This was the hardest way to pick up a truck took us over an hour to get access had to call and wait on hold, and was not helpful. Paid for time I didn't use. Very inefficient and would not do again from this location.Hayley C.
If a booking is made with specific equipment, the equipment should be checked so that is actually in the vehicle. While we pay per km for mileage I don't think it is appropriate for the customer to put gas in the vehicle so that we don't run out. I don't think the vehicle is in any condition to be used properly. The engine light was on the whole time, the truck did not accelerate properly, there was a burning smell of either brakes or transmission. Overall the truck was in poor driving condition.Brad M.

Fulkerson's charged for fuel when I return it with fuel. Fuel Guage sent in email shows 1/4 empty, I returned 3/4 full! The same as when picked up. Sketchy location.Brittany O.
The u haul back door was left open and there was snow all over the floor, which made it extremely slippery. When I tried to check in online like it said, it wouldn't work. I had to go inside and have the employee do it. The website kept saying I was at the wrong location while I was standing right beside the truck in the parking lot.Amanda L.
As this was not the intended drop (read below on the MAJOR issues I had trying to change locations) I can't review other than this was the only place that was helpful. The location at 885 Rutland Rd N, Kelowna, BC V1X 3B6 was USELESS and most unhelpful. Everyone person I spoke to didnt seem to know what was going on. I have no idea how uhaul remains in business with the amount of bullsh*t I experienced in a 2 day rental. Never again. And I would never recommend uhaul to anyone. In fact I would tell them to hire literally any other truck company. 4. Ok, fine. I tell her I will call the location in Kelowna which I do before leaving the uhaul lot. Orignal drop location was 1953 Pandosy St, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1R9 and I wanted to change it to the 24 hour drop location at 205 Adams Rd, Kelowna, BC V1X 7R1 (SEE SCREENSHOT BELOW). I call and leave a message with my rez # all of my details and my phone number asking to call me back if there are any issues. In the 48 hours I had the truck, no call back, so assumed all was ok to drop. 5. Last night, after 2 very long days of moving and driving, I am trying to return the truck via the app, as I know the location is a 24 hours drop, no one on-site at 7:45pm. This is when it gets even more fun: a. The app is not working. I have all â€œlocation servicesâ€ on my phone turned on, yet the app won't detect where I'm at, so I'm stuck as it won't let me move forward in the return. b. I spend the next 45 mins calling customer service waiting on hold to speak to someone. c. Finally, get an agent who says I can't drop where I am (205 Adams Rd) because my reservation doesn't show this new address on my rez. She says the location not make the change in the system. She says I have to take it to the original location at 1953 Pandosy St. I tell her this is not my fault and that I am not driving all the way across the city to drop the truck. d. She says she will speak to her manager. After being left on hold for 15 mins to speak to her manager, she says he told her that 205 Adams Rd is not a 24-hour drop location. I tell her the system clearly shows it is (see screenshot below), but she shares that her manager states that it is not and that I have to go to another location nearby that is a 24/7 drop and to leave the key in the front door drop. This location is at 885 Rutland Rd N, Kelowna, BC V1X3B6. She says everything has been taken care of by her, all I need to do is drop the key through the door, take photos of the truck, including the inside and the gas gauge and I'm good to go. At this point, I'm just so happy to finally have a place to drop after dealing with her for over an hour. e. We drive to 885 Rutland Rd N and there is no uhaul signage whatsoever. It's actually a convenience store. I go inside to drop the keys, the guy says sorry, you're not in our system, we can't take the truck. I ask him to have his manager call uhaul, explain everything I just went through with the agent on the phone, even showed him the text I got from uhaul confirming this address to drop the truck and he says no. I am so frustrated at this point I tell him I'm going to leave the key under the mat, uhaul can deal with it. He says if I leave the truck he will have it towed and send me the bill. f. I finally give up, and we decide to return the truck to the original location at 1953 Pandosy st. (again on the OTHER SIDE of the city!!!) This too is a convenience store, but the guy already knows the back story because I called him while my partner was waiting on hold with uhaul for 20 mins. as I had no idea what to do). He has already had a chance to speak with his manager, and he says that although I am not in the system, he kindly takes the key, checks me out and we're done. It's now 9 pm and it's taken 75 minutes to return a truck.wes P.

Clean the Uhaul before each customer picks it up. Especially during the pandemic as I was very disappointed to see food residue and sticky fingerprint marks on the steering wheel, seat belts etc. Also the truck needed a whole quart of motor oil which I paid for and out in the truck.Megan R.

I was told to pick the cube van up at this location and when I got there I was told to go back to the Enterprise location. We went to the enterprise location and then they phoned the Pandosy location and explained the rental to them and we went back to Pandosy. When we got there he couldn't figure out how to complete the rental. It turned out the previous rental hadn't been completed yet. He was alone in the store so I had to go out and get the mileage for him and the gas level.CAMERON W.

I had paid for everything when I booked on line. I had put in the driver's license and everything. When we arrived the process to get the truck was awful. The worker at the store said we had not paid and we owed over 500 dollars. I proved I already paid then he said I had no insurance but I had. He then called headquarters they said I still needed to pay the taxes. Really should that have not been covered when I prepaid my order? Will be checking my MasterCard. Things just seemed shady compared to other places we picked up a u haul.Laurence D.

