should receive some monetary compensation because U-Haul did not fulfill there part of the contract. I paid on time and full filled my part of the contract. I should be compensated for this unhealthy move.
