This location is dishonest, fraudulent and not trust worthy. They make u-haul look shady, deceitful and scammy. I didn't originally pick this location SOLELY based on the terrible terrible google reviews. The system automatically re-routed me to this location, so I hesitantly obliged. Turns out on dropping off the van, which was CLEAN (photo to prove it), the location lied and said that the van was full of sand and debris. This is disappointing and I have not yet received my refund for the cleaning fee.

The lady who helped me could not have been nicer and accommodating. I was late with the truck and she was understanding and kind.
Craig MIt is a well-located place to pick up the truck. It was odd at the beginning (one does not expect to pick up a truck from a smoke shop), but (again) the location was great, and the lady at the counter was super nice. Although the drop-off was after hours, it was very convenient because of the app drop-off option. All good.
Saul ACar pickup spot was unreasonably tight. Lots of instructions that were not clear and conflicted at times and slower check in process.
Adam SWhen I made the reservation I wrote that I was going to use the minivan for 20kms and this is exactly the distance I drove. Somehow the U-haul representative changed that distance at 150kms without questioning me at all. Then U-haul charged me for the usage of 150kms. Now I have to wait to get my money for that dishonest extra charge of about $120, or even worse, to step up with a complain at my credit company or small claims in the Court of Justice if the U-haul does not give me my money back!

Jesus JI went to pick up the cargo van and Korean lady wasn't friendly and rude. She also didn't answer any of my questions just told me to read the online web. She doesn't speak English well and she's very old do it hard to understand her or she will just ignore what I said. The cargo van was really dirty in the exterior with mud everywhere. Then when I returned the van she charge me $25 for cleaning fee. I never got the van dirty. Im very disappointed with uhaul service from this location. I feel they make up stuff to charge extra. Very bad experience and I will never recommend this location to anyone.

Chris M10/10 for location experience 0/10 for UHaul experience. My experience dealing with the UHaul location was great. The woman who I worked with was lovely, kind and easy to interact with. However I'm very upset with UHaul. I was supposed to rent a UHaul from a location around the corner from me, beginning at 11:30 am for 6 hours (finishing around 7:30 pm). The entire move was supposed to happen in the afternoon. The morning of I got switched to a location further away (I.e more kms). I thought it was sketchy so I moved my day around to go in early. When I arrived at 10am, I was told that UHaul had double booked my van and I would be charged $100 if I didn't return the van by 4:30. Considering I wasn't planning on starting to move until noon, this forced me to change my plans. I was luckily able to move some things around, however my helper was not and I was forced to move alone. UHaul just changed my reservation and didn't tell me and almost ruined the entire moving day!!! I'm very upset with UHaul! Would not recommend in the future!

Pearl SVehicle wasn't cleaned. Got mistakenly charged a cleaning fee and another fee hidden in it. They said a fee for not returning it correctly. I returned the vehicle and had errors with your online system. I tried multiple times and kept getting same error. I then left the keys with security attendant as I was told to if I had issues. I should not be charged fees for your system not working. They also shouldn't be hidden in cleaning fees. Also, when I pick up the vehicle the truck shouldn't have a bunch of soda cans strung out.
Isaac PPoor communication from the rep. Though I had checked in ahead of time, apparently the system didn't upload the images of my drivers license properly and when my phone had internet issues, the rep lacked tech support or even basic office equipment to scan or copy my drivers license. This resulted in an extra 10-15min of dilly dally before I got the keys - then they threatened to charge me an extra $100 if I wasnt back by the end of my reservation. I have no plan to rent again from this location. The van itself was fine, well used and no shocks (tons of bounce and sway), but served the purpose.

She mentioned I was the one that with problem to communicate, but she didn't even answer my questions. Other than that, the car is good. If you delivery after closed hours is bad because the parking lot there is no signal for internet.

rachel rI arrived on time at 2 pm to pick up the keys and the person who was coordinating the rental was perfunctory but slow. The counter was not conducive to efficiently manage the transaction as at one point my drivers license slid through a slight opening under the heavy duty mat containing the scratch lotto tickets. it took almost 10 mins to get my license back. Then when I arrived where the van was parked (spot 268) it was wedged close to a concrete pillar and a car. There was a direct wall behind the van which was not ideal. thankfully a maintenance person assisted me to navigate out of the spot. Upon returning the van, i mentioned this to the woman who scoffed at me, stating no one else before me had issues. But not everyone before me parked in the same spot. Then she compared the photo of the mileage i took at the start of the rental to the photo when i returned and began to become belligerent. it was 30492 before and 30498 after but she mistakenly saw them as 30498 and scoffed at me. In the end, the whole experience was tiresome, insulting and unacceptable. I do not recommend this location

Joseph RThe entire experience was annoying. There was no app check-in. I ultimately had to go into the office. The app asked me upload my license but would not accept my paper one since I just moved here. When I returned the vehicle there were NO PARKING SPOTS in P2 as directed. ZERO SPOTS. When I went to look for more parking in P2 I found not access it because my van was too tall. So I tried to park in wheelchair but was told I could not when I called in about it. But was given no other alternative. So I drove around for about 10 minutes in the tiny lot and my dad had to argue for a spot as we were desperate. Total shit show. There should be a reserved spot. That was SO STRESSFUL and annoying on moving day which is already stressful. This is the second time where it felt hugely annoying. As Uhaul promises big but does not deliver. I ordered 2 boxes for delivery and they did not. And my movers had to haul ass to the actual site on moving day and total ridiculous mayhem ensued from there. Really terrible service all around.

