I reserved a 15ft Truck March 30th and when Uhaul called to tell me location to pick it up was told they only had 20ft available May 30th! Which cost me more in gas! And 2 hours before I was to drop off the truck uhaul called and changed my storage location which was way out of they way, which caused me to be late dropping the truck! I spent humorous stressful hours on the phone with uhaul during a very stressful move! I would like A REFUND! I have spent thousands of dollars with uhaul! Over my years of being in the military and doing ditty moves! This was the worst ever!GERALD S.
The online information provided was not available when I arrived to pick up the truck after I was informed that completing the information will reduce processing time in half. Also, the mileage gauge needs to be definitive to assist with no overcharging customers.Tonya M.
I had a 7am reservation at a location that didn't open until 10am. GPS was not recognizing my location, and the gentleman at the location refused to help me or speak to me about the issue. He asked me to leave.KYLE S.

The facility was not even open when I arrived. Why in the world would you allow a rental location to be chosen knowing the business is only open Monday - Friday. I selected a pickup on Saturday I had to take a cab from the airport & then there was no one at the facility. I had to call for another cab to pick me up & take me to a U-Haul location that was a horrible hotel/U-Haul facility. I did not feel safe at the front desk of the hotel/u-haul. I think there should have been some financial reduction because the new location did not have the same size truck hence causing me to spend more money to get to another location & the bigger truck they gave me cost me more money in gas.Anita H.
Horrible, nasty, smelled unbelievably bad, hookers and people being loud, didn't open at pick up time, I would NEVER use uhaul again if they keep this place a part of their company.Michael M.

This is in a bad area, several obvious meth-heads hanging around. I wouldn't want to go there at night! The place was pretty clean, those people hanging around did not make it inviting. But the owner did a great job checking us in, was very polite and competent.Larry J.

I had a very bad experience with uhaul. I went to Jackson uhaul and storage on hwy 80 where my reservation was schedule to pick up. I waited 1hr 39 mins to only find out that equipment wasn't there. I was sent to three locations before finding the equipment that was reserve for me.Dasmond H.

Shady, seedy hotel. The owner (whom i had to wait on to get my trailer because he "doesnt trust anyone else to do the paperwork correctly) was over an hour late for my reservation. (res at 10, he wouldnt show up till 11). because of this, i had to drive in the pouring down rain. if he would have been on time like he was supposed to be, i would have missed the rain. VERY bad business practice to let an ALREADY PAID UP CUSTOMER sit and wait for you because you want to show up whenever the hell you feel like.Thomas H.

I live in Pearl MS and recently reserved a truck online. When I got to the store the order was not in the system and they did not have the truck. They sent us to another location with the promise of a truck being available but again we were not compensated for the other truck and were given a much smaller truck. The customer service rep was rude and unhuman!!! the people at the locations tried, I think but I live in a small very racist town so I could easily have been experiencing some of their racism or the like no telling(for instance, I get there and see a white couple leaving in the exact truck I had reserved and the fact that there was a truck on the lot that met the requirements of my order but I was still sent to another store). Even taking a photo to reserve the rental made me wonder at the way it was handled no less. Anyways it was my go to place and now I feel jadedPhillip J.

Don;t go! This is a convienent store and only 1 person was working. Guy was nice,but really bad area and no help. It took me over 2.5 hours to get this trailer picked up. I went by Pearl store to make arrangements for pick up 2 days in advance and I was told would be available at the Pearl Store, arrived, and sent to Ellis store and then had to go to the Elton store. Pearl store people were a joke, Ellis folks tried hard to help.TONY T.

I reserved my truck to be picked up in Pearl Mississippi which was 2 miles from where I work. On the day I was supposed to pick it up, I was notified that the truck was at the Elton Road store in south Jackson--more than 20 miles from where I was planning on picking up the truck. After I left and arrived at the furniture store to pick up my furniture, I realized the Uhaul store did not put the furniture pads I had paid for in the truck. So I had to go to another U-Haul location to get pads. All of this added an additional 30 to 35 miles to my trip tgatvI had not planned on and wasn't my fault, yet I was charged an overage charge on mileage as a result when I turned in the truck. I don't think I should've been charged for Uhaul's mistake. .Nathan C.

