Worst pick experience ever. The guy who runs OG Auto repair in Indio as a representative for Uhaul should be fired ASAP. Telling me to shut up and give him space when I'm over 75ft away from him. Was not even there when we arrived nor was all.of the equipment. Very threatening and unnecessary. The rep I called from uhaul even heard him in the background being confrontational without even being provoked ever!!! Fire that man showed up in a dodgers shrt for gosh sakes!!!!Kellen B.
Rented the truck for 2 days, I was finished with the uhual on Friday and decided to drop it off. But the man told me to just drop it off and he will email me the receipt. But Saturday I received a call from uhual. Asking for the return of the truck before I get charged I told the lady it was dropped off Friday. And now Sunday comes around I was billed for today. Horrible service, anyone can just come and return the truck at this spot.Michael H.

I was charged for not filling up the unit before turning it in, but I did have it as full as I received it. The employee called me and stated that I returned it empty, and when I explained that I had put a 1/4 tank in and that maybe the gauge was broken, he argued with me and then hung up on me and then went ahead and charged me $50.00 for gas and a $30.00 gas service fee. The unit kept dying and we kept having to jump start it, and I had to buy jumper cables in order to be able to use the unit and the employee wasn't even at the drop off location when I went to drop it off, he was late and had me give the key to a different person at the location. Luckily, I called customer service to complain about the erroneous charges and they made it right, but I was highly disappointed in my experience in the end.Curtis H.

Very Rude... didn't speak to us and did not help my husband unhook the UHaul. My husband is 71 and not well. It was a very unsatisfactory experience. Plus, the location doesn't seem safe for just dropping off a rental.Garry W.

The trailer didn't have safety chains...The owner said "you don't need them...it's fine". He didn't have a hitch receiver and ball or an electrical plug to complete my hook-up. He said he was an auto repair shop...didn't stock that "stuff"... and didn't do much U-Haul. Sent me to the local auto parts store to purchase what I needed. Returned with the electrical plug/hook-up and he complained that he "didn't do electrical". He grudgingly assembled the electrical connections. I bought my own safety chain and hooked it up myself. The operation is dark...dank...dirty and dreary. This guy should not be a U-Haul dealer. Obviously, U-Haul has not inspected the operation in quite sometime...maybe never inspected the operation. I wish there was a U-Haul competitor the next time I need to rent a trailer.Larry L.
This has been the worst experience EVER!!!! First i was unable to pick up the truck at 7:15 per my rental agreement because the company didn't have the correct key lock code. After calling uhual I got told I would be getting a $50 credit for not having the rental as promised. I get told I had to come back when the shop opened at 9:30am. I go and pick up the truck and the gentleman says he got the code wrong and gives me the keys. I found it odd that he didnt get the fuel or mileage so I took a picture. The mileage was 72186.4 and the gas was just over 1/4 of a tank. At 2:40 i get a call from uhual and a lady asks if I picked up the uhual. I said yes and she claims it wasnt in her system. I get a notification that uhual has now put TWO holds on my account of over $51 and NO credit of the $50. I go to drop off the uhual and the guy tells me I have to do it online. So I do it and it tries telling me that the mileage was like almost 20 miles used and the tank was at 1/2 a tank not 1/4!!!! I refuse to do it online and call uhual. The lady tells me I have to check the vehicle in before she can help me! I told the employee i am not paying anything so he does his own check out. He said he deosnt keep track of the miles even if his employees use it, thats why you are supposed to check the mileage when he get the vehicle. I showed him the picture and he has no idea where the miles came from before i got the vehicle or where the gas went prior to me getting the truck. I did a claim with a uhual employee and I am currently waiting for all my money back! i was gonna have to rent another truck next monday, i dont think I will ever rent this again!Nina M.
Pickup location was 20 miles from where I requested but was directed there by Christina the area manager. Although the truck had low mileage the tank was empty, windows were very dirty and the pickup location was a burned out gas station and all documents had to be hand written, including my card number, because Uhaul web site was down. This all cost me half a day and I was not happy.Patrick C.
We ordered the truck to be picked up from the UHaul store in Indio, closer to our house. A guy called us to talk to us about our reservation but never said he was calling from Coachella. Indio refuses to fulfill our order making us drive further, to the poorest part of the valley, Coachella to pick up our truck in this shady shack of a shop. It was very unprofessional and an eyesore. I would never recommend anyone pick up a truck from this shop.Stephanie L.
