When we picked up the trailer the person at the counter was wonderful and help with the hook up and provided the other items we rented. But when we dropped it off the employee was awful. He said he would email me my receipt without giving me the balance amount and did not help with the trailer or items I needed to return. He would not take the blankets unless they were folded neatly. Will look to do business somewhere else.

Overall, I would rate my Uhaul experience as less than 1 star. None of the equipment I reserved was available at the location that guaranteed the contract. The extra distance required to obtain the only equipment available cost me an extra of $30.00 in fuel and over 2 hours of wasted time. The car dolly reserved was not available and the car hauler I was told would replace it was not at the store that I was told to pick it up. Everyone made excuses as to why nothing was available. Very poor planning and logistics. I would never recommend Uhaul to anyone. You all really messed up my move. The truck supplier location failed to send me the final billing.

The two people essentially talked down to me about some concerns I had. The truck was dirty inside the cab with empty bottle, cigarette butts and dirt. I did call customer service about that and my other concerns.

The truck was extremely dirty inside and out. Gas was on empty empty. Dip spit spilled in the cup holders. Cigarette smell in the truck. The back was left open and leaves and dirt all over the inside.

From the booking process to the customer support, everything went smoothly. However, there was one aspect that left me somewhat concerned - the condition of the rental equipment. Let me start by highlighting the positives. U-Haul's customer service was excellent. The reservation process was straightforward, and the staff at the pickup location were friendly and efficient. The rental truck I received was clean and had plenty of space to accommodate all my belongings, making the packing process a breeze. Additionally, the return process was quick and hassle-free. However, my only gripe with the experience was the condition of the rental equipment itself. While the truck was clean, it did show signs of wear and tear that made me question its overall maintenance. Some parts of the vehicle felt a bit shaky as well as the ride, and I noticed a few minor issues with the interior. Given the long journey ahead of me, I was slightly apprehensive about the truck's reliability. Furthermore, when comparing the prices I paid with U-Haul to those offered by their competitors, I couldn't help but notice a discrepancy. It's my belief that U-Haul should consider adjusting their pricing strategy to be more competitive in the market. While I value their excellent customer service, matching prices with other rental companies would make them an even more appealing choice for customers. In conclusion, my experience with U-Haul was generally positive, thanks to their efficient customer service and clean rental truck. However, there is room for improvement in terms of equipment maintenance, as some issues made me question the reliability of the vehicle. Additionally, I recommend that U-Haul explores ways to match prices with their competitors to provide customers with even better value for their money. Despite these minor concerns, I would still consider using U-Haul for future moves due to their overall convenience and reliability.

They charged me $60 for gas and we put $20 of our own money in it brought the tank back up to full $60 was waaaaay to much maybe $20 more so I am very angry and will never use uhaul again plus the truck was filthy

I was given someone else's reservation due to the truck we reserved not being turned in on time. They didn't tell me till after I had paid and turned in the paperwork needed to finalize my rental. I was about to leave, but the cashier came running out explaining the situation and said I could still use the truck but I'd have to return in the next day as compared to my initial reservation. I had explained it may be a possibility but I didn't want to take it if it was going to be an issue. He said it'll be fine. After I already had the truck packed up at my home, I got a phone call asking when I was going to return the truck. I was confused since I had a 2 day reservation, I was told there wouldn't be an issue using the truck they provided and that I had paid before leaving. I had let them know I was only using it to store items as my home was being worked on and I would return the truck when I finished. The next day I had received 2 more calls regarding the return of the truck. They explained that the truck I had originally rented had just been returned and if I could "swap" it out. It was just me moving items at the time and was getting frustrated. I explained to him my reservation time and he argued with me. I let him know it wasn't my fault you let me leave with the other person's reservation and I didn't appreciate being hounded for their mistake. This was unprofessional and extremely rude of their employees to think this was ok. If my reservation was prolonged due to someone else returning the truck, I should have been provided an alternate option instead of another's reservation. I did return the truck within the day but that meant leaving some items out in the weather such as my recliner, coffee table, desks and 2 dressers. I did not anticipate the weather turning from sunshine to sprinkling rain which now I have to make sure my furniture isn't ruined. Bad job Palomar Uhaul!!!

No signage where to go to check out. Young man that assisted us had to wait for a manager because I wanted to be there when the truck was inspected. He was just going to check us out without verifying the mileage, gas level, and truck inspection. When I received the final billing I was charged $40 for an extra day. Not the $20 I was quoted when I picked up the truck. Not a good experience all around with UHAUL.
