Frist, These people can not speak English or enough to understand the customer. 2nd I came in 3 hours before pickup time to make sure they had everything and that the truck would be ready. They guaranteed me that everything was ready. When I get there to check in, they had me do all my paperwork on my phone, when I finished he goes to get my packing blankets and he was out. So the trip there before was just a lie that everything was ready. When I asked why he told me that he had everything, he would just look at me and say "Me, can't help Sorry ". I asked for my copies of the contract he would only say "done ,no need for paperwork, will email". I asked him to come out, do a walk around and document the damage on the truck and he would not do that with me. When I asked him about why the check engine light was on, he said "only needs oil changed". This guy would not get off his phone to help me or to try to even make things right by finding me blankets at a other location. I had to stop by harbor fright to buy moving blankets. I have rented many times in my life from Uhaul and This is far the worst experience that I have ever had, I am so surprised that Uhaul would let such a place be a rental location. I got over charged. I rented a trailer for 24 hours. Returned it early. Got charged for 3 days. I went to store at doe run road in rocky mount Virginia, and the lady was very rude and had zero interest in resolving my overcharge. I did manage to get a contact number and the lady i spoke to on the phone seemed helpful. I am sill waiting to see the results whether they are gonna return the $108 that i was overcharged back into my bank account. I have rented numerous uhauls over the years, this is the first time I've had a problem. It will be the last time I use uhaul if my overcharge is not returned.

Need to make sure all lights are in working order. Let driver know that if hook up blows a fuse ( any of the lights), all they have to do is put next higher gauge fuse in.

I was overcharged at time of receiving trailer and money has never been credited. I was told it would be done immediately. I feel it was a scam. I received no help taking trailer off vehicle when bringing it back. I will not rent from this location again. Never had this kind of trouble with uhaul anywhere.

Yes, the trailer I needed was there, but I had to drive 120 miles round trip to pick up the trailer --- and then, hook it up myself, without assistance! All of this because the Christiansburg U-Haul facility is closed on Sunday. If I had only known! Despite reserving the trailer months in advance without any indication that it would be impossible for me to pick up a trailer on Sunday, I was not informed about the complicaiton until the evening before the sheduled pickup. This is a systemic problem in U-Haul management and not really the fault of One Stop Shop #2. The lession to be learned? Call the facility way ahead of time to make sure that someone will be at the location that you are expecting to pick up the trailer. Otherwise, you may spend most of your moving day getting the trailer and making an extra stop at the gas station.

This was not our requested p/u location. Uhaul moved us to this location the day before p/u. Reservation was made well in advance(3/8) and feel Uhaul should have been able to accommodate our initial p/u location. NOT THIS LOCATION'S ISSUE! Service here was good, easy!

Interior of truck was dirty..food, popcorn, and sticky liquids in the cup holders. Windshields needed cleaning badly. I took care of cleaning the windows and interior prior to starting our trip. Interior of truck/bed was dirty and had some trash on floor. Transmission light came on as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot and stayed on the entire trip.

The employee was not helpful, told us we would receive an email confirmation for the return. This was on Saturday morning. We did not, so called twice, no answer, went back to the location, the employee said we had to wait until 3:00 for the owner to arrive. Employee was condescending. Did not get the return confirmation until Sunday.

We rented from Vinton and went 40 miles total. We had 30 included in our rental price so i expected to pay $4, but the guy said we didn't owe anything. Fast fwd 2 days and I get charged $40, they tried stating we went 74 miles over (104 all together). Ridiculous!!!! Ran by a bunch of theifs. Thankfully cust service is providing a refund but this place should be shut down or re trained.

Trailer was dirty inside. Had alot of small broke off rubber etc. Right rear wheel bearing was loose and the guy at the store did not tighten it to my hitch ball all the way. It was slamming front to back so I had to pull over and tighten it up on the highway due to almost loosing the trailer.

I was charged for fuel even though I returned the truck with more fuel in it than it had when I picked it up!!! The app wouldn't allow me to submit photo on pick up but I have the photo and emailed it to UHUAL, have yet to be contacted.

Make sure the equipment is inside the truck. The store I went to made me purchase online instead of at the counter. Checked me out and mentioned nothing about the dolly I purchased being inside the store. Guess I should have checked before hand.

YEs, only because there are very few options in the Rocky Mt. ,VA area. The staff person at the convenience store was courteous and helpful, but was the only person working--handling the store and the rental. Also the cab floor was muddy, the bed was covered with wood chips, and the gas guage did not match the photo. I mistakenly did not challenge the gas level and ended up returning the truck with more gas than it had when I picked it but but had to pay an additional $ to bring it up the the level in the picture.

I reserved a truck at another location 3 weeks prior when I arrived it wasn't there and the staff did nothing to help. I called customer service at UHaul and was on hold for 32 mins without any answer and still can't get anyone , guess saying . I went to this location and they were GREAT ! Had a truck in and out quickly. If it wasn't for them I would not have been able to move.

