While Derek at the 23rd St U-Haul location was excellent and searched for options for me AFTER U-Haul notified me that my reserved truck wasn't available, the phone agent that I tried to deal with was DISGUSTING. She showed no compassion that my reservation was dropped. She did not try at all to identify options. Her attitude was basically "screw off". Thankfully Derek at the 23rd St location made it work, but he did say that many customers talk about the terrible U-Haul phone service. Nevertheless, the anxiety until things were solved was excruciating!Glen P.

At first we made a reservation 1 month prior to needing a uhaul truck, as we were moving over 500km. Went to a uhaul location the day before getting the truck was told everything looks good but I will need to pick up the truck in a different town. I was fine with that as they were going to add on km for the inconvenience. Then I was given a 1800 number to confirm this. I called the number and then told they had no truck or car dolly trailer in the area. This was unacceptable! Then the person on the phone finally found a truck but no trailer. There was a trailer, not in the area, they told me if I wanted it I would have to go get it which was over 200kms one way. I do not understand why I make a reservation it basically absolutely nothing. Moving is already stressful enough before adding all of this! I'm greatful we actually got a truck, but the experience was horrible! And then to top off the experience they charged me extra kms.DAVIN K.

As the gates were open but the uhaul office was closed we had a very difficult and time wasting time looking for the drop box - which is attached to the open gate -- would work well when gates closedJeanAnn P.
Request for dolly. Not in Truck. Advised location we needed a truck with 3 seats. The truck had 2 seats and we had to send someone on the bus home. Unacceptable billing charges. Weeks later they used my card again for a charge that was not agreed to. I will not use this location again. Weeks have gone by without being compensated.Julie M.
Fix your computer system. I was there for 3 hours through no fault of the staff at the location who were amazing. But because your completely online system was screwing up and would not allow the ALREADY PAID FOR rental to complete so I could leave.Toby N.

I booked through central reservations and they got ne and pH number wrong Also what size trailer I needed. Then nobody would telle where I was to pick up the unit. The lady at Pacific interior trucks came toy rescue and after much.hard work arranged fore to pick it up at her location. Probably the only decent thing about this rental. Plus I was forced to drop it off in some backwoods outfit in Okotoks which wasn't actually in Okotoks. I wanted to drop off in Nanton but apparently that was a no nostephen W.

Was charged DOUBLE the online price for 2 of 3 items I paid for, owner/front desk had NO idea how to use the systems, ring in items etc. Took 1 full hour to complete my rental purchase. Too many people scheduled to pick up rentals at the same time. NEVER GOING BACKChelsey G.

Georgina at Pacific Interior Trucks was INCREDIBLE. She went above and beyond for me, she was reliable and overall just so pleasant. If I ever need a uhaul truck again or someone I know, I will send them right to her. However, as for uhaul, I will try to not use their services going forward unless I have to as they are so unorganized, the 1-800 number is extremely unhelpful, unreliable and rude. They first changed the size of the truck I reserved without telling me, then cancelled it without telling me, and told me there was nothing they could do before I found Georgina who was able to make magic happen for me somehow. Uhaul was NOT easy for her to deal with either. Thankfully after everything Georgina did for me and her very specifc instructions for truck pick up after hours SHE made moving easier for me. Not uhaul. Uhaul needs to get their shit together in Vernon and Georgina needs a RAISE!!Eric A.

Get a debit machine. Perhaps not have it take 1.5 hours to return a cash deposit. Also maybe stop being so petty about where a hand-movable trailer is parked. A few leaves in an open trailer are worth charging a cleaning fee for? We will never be using this location for this type of service again. The delay in a simple trailer return was beyond ridiculous.Edie L.

The woman who helped me with the rental was wonderful. The truck was clean BUT it had a non/working AC. It was cold that day so i didn't realize it wasn't working at the time but i wish they had known that and given me a working truck considering i was driving 7 days down to Florida in the heat. This simple check could have saved me the stress and discomfort and save you guys the pain in the neck I'm going to be until i get a refund.Colleen B.