The cab had dirt and sunflower seeds all in the truck and the loading area was completely dirty and had something sticky on the floor. I had to clean it out myself before using it. Also I paid $12 extra for furniture mats and they didn't put them in the truck. Didn't get a refund either. Truck ran fine and ultimately I got moved in ok.Jordan C.

Where I signed up on the web site and where the truck was located were two different places. Need to make sure and confirm with clients where to be picked up and that truck is truly available.Jennifer C.
the Uhaul manager for that area was not very helpful, when the computer system would not recognize my form of payment. The clerk on site called repeatedly asking for assistance. I ended up having to pay cash because the manager refused to assist or take a check. I felt like I was manipulated into using that form of payment.lisa H.
My reserved truck was not there and the manager said he was not aware I had one. I had to ask about options because he said nothing about helping. I asked about a trailer he had and it took him an hour to complete the contract. He could not type and I believe that this is the first time he did this. Did not offer any advice or appoligy for the mishap. I will never use Uhaul again based on my experience and I will tell everyone I know not to use you. I am very very unhappy and upset. I had family helping me and was working with a time frame with my new landlord that I could not keep. The place I dropped the trailer off at was not very polite and tried to blame me for having problems dropping it off. You need to look at customer service. Very poor.RALPH B.

The man inside needs to be more organized. When he called about having the truck I needed, he couldn't seem to get my date of pick-up right or the size of my truck right. Also, when I picked the truck up, his area-which is a small glass window on the far corner of a gas station- was so disorganized, I wasted time, waiting for him to shuffle papers to find the key to the truck.John S.

Clerk was not capable of completing rental in a timely manner (it took 45 minutes). Was scheduled to return car hauler at 7 p.m., we arrived and the store was closed. We took trailer home to return during open hours. After returning trailer, clerk advised trailer could have been left. Very unprofessional!!TERA V.

The gentleman was not trained by the owner of the store on how to use the computer to check me out and issue me my trailer I reserved.... He called a lot of people trying to figure it out no one could help. I don't blame him because he tried hard. It's the crummy owner that should have taught him how to use it. I was late to pick up my car and when I was driving at night I had no running lights. The cable was messed up I had to buy a new one. I wasn't even supposed to be driving at night if I didn't get my trailer an hour late. This man should not be a Uhaul dealer I have never had an issue at all with Uhaul until now....shane S.

Mileage was 2 miles off when I picked it up, have to mention first so they would take the 2 miles off. I should be able to trust the paperwork when they give it to me especially when I am paying .59 a mile.Dave W.
A clearer closing time would be nice, I hoped to check back in with the location when I returned the truck, but they were closed. It was nice however that there was no strict time limit, when I've rented from larger uhaul locations they often restrict the amount of time you can use the truck even if you requested more than the standard 4 hours.Amanda R.

On the plus side, they were very helpful to get hooked up ... my electrical connection was corroded and their assistance at the end of the day to correct this was critical to the lighting situation. On the negative side, I was returning at the end of the day and called to be certain of the closing hour. After getting assurance the location would be manned until 6PM, I pushed very hard to be there by 5:45 so I would have help getting the trailer disconnected. Arriving at 5:45, I was very unhappy to find the establishment closed for the evening even though I had called an hour before to confirm the closing hour - the hours posted on the door said they'd be there until 6 as well. I hurt myself getting the heavy 6X12 trailer off my hitch by myself - a stupid thing to do driven by my need to be elsewhere the following morning. My paperwork came in the next morning in my email, all done correctly. I would use them again, but I will be returning my equipment by 3 next time to assure that somebody will be there so I don't hurt myself again. They shouldn't make assurances about their closing time they have no intention of keeping. The fact that I hurt myself getting that trailer off was entirely my fault, but some of your other customers might not see it that way. Thanks. Rick BonifaceRICK B.

It was is a dirty old shop with rude shop mechanics. Who made it clear that I was bothering them to rent a truck. They claimed the truck was "dirty" and charged my card 30plus dollars for a fee when I know I cleaned it top to Bottom. They also could not provide proof of what was dirty. My question is are all u-haul shops this bad and charge false charges to everyone with out proof?daniel W.