Extremely rude owner. Worker not trained to do anything related to u haul. Had to wait till owner came to hook up trailer. He hooked the trailer up while talking to a friend and just waved us off. No instructions or advice or anything. Arrived at destination in fredericksburg where the uhaul people were exactly the opposite very professional. The ball on my trailer hitch had not been checked and the nut was almost off. Maybe a half thread left before it would have fallen off. The person in rocky mount checked nothing....which could have resulted in a bad accident or death.

The gentleman that was in charge of taking the U-Haul return was very polite and efficient. But, the return location (unbeknownst to me) is not in a good area at all. It would be great if there was some way to be notified of these sort of things.

It is a local provider, they are doing the U-Haul thing as a side job and could care less about the customer. I got what I expected from the drop off location. I have use this facility before and I was not satisfied then and they did not do anything better with a drop off than they did with a pick up. I returned the truck at 12:00PM (noon) and on the receipt it said 5:00 PM (or something much later than I dropped off the truck and key).

The return store of where we dropped off the Uhaul was One Stop Shop #2 445 Doe Run Rd. Rocky Mount, VA 24151 540-352-4043 We dropped off there on Sunday because that was the only day my husband was off work. And it was right around the corner of where his office is. We had another trailer of our own to take to his office and leave. So we dropped off the uhaul trailer first then our trailer to his office. I'm currently disputing charges for late return. We actually returned the Uhaul trailer a day early. As I walked into the store, the gentlemen was in the floor counting money. I explained that we had a trailer to return and he asked me to wait a minute to finish counting. Finally when he finished he came to the door looked out and saw the trailer had been dropped and said ok. He never came out to look at it for a return inspection and just waived me on, and did ok. He also was not wearing a mask.

Gentlemen was more interested in some if the women patrons in the store than checking in my truck. Just wanted the keys and never wanted to check the truck or discuss my problems. Just walked away from me when I set the keys on the counter. And he was not wearing a mask.

When I returned the rental, no one bothered to check it in as returned even tho I told the person on duty that I was returning the trailer. I was also overcharged an extra day on my rental and had to call Uhaul twice to rectify this. I was on hold to Uhaul on my first call for 30 minutes before a rep answered. The second call was a little better, only 20 minutes, and I was able to get the overcharge reversed. Overall, this experience left a lot to be desired.

We were instructed to call before returning. We tried calling for 2 hours. We finally just drove to the location and dropped the trailer off. We went into the store to let the staff know that we had returned it and they said "okay." I asked them if they wanted the number off the trailer to note the return or if they wanted to inspect the trailer for damages and they said "why". So we took photos of the equipment as we left it on the lot in case there were issues claimed later. The "owner" was on the phone while he sat on a stool playing a video poker machine and was too busy to take calls or check the equipment. Would never select this location to rent or return equipment again. In fact, we passed another rental spot while on our way to this facility - it was not even presented as an option to us as a drop off location and was less than 3 miles from us. We traveled 18 miles to get to the place we dropped off. Why would that happen ever? Shouldn't we be given the option to use the closer location?

My pick up time was 12 noon and I reserved a 26-foot truck (which was on the lot). I call the phone that is on the confirmation email from uhaul.com for the One Stop Shop #2 with no answer (I called the number 20 times through out the day on May 14th). I got to the One Stop Shop #2 at 12 noon and did leave there until 1:10 PM with the incorrect size truck. First the person at the location did not know how to enter the information into the computer do he call he relative (someome that also works at the One Stop Shop#2). The second person gets there and has to call a third person on the phone. The person on the phone states " I don't know why they (Uhaul.com) would send her there to pick up a 26 ft truck. We can't use that trick, we never use that truck. We can't put the number of the truck in the computer. She can go 20 minutes dowm the road to Union Hall and get a 26 ft truck or take a 20 ft at a discounted rate.") At this time I had been waiting an hour so t took rhe 20 ft truck from the One Stop Shop #2. The person give me the key and tells me that the truck number on the key is the one I take, so I had to go find the truck myself. The truck had someone's clothes in it and paper which I had to clean out. I also rented a 6Ã-12 (I got an up grade from a 5Ã-8 because the One Stop Shop #2 did not have them) which again took the person at the One Stop Shop #2 30 minutes to put information in the computer. This poor little dude coyld not or did not know how to hook up the lights into my truck outlet so I HAD TO DO IT MYSELF. I will NOT recommend the ONE STOP SHOP #2 to anyone to rent a Uhaul from. However I pick up my car transport from Tiger Rental and the were the best. They jooked it up to the 20 ft truck and then went around the transport and and explained and demo the teacher saying equipment as well as explaining the overdrive and everything.

Truck had trash and dirty cloths in the driver cab. The dail lock was stuck on the uhaul and the attendant didn't know what to do. I managed to force it open with a car key and damaged my key.
