Initiallly when my contract was e-mailed to me, it was sent to the wrong e-mail address. Had to call the person who took care of the rentals numerous times to straighten things out. The name on my rental contract showed up as my 2 year old son's name. When I contacted the person responsible for this locatiron who was and from what I've read on the reviews is never on-site on this location, he told me not to worry about it. I have no idea how my 2 year old son's name got in the system, I booked the trailer myself via my uHaul account on uhaul.com which has my name on it and no mention of my son's. Also, this is the first of about a dozen of uHaul trailer rentals, where the trailer had all kinds of debris in it when I was picking it up. I mentioned this when picking it up through the online check-in process. Before returning the trailer, I swept all of the debris that was in the trailer before I rented it, in attempt to avoid any cleaning charges. Needless to say, it does not appear that this trailer was checked for cleanliness before being made available for rent.Walden K.

The pick up was fine but the van was left without any windshield washer fluid. I hit the highway and quickly couldn't see because of the driving conditions and weather. I stopped at the first service station to fill up the fluid, but I couldn't see anything for awhile on a major highway and it was a big safety issue. The fluid should be checked or filled regularly by the dealer.SEANP M.

Have an actual U-Haul employee on site. There was no walk-thru, explanation or even a U-Haul office. Had I needed a trailer hitch, dolly or any extras there was nobody present to provide any assistance. The U-Haul truck pickup location was in an abandoned strip mall parking lot. The whole experience seemed very sketchy and unprofessional.Dion B.

We had a 9:00 am reservation and arrived at 8:55 a.m.. The doors for this location were locked and whoever is supposed to be working there did not answer the door or their phone when we and U-Haul staff tried to reach him. When we finally did reach him at 10:15 on his personal cell that a U-Hall rep gave us, he was rude and shouted at me and said he had been there since 8:00 a.m. which was a complete lie. He then took our credit card information OVER THE PHONE and refused to give us the code for the lockbox until we were sitting in front of the lock box. We had driven to another U-Haul in Orillia after waiting an hour for the employee to arrive had to rush back and finally we got the key at 10:40 a.m.. The employee / owner was unapologetic and rude and claimed he didn't have to go in and we were supposed to register online. We explained the system wasn't working and we were only able to send our drivers licence but the online sign in was rejecting our password. We explained he should have been on site in the office in case this happened and sitting at home was not an option. The truck had a foot of snow on it and we had to clean it off and warm it up for 5 minutes before we could pull out!! We were very late for where we had to be with the truck and this ruined the flow of our entire day. We will never recommend U-Haul or use U-Haul again. That franchisee should have his privilege's taken away as he clearly thinks this is free money and all he has to do is sit at home and collect a U-Haul pay cheque. How embarrassing to U-Haul!ROBERT R.
Again....signage from where the GPS takes you does not really show you where the location is at. You pull into a big parking lot and it too is tucked in the back...not easily visible but once you look around a bit you can find it, but only if there are no other U-Haul trailers visible then it would be harder to locate..Jim L.

I had arranged to pick up the trailer at 11:00 a.m. on October 30. When I got to 10 Western Ave in Orillia, no one was there. I didn't have a phone number for the facility but luckily, another customer was there and gave me a local phone number. (She was very unhappy because they were attempting to charge her too much for her rental.) I phoned the number she gave me and had to leave a message. Someone called me back in ten minutes and explained that everything was being done online due to covid. He was very hard to understand and it took a long time. He asked me to send a photo of my driver's licence but it didn't work so eventually I gave him the number over the phone. I also had to give him my credit card info which I did (but didn't feel comfortable doing as I didn't know who this person was and I had already provided that info when I made the reservation online). This all took about half an hour which made me late. I returned the trailer later that day but again no one was around. The next morning, I went back to ensure that my return was noted before the required time of 9:00 a.m. I used my phone to go through the return process but the pictures I took wouldn't upload onto your website. I called the 800 number and after about 40 minutes, a woman answered and walked me through the process. She sent me an email so that I could reply and include pictures of the trailer. Renting this trailer from U-Haul was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. The only bright spot was the help I received from your employee, Pasky Fort. The vehicle was dirty coffee spilt and no cleaning at all from previous renter. There were no keys at the pick up site and had to wait 1.5 hrsCARL O.
There was no-one on site, it took 3 cell calls to make contact with the dealer who was located in another city. I had to attach the trailer alone and if not an experienced trailer user would have been unable to complete the task. This location is in a strip mall that is totally vacant and the trailer(s) are just sitting unlocked in the parking lot. U-haul also moved my reservation 2 times and I would have preferred the second location in Coldwater that is staffed but the night before you moved it back to the Orillia site. The dealer was helpful once he called me but if I did not have a smartphone this rental would not have happened as I had to upload pictures and approve a form on-line. I would use U-haul again but would definitely use another locationGordon B.

The fellow in Orillia created us a lot of unnecessary stress. I would never want to deal with him again. The store was closed but was advertised open, he operated remotely and gave us unclear instructions that held us up. At times we felt we would not get the truck. Extremely stressful!!!! the truck was not clean, lack of communication and need number of calls to Uhaul, Uhaul keep on changing pickup locations, I need to drive 140Km from Brampton Ontario to Orillia Ontario to pick up the truck, then tow dolly was not ready at Orillia, so need to drive another 152 Km from Orillia Ontario to Oakville Ontario to pick tow dolly and utility dolly. Uhaul keep on changing your pickup locations even though I booked truck+tow dolly almost 1 month in advance.Muhammad K.

We originally booked in Barrie and when we called (thank goodness we did instead of just going there), the owner told us he didn't have anything or us and to call Uhaul and they would try and find a trailer for us - which we did. They redirected us to Orillia - an hour out of our way, just to find out it was the same owner as Barrie. CrazyDENISEJ C.

I was told by Customer Service that there was going to be someone there to assist us with our pickup. We had a 10am pickup time, and person didn't even show up. Only called us at 11:15 am said he was there. His there was at the Barrie store an hour away to give us the 6 x12 trailer or to instruct us how to hook up. Which we weren't shown anything. It took us almost 2 hours to figure out how to hook up the trailer properly. Finally, by 2pm we had the trailer hooked up and ready to go. This location has very BAD SERVICE. I will NEVER book a U Haul from here again. No one to help you or to even instruct you on how to hook up the trailer. We even had to cancel 2 people as extra help on the other end, but still had to pay them @ $10.00per hour at min of 2 hours. Because we had scheduled them for 12noon. We didn't arrive in Toronto until 4pm. NOT A Happy Person.COLINJ B.

If I had to rent another U Haul vehicle from this location I would walk first. Guy won"t answer phone, no office building, started truck before I checked levels.If it wasn"t for the fact that my son showed up and could do paper work on his phone I would have to have left it there. Over all terrible service. Best to avoid this location.Larry H.

The employee was late by like 30 minutes to give keys for the truck the agent I spoke with on the phone was very rude I was asked to remove the excess pads and equipment from the truck I was picking up if this was a first experience with uhaul I'm sure it would be the last oneTerry L.

I could never get in touch with them especially when I dropped it off. It was in a dark alley with people watching it. Looked like it might get stolen. It was filthy inside that we had to clean it before using it. When telling them, they never responded. I asked how I'm supposed to pay and he said he'd figure it out and get back to me and now I'm over charged because the operator is lying about the mileage. Absolutely will never recommend! Too bad they were the only one that had a vehicle that day.Rebecca L.
