The issue was with the remote picking up and dropping off process. The system was down at pick-up and then we were told that since we didn't show up within our estimated pick-up time the process was frozen. This cost us about 90 minutes to work it out. The people we did call from U-Haul to help us remotely were helpful, though.

When we ordered the truck, we were told someone would be at the store. No one was. We had to do the check in via phone and had an issue getting into our truck. The unlocking process was very difficult, plus, they had a truck parked right at the bumper of our truck, so we had to climb between the two trucks and stand on the bumper of our truck to try and unlock it. Then we discover the truck only had a half tank of gas. If you need to return the truck with a full tank, why was ours only at half?? I would never recommend this location to anyone. Unfortunately being as it is a small college town there are not many choices. Let's just say we are glad to be done with dealing with this location as this was not the first time we had an issue.

They were great! Unfortunately my experience with U-Haul self storage failure was terrible. We had reserved a unit months in advance at U-Haul in in Coletrain, Ohio, as my daughter was graduating college this past weekend. She had to be out of her residence by a specific date and time while also going through graduation. As such we had limited time and reserved a moving van as well as a self storage unit for all of her possessions. She has two months between now and the start of her lease and start of job in a city far from home. When we showed up with a full van to unload her possessions and then head to graduation, we are quickly told that all units are taken. When provided a reservation confirmation, the attendant was unmoved and said that often happens because the online reservations are not linked with the local sites. They offered no assistance to find an alternative solution and really did not care. We quickly found another location (non-U-Haul) and fortunately made the graduation by minutes! I am 59 and rarely get upset and try to maintain perspective and common sense. This was one of the worse experiences of customer service from the misleading feeling that a storage unit would be available to a poorly trained and prepare employee who showed no ability to be empathetic and a problem solver. The task was beyond the employees ability and I cannot imagine this person has the ability to manage the entire site, which she seemed to be tasked with.

We are extremely upset they you gave us the bare minimum of miles for this transaction (from one resident to the other resident in Kentucky was 58 miles and that's not including the miles from residents to U-Haul, which was over 14 miles) and then had the nerve to charge us for the extra miles it took us to return the truck to a U-Haul after getting an extra quart of a tank of gas from us - ~$35-$40!!! We have used for 2 long trips across country in the past that equaled thousands of dollars - may not use you again after this disgusting transaction of gouging us on the miles.

This was a very negative experience starting from the moment I clicked reserve on the website. I had to cancel the first reservation because it changed my pick up location to Hamilton without me knowing it. Then the Oxford location did not have the truck I reserved when I called to confirm two days in advance. Then the truck did not have the equipment (dolly, furniture dolly, furniture blankets) I rented when I opened the back of the truck and the store was closed that day so there was no help. Then the ramp was broken but we were able to make it work. Then when I returned the truck, the online app did not work and I got stuck in a loop to take a picture of the gas gauge and mileage. Everyone I spoke to throughout the day was helpful and refunded me the missing equipment or helped get me checked back in, but I would have paid anything to have the equipment I originally reserved. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.

When we picked up the van, the gas tank was only 3/4 full, yet we did not notice that until we had already left the facility. Then when we turned in the van, we were incorrectly billed for many more miles used than we actually used. Very Disappointing uhaul rental overall.

They had me drop my trailer off and didnt give me any receipt. They then charged me for a 2nd day. Just real bad business. Would have left me standing all day if I hadn't initiated conversation. Just acted busy the whole time I was standing there but only had one customer who was on his own phone. Wasted my time and money. AVOID THIS BUSINESS

The gas was lower than the employee marked on the paper, so I took a picture when I did the inspection and hope I don't get charged for that. There was also dirt in the back of the truck and muddy footprints in the front of the truck, but otherwise it was great.

The truck I rented smelled like someone had been smoking in it. I also had to slam the driver's side door, otherwise I would see a message that the door was not closed. Finally, the ride was very rough, I felt every little bump. I've driven U-hauls before and this was a really rough ride compared to others.

We could not get the locator system to work and this was very stressful. Called home office and they told us we had to get it to work or I would be charged 20 the nest day if they had to check it in. I did contact uhaul Oxford office and they were really helpful and checked it in without charging me.

When we got our paperwork, they had the mileage out at 32101.00. As my husband was in the truck, and I had the paperwork in a separate vehicle, we did not verify the mileage out. We put approximately 6 miles on the vehicle during the 2 hours we had it out. When we checked the vehicle back in, the odometer stated 32147. We were subsequently charged for 46 miles when I got my online receipt. It's obvious the mileage was wrong from the beginning. Obviously it should be buyer beware and we should have verified the mileage before we even left the parking lot. We were charged for 40 miles ($31.60) we did not drive.

The customer service person (a young woman) was awesome and helpful. The app was a disaster. I did all the steps to share my location and it never recognized that I was doing so. I couldn't complete the check-out or check-in process on my phone. It went into an infinite loop of cannot-see-your-location and try-again. I teach computer science for a living and I couldn't get it to work. If I had been relying on picking up the truck when the office was closed, I would have been out of luck. PLEASE FIX THE APP.
