The box truck I rented was horrible on gas, literally because of its rough run. Revs hard when on incline. Should be retired in my opinion. But I was really disappointed when I was charged nearly $900 for a week rental. I understood all the charges, but I was never made clear of the mileage charge when I picked up the truck. If I’d known, I would’ve limit my usage of truck knowing this is my first time using your company. N if I’d know I was getting a junk truck, I would’ve never used your company. Which I won’t ever use u again or refer u.

I was surprised to see a charge of $20 as a fee for returning the truck after hours. That was not made clear and I could have easily parked it down the road and drove it into the parking spot this AM. It feels like a junk fee and leaves a bad taste!

I was overcharged $220.40. When I called to disputed the charges, Louis from this location was rude and not helpful at all. He definitely needs additional customer service training. The over charge caused $70 in overdraft fees to my bank account. I should have never been charged the $220.40. My contract clearly stated “6 days with 5 extra days and 400 additional miles. I return the truck on the day it was due with less than 400 miles and more gas than it had on the pickup date. No additional charges should have been assesse to my account. I spoke with someone from the return location on September 23rd, they assured me that there would be no additional charges. Today, September 25th my bank account was charged an additional $220.40. This is unacceptable!

I got penalized for returning the rental early. I returned the vehicle when I was able to, otherwise I would have had to wait two days to return it. (So, a penalty either way?) I did not think that returning a rental to a closed office was a "convienent" thing, yet I was charged for this "convienence".

Orchard Express does not honor the free month storage and they confirm a reservation but when I got there to pay they did not have what I reserved available I had to scramble to find a different stora

I went to drop my U-Haul off in Tacoma. The location closed at five and when I arrived at 4:30 there was no one there and the location was closed. You charged me 40$ for gas and said that the gas was down to a 1/4 tank but I dropped it off with half a tank. The gentleman I spoke with over the phone was absolutely rude. I just moved and don’t have a lot of money. Rent is due on the first of the month and now, because you charged me 40$ when I returned the truck with more gas than is said, I will barely be able to afford to live. The worst part is I have no way to prove the tank was at a half because the personnel, who when I called and said they would be there, were not there.

Such a shame this facility doesnt provide the free one month storage. Then quit advertising it. You use the free one month storage line to scam the customer. Honeydick!

Facility is clean but roof not maintained. The unit has a leaking roof and my stored materials were damaged. I did report this and was told too bad and they accepted no responsibility.

My Reservation #99405249 was for 15' moving Van with appliance dolly. I was to pick-up van at 12:PM I received call for Orchard Express storage.Never received van from them, I had to go to Lakewood U-Haul location 6+miles down the road to get a different van without getting appliance dolly, to get the dolly I had to go back to Orchard express. Then on top of that they charged me for use of dolly. All this cost me much more money and time, but they did not offer any discount for all my extra time & miles I had to drive to pick-up different van. I would not use these U-Haul locations in the future. Just not trust worthy business people.

I was charged three times for one rental. I estimated 10 hours but used for 8 and was charged for over 24 hours of use causing problems with my bank account. Not happy. Will be the LAST time I use uhaul and will be sure others know about it as well.

Three dozen pads were reserved. But they weren’t in the truck when I did the express check out because they didn’t have them. Inconvienence. Then I missed the fill up by 1/16 of a gal and they charge me an extra $12.

The parking lot was not clearly marked and the employee did not answer the phone the times I called to ask about dropoff. There was only one beat up truck to rent. The check battery light kept flickering, there was no manual for the vehicle, and the key slot for the ignition looks like it’s about to fall off. F.

I made reservation to p/u 17' truck @ Uhaul, on Earnest Brazill st, Tacoma. When i showed up t get it (after waiting in line), the kid tells me the truck "hasn't been assigned" and that they didn't have one. I told him I HAVE reservation #, and have people waiting at my house t help me move, NO one called me t say there was issue and that "I" would have t call some main # and figure it out. He refused to help me as "there are other customers". What?!?! I AM a customer, who had waited/spent time making the arrangements, then spent more time in line that morning too. He had the nerve t tell me he'd have t ask me t leave since I was getting upset. I said YOU are the Uhaul representative n my reservation is screwed up so YOU get t deal w/unhappy customer (while I did raise my voice theres was no yelling or swearing so this was totally unacceptable!!). After going outside and spending even more time on hold then w/person who finally helped me...they found truck on Orchard St (after first wanting me t drive t one of 2 locations that did have truck - both of which would have been at least additional half hours drive (plus I would have been charged for all the extra mileage n have t replace gas). Once i got t Orchard st. We got truck n all was fine.

This was the easiest and quickest truck pickup and drop off I've experienced with Uhaul. Staff was helpful and there was the option to leave my car parked there (Sat. during the day) but spaces are very limited.