Anthony KThis was a good experience. I read the reviews about the location and was put off, but did it anyway and definitely want to share my experience as it was pleasant. Reviews said: 1.) Language Barrier - While this does exist, the lady at the front made a great effort to explain everything in detail and had a few sheets of paper, a tablet and pictures to assist the explanation to make up for any gaps. I believe that it was pretty clear by the end of things. She made an effort to also call me since the van had been dropped off earlier to ensure I maximized my time with the van. 2.) The parking being too short - yes, while it does look a little too close for comfort, the top of the van didnt look scratched and we didnt damage it either. I believe that they've done a good job ensuring the right height is maintained. 3.) Check In/Out Experience - one con about the location is that we struggled to find network in P2 (as listed in some of the reviews). There was no damage and we did take pictures before starting of the condition of the van. We drove it up to P1 and Ibefore exiting the garage) completed the check in there. 4.) Cleanliness - received a relatively clean vehicle so can't comment there. 5.) Extra charges - charged a dollar more than what was estimated at the end of the trip. I did wipe down the back for the next customer (but there is also a sign on the back which says that if it is left dirty, you will charged $25). So a quick wipe down sufficed for me. Overall a couple of gaps to fix, but my experience wasn't as bad as the reviews made it out to be.

Tayler JThe billing is a complete scam. U-Haul need to do quality control of the location managers who provide the truck. I took a truck with a total fuel capacity of 117 litres to do a quick transit of couple of furniture items between two apartments in Downtown Vancouver. At the start of the transit the odometer reading says KM out as 11990 KM, and at the end of the transit the odometer reading showed says KM in as 11994 KM. So, my overall usage of the truck is 4 KM (11994-11990 KM = 4 KM). Now, let's get into the billing details. The fuel check in during the time I was told to sign the contract is indicated as 13/16 of the total fuel tank. And this contract was told to sign before I was given the truck which is parked in the P2 of the building where I have to collect it. I did my due diligence and captured the pictures of the fuel tank indicator and odometer, pictures of the entire truck. I finished my furniture move (quick 4 km), captured the same round of pictures and returned the truck. Now, I received my final invoice and it's written there that the fuel indicator is 3/4 of the total truck. By doing the quick math, the total fuel consumption of my transit, according to the bill, (13/16 - 3/4)*117 L = (1/16)*117 L = 7.3 L. So, according to the bill, my total fuel consumption is 7.6 L for 4 KM. This logically doesn't make sense. Correlating this data with the pictures I captured of the fuel tank indicator pictures before and after my travel didn't change a lot. I would like to bring this to the notice of the customer service so that the billing will be corrected and I will get reimbursed from the wrongful billing.

Rafael DThe blankets I paid to have, were filthy. As someone who is allergic to dander and dust, I was not impressed when I opened the garbage bag to find blankets that covered my clothing in filth. The photos of the truck showed it in pristine condition, when in fact, the roof is scratched and rusted beyond belief. The representative needs to work on her customer service and is more worried about her "getting off work at 7pm" rather than listen to a customer's complaints and concerns. As someone who has worked in customer service for 16 years, this is a complete and utter joke. I have photos of the damaged vehicle and a recording of the representative being less than smart or informative. Probably my worst rental experience, ever. Should've just listened to the reviews online pertaining to this specific location . I'd give zero stars if I could.
SEBASTIAN QThe lady at the counter is extremely rude. When trying to get my rental, she constantly stopped what she was doing with me to check out her mini mart customers. Then, when her instructions were on a crumpled piece of paper on how to return the rental (which had wrong directions) I called to clarify and she laughed at me and hung up. When I figured it out on my own, she tried to grab my phone to get the dashboard pictures. This lady is very strange and really made the whole process overly complicated and unpleasant.

ALTDUS FThe van is parked in a garage that is below the height limit at the entrance. While some sections of the lower parking floors are above the height limit, the entrance is not. It's possible to get the van into the garage, but one wrong turn involves backing up in a very narrow garage to avoid entering an area below the height limit. This parking garage should not be used to store these vans.

I understand there are blankets for sale to cover the floor, but I didn't anticipate needing them. I'm sure the next person would appreciate if the inside was hosed down so that their belongings wouldn't have to get as dirty. Otherwise the experience was perfect, thank you!