This was not an experience I'm used to from U-Haul. Took a long time getting checked out...even though I was only customer and had filled out info online during reservation. Truck was snow covered, no snow brush or scraper...had to sit there and idle for 20 minutes until windshield de-iced. As overcharged for insurance even though I had opted out when I made reservation, so had to waste more time calling in to get a refund....which looks like they refunded without refunding the tax I paid on the insurance. The truck cab was absolutely filthy, sticky seats and steering wheel and all three cup holders were 1/2 filled with water the windshield and side windows were filthy and difficult to see out off, there was a newspaper still on the dash along with other trash. When returning the vehicle, the operator said after a while "ok you can go now"....did not tell me the final costs... I had to ask. Brutal! Hopefully never again.Les A.
The staff at Pandosy food basket are not trained enough. It always takes 30-45 minutes to rent the truck (even with mobile pickup) and they are either on the phone or busy with other clients when they talk to you. The truck is always dirty.Pouria M.

Guy was super skeezy and just gave an untrustworthy vibe from the word go. When I came back he tried keeping all the paper work I initially left with - told me it was â€œhisâ€ copy. When I responded â€œNo, the carbon copy is yours, this one is mine?!â€ he replied â€œno both copies are mineâ€ He was super sketchy - dealing with him felt like I was on one of those Pakistany scam calls. My distance travelled was 14 miles over which some how cost me an extra 40 dollars?? The guy kept telling me uhaul systems were down and that if he over charged he contact me and give me the amount I was over charged! Yah okay, Im sure there buddy! I dont know if his english was as broken as he played it out to be, but he also seemed to play up the language barrier a lil more than he should. 19.99 rental cost over 80 bucks in the end??rob E.
Staff were NOT knowledgeable , did not know how to use the Uhaul computer system. It took us 40 minutes in the store to pick up the truck, and 20 minutes just to drop it off! It's a really poor set up to have it at a convenience store, as staff have to stop what they're doing to help customers in the store, while trying to complete a Uhaul transaction. I'm not even putting all the problems we had in this review, I'll be saving that for the email I send to the company.susan C.

Never did walk around inspection, charged safe driver fee but I never requested on reservation, told me it would be $115 and I asked how could that be when I refilled the gas, only went 18 miles and returned vehicle on time clean. Said oh, how about $71. I feel he was trying to rip me off if I said nothing.geoff F.
The guy who served me didn't run through or sign any documents, just gave me the keys. He input the input the wrong fuel amount on the piece of paper, then when I returned an hour later with the same amount of fuel he tried to claim it was a lot higher than it was, then he charged me for the $15 insurance when he didn't ask if I wanted it. He then argued that everyone takes it. He put up a fuss about refunding me the money when I clearly said I didn't want it on my online application for it. Would not recommend anyone go here.Edward S.

Absolutely horrible experience! Was quoted 19.95 plus mileage and they tried to charge me over $150. Employee didn't explain anything about the process to me in advance, took a cash deposit and then refused to return in as he couldn't figure out how to refund me the remaining balance. All this for a 2 hour rental, might as well have thrown the money away. Never again.Ciara E.
These guys were untrained and ill equipped. I was there for 3/4 hour while the guy tried to figure out the contract on the phone with his boss. I had to leave to get my helper as this was taking so long. I was not asked about the $15 insurence charge and got no paperwork to take on the job with me. The guy took a photo of the instruments for gas and odometer readings as did I. When I returned the truck the boss was there as well. I presented him with mt photo of the final reading and he worked out the bill. He charged me almost $40 too much and wouldn't budge on the bill even though I pointed out his miistakes on the milage charges. I just recieved 2 reciepts via e-mail. One was the store's original, the second an adjusted one crediting me $38. Guess I'll see what happens when I return tomorrow with the revised reciept and try to claim my $38. These were good guys who just didn't know what they were doingKen M.

Arrived @ pick up location & internet was not working so they could not add a driver or make changes that I needed. Staff at the location wanted to take pictures of my credit card and my husband's driver license to email to someone else to make the changes - I refused. I used my cell phone to make one of the changes I wanted and then just took the truck they gave me. When I returned the truck, the staff member didn't go over the truck with me regarding damage / fuel amounts because he said he couldn't leave the store. I had filled the gas tank to the 1/2 level mark, but when I rec'd the final invoice - they noted only 1/4 tank of gas in the truck which wasn't true.Brenda S.

My boyfriend and I are first time movers, and went into this experience completely excited. When he went to pick up the 15 foot moving truck that we had reserved (and had confirmation of reserving), they instead have us a 10 foot. They charged us for a 15 foot, but have us a 10 foot. Two of the three moving equipment items also weren't given to us. While we weren't charged for the two missing items, it almost ruined our move. The floor of the truck wasn't very clean. Very poor experience and would not recommend this location as the staff clearly aren't very good at processing U-Haul orders and reservations. Though I'm sure it's a wonderful corner grocery store.Lauren P.

The location is based out of a variety store in a rough neighborhood. There is no UHAUL sign to know where it is. The employee had no idea how to process it, it took 45 minutes. There was no supplies to buy either and there was only one truck available.Anthony V.
It took an hour for the customer service agent to fill out the form and authorize payment. During the process, he phoned a third party and gave ALL my personal info including drivers license number, address, and credit card information without identifying who he was providing the information to or why. When I brought up my concern about what he was doing, potential identity theft/credit card fraud, he addressed the concerns minimally. I don't believe Pandosy food basket should be a U-Haul location.Luke L.

Check in process was very poor. Even with online check-in there was a huge wait at pickup because no one knew how to process the transaction. Also, nothing was mentioned that there would be a $30 charge for filling up so the total cost was more expensive than planned. Overall, will not be picking up at Pandosy Food Basket again.Melanie L.
