Once driving in truck I realized that the drivers side didn’t even have a mirror on it. Very unsafe and no one even cared to inform me of this before paying for the truck. Very bad customer service

Buyer beware: I was charged $10 cleaning fee. Nothing in contract that I signed (at least my copy) mentioned this. If I was told verbally, I do not recall. this was a reduced fee (from the usual $25) due to the minimal sweeping of foam that they had to remove from the van. Just wish I had some knowledge of this when I returned the equipment. Hate hate hate hidden charges. Just leaves a bad taste.

The lady at the desk told me where to find the truck except it was not there and I had to search a large parking lot for it. The dolly and furniture blankets in the truck were taking up space that I had planned for and if I wanted a dolly and/or blankets, I would have rented them. Truck was not clean and did not have a full fuel tank.

I think the truck needed ATF. Transmission very noisy. Tires in the front were worn to the point of needing replacement. Young lady at the rental office was outstanding. Very helpful and courteous. Management material in my opinion Location was out of my way but I would go back.

My rental was a ball of confusion and I actually stopped moving at 10:30 Am on Sept 1 and waited for the representative to call back to confirm he had rectified the issue and ended up having to call around to verify my truck status and ended up turning my truck in early So I was very disappointed because I still have a storage fill of furniture

There is lots of parking because this location is in a strip mall. I do think the man who checked me in spent a bit too much time chatting, and when you rent a van, time is money. Drop off was a breeze, I just handed in my key, but there is a drop box too for those who rent after hours.

The only thing I wish had been different is the communication re pick up. We got there, store was closed, I didn't know what to do!!! Luckily, I logged in to UHaul.com and info was there. If I hadn't thought to do that, would have been really angry to have not had access to my truck. Otherwise great experience, loved the online system...worked GREAT (once I got to it)!

This is my go-to location for Uhaul rentals. Friendly, helpful service every time!

I did the 24/7 check-in but in order to pick up the keys I still had to wait in line and they wanted to verify the rental even though the app said all I needed to do was show them my phone. Seems like you shouldn’t offer that service if it’s not really available.

The employees at this location were incredibly rude when the vehicle's cargo door was stuck up. One suggested I wait until her husband come the next day. The other didn't help, saying she just cleaned the vehicles. Eventually, I was given a hammer to go try to fix it myself (which I thankfully did given that we needed to load up THAT DAY.) Employees were completely oblivious to my needs and refused to even swap out that truck for an additional. In addition, of the three DC-plugs, only 1 worked. I have always used U-Haul, but may not in the future.

There was only one person in the center to assist with my getting the truck. The location also handles fed ex, etc. There should have been a second person to assist with the process.

I was very disappointed calling the 888 number to return the vehicle I was given initially a location where nobody was there to accept the vehicle. Then I called back I spoke to a rap name Tony who hung up on me when I voiced my concern about being sent to the isolated location in Charlottesville. I called back a third time and finally reach someone that because I suggested directed me to the location where I turned it in. What was strange as when I first spoke to the 888 rep, I foolishly indicated how pleased I was with my experience so far. Uhaul should really tighten up on the Charlottesville locations they're isolated and that very well seen from the road.

Be more organized and ready when picking up the rental. Reserve a 17 foot over a week ago to get a call the day before to say there wasn’t any available. However gave us a larger truck at the rate for a 17ft. Arrive at 12 to pick up vehicle and it wasn’t ready. The girl was just cleaning it out so we had to wait. Didn’t officially get the truck until after 12:30 and still had to have it back by 5pm. Not happy. It’s disorganized they overbook another truck while we were waiting on ours.

I wish you would make the id process for self check in not so onerous. I am have limited mobility and had to stand in line much longer than I really could in the store because they were so busy. I should note that the man at the counter was exceptionally polite and proficient in serving us, but there was a long line forming behind us just for Uhaul.

Rented a panel van for one day. The van was clean and had very low mile on it. The people at Pack N Mail were quite nice.

Reserving the van by phone required three contact numbers. I only have one. We ended up using my wife's mobile and her work mobile. It would have been nice to know up front what contact numbers are required. I was scrambling in the parking lot to find numbers to complete the reservation process which was pretty frustrating.

They were very misleading as to the costs per day for the 10 ft. Truck. Called me about 7 times at work the next day. I explained to them that I couldn’t return until I got off work which would be around 6 p and with traffic I was looking at 6:30. They told me to leave the keys in the overnight box. I dropped off no later than 6:45 and was charged the following day for a whole other days worth of the truck. I ended up paying close to what I would have paid for professional movers

The U-Haul app was slow in verifying my driving credentials, like, a 20-minute lag. But everything went well after that, and the personnel at the shop were very helpful and cheerful, even though it was a very busy day for them.

While the experience I had with the location was very good, the overall experience I had with Uhaul was very bad and I do not plan to use UHaul again in the future. I reserved a ten foot truck, and after receiving an email yesterday referencing a 15 foot truck I called customer service to request that i receive the truck I had originally reserved. I spoke with 5 separate customer service agents over the course of 45 min in order to make this happen. Finally, when I arrived to pick-up the truck it was a 20 foot truck! This wasn’t close to what I reserved, and I am deeply unsatisfied with my experience with Uhaul. I do want to reiterate the the staff at the pack n mail location were very helpful and did a great job.

The truck was extremely dirty. There were dead bugs all over, and it was clear no one even thought of attempting to clean the truck. The cabin was also littered with crumbs and trash. It was gross. I only accepted the truck because I was early and there before hours. I am extremely disappointed--this was far below the quality of my past UHaul experiences.

The interaction with the self checkin via the app was frustration and challenging. The verification call to my wife wasn’t smooth and i’m not understanding why it needed to be made. This extended the length of my truck checkout by 5 minutes.

My van was ready and I did the online check in. Even though I had entered everything already I had to do it again. Then it said waiting for approval for 15 minutes. The lady said we’ve been calling you to confirm we almost didn’t have a van ready for you. What? I did everything right. I have no messages just an email saying I’m good to go. Who knew I needed a phone call. The computers were down. It was very chaotic. Took forever. I was not impressed with the uhaul checking process.

I was promised a truck pickup by 9:30am. When I arrived my truck was not there and I had to get a different size. The app to check my self out wasn’t working so I had to be checked out inside. Their system was also not working and I couldn’t get my truck until and hour after I arrived (while lovers waited at my house). A woman who arrived after me was checked out before me because they had to go find the key to the truck I needed and decided to help her in the meantime, which was nice but they didn’t assist her with using her phone to complete her truck rental so I helped her get checked out, which caused me to wait even longer for my own rental completion. The location was very unorganized and full of excuses for the several customer service issues. The staff was nice, and the truck was in good working order, but the overall experience was not good. I’ve never had issues like this with Budget Truck or an actual unhealthy rental center.

The first person that I dealt with was fine. She seemed to have a good grasp of the business and the software to implement the rental contract. I was told by her that she would be at the store promptly at 10am, more probably at 9:30 to 9:45 before actual opening. I wanted to maximize the time for loading and rriving to our new home location so I was there at 9:55. She didn't show up for the entire half hour plus that I was dealing with an obviously new hire. I can't blame her for her lack of expertise but do blame the original person for failing to show up. The new hire should not have been thrown to the wolves like that but credit her for handling it as best she could.

This drop off was my first experience with this location. Without any comparable experiences I'm not sure I can render an impartial conclusion. With that said I saw that this site was working both Fed/Ex shipments and post office boxes with truck/trailer equipment rentals. So I question whether they can focus on Truck/Trailer equipment rentals efficiently. Even so, with that said, my experience was satisfactory.