The staff were friendly and efficient but this location had no cash on hand and did not accept debt cards. The boss actually wentto the lunxh room to get the workers to break a fifty. The site was not open to retun the truck and I had to return 2 days later to be told my $4 return would be sent by check taking 3 weeks and costing more than $4 in postage, paperwork and employee time to mail it ???Ken M.

The location was listed as open so that I could do a pickup with a human being instead of the app, which has been an utter disaster historically. Instead, the location was closed and I had to speak with a neighboring business to get assistance with the pick up. Then there were issues with mileage and gas usage. Not a fan of UHaul and will not be using the service again. Always check your bills to make sure everything lines up correctly!Ivana S.

Need same trailer by the 15th of May. Can't find width of trailer, to haul my jeep from Calgary. My jeep approx 6.5' width.Ievgen L.
The location for pick up is not manned or open to the public. We used truck share 24/7 which was an absolute nightmare. Afyer many phone calls We didn't get access to the vehicle until after 3 when we had it booked for the morning. 1. No one told us, nor was it written anywhere that we had to pick it up AT 930 am. 2. When we finally got thru to a 2nd csr, (after the first one hung up on us) she tried to help and said that the truck share site was dow/having difficulties earlier. It kept looping us from "pick up your truck to let's get started and back to pick up your truck" 3. Our second car was also very helpful and did finally assist us to have access to the keys and walk us thru the application process. Then we find out we need to be verified. Standing on the side of the road in the middle of a move and now you ask for a second piece of ID such as a passport or a employer or other phone number...what if no one was home? Would we have to stand there until you reached someone...in the rain on the side of the road? 4. No one told us, not was it written anywhere that we would need to be verified. Luckily for us, it worked out well. 5. There was no dolly as was requested. 6. When we reserved the storage until, the website let's you believe the location was manned until 7pm and there was 24 hr access, which was not the case when we got there. 7. Because there was only one person on at the storage location we stood in line for over a half hour only to be told we could not unload that night. We had to drive to a friend's place to park for the night. 8. One plus, upon returning the next day...we were able to upsize our storage unit without much problem, thank you for that. The three young gentleman who helped us those two days, did very well considering how many upset customers they had, we were not the only ones. The only name i got was Vaughn who was awesome! 9. We are very disappointed and frustrated for how long we were delayed with our move...though as I heard from waiting in line...some had it much worse as you didn't even have trucks for them as promised. Still,we hope that Uhaul would do good, we would like to see some compensation for the half day that we lost waiting for our truck and the delayed access to the storage locker that cost us another day of having to unload. We did wait around for a bit, hoping to talk with Cale at the kelowna location but he was not accessible in person, we were told he was busy in the back and we didn't have more time to waste. Very upsetting. Right now Uhaul gets 1 star out of 5, and that is only for the 3 awesome young men who helped us and were able to change our storage unit.Lynn E.
Let the customers know that the drop box for returning the key is way on the other side of the property. It took us 15 minutes to find the box along with a 10 minute phone call and an online chat. Extremely poor communication on Uhaul's part.Dennis F.

The uhaul was full of dollys and parts in which we had to unload before we left the dealership. Returning the uhaul was even worse, uhaul emailed me to return the unit to a location an hour and a half away. I called and complained so location of return was changed to where it was originally agreed upon. 2 weeks later still no refund. Now I have to wait for a cheque to be mailed to me. Won't use uhaul again!Michael P.
I dropped off truck 2:30pm Sunday at the location you selected and tried to phone that it was there to Uhaul , could not get app to work again . Gas was as I received it and dirty outside as received . I did go back Monday morning as no one could confirm the truck was received .No one answered the phone and still have not had a reply . These are unacceptable fees and this is not the first time gas indicator has been wrong .. Padded on the up side leaving and on the low side returning .Bert M.
when the door says open.. actually have someone there to open the door. Not lock it and go somewhere ese. And clean that bathroom, or at least flush the toilet ! Well I got an auto transport trailer and blew 2 tires and was repaid for only 1 tire, when I sat on the highway for hours with kids/ babies in the truck at -25. Also cost me a tow and was never even offered repayment.Angela B.
