The place had their door locked and we have to find someone for help who was coming out the back of shop. The truck was dirty cover in mud.. there where mud all over the inside in front and back of truck and the inside smell badly. The tow person left me to figure out everything. *******AVOID THIS LOCATION*****Absolutely a nightmare dealing with this location. They had to switch my originally chosen pick up drop off at the last minute due to unavailability and upon doing online check in to get the keys the dealer wasn't even there and couldn't be reached on the phone. Don't by attendant I'd have to come back at one when he gets there. I scheduled for a 10 am-10 pm rental with movers arriving at 12 to help me load and unload. After having to leave truckless I had to sit on hold with uhaul for them to contact the actual owner of the establishment, not the manager who is the uhaul distributor because he wouldn't answer the phone even from uhaul. The owner said their was an extra set of keys at the station. So I had to hurry and drive all the way back to get the spare keys and barely made it in time for the movers. That was just the beginning. Went to return my truck actually 4 hours before my return time, tried to do the online drop off, waited for the again missing manager to come check out the vehicle and mileage and to get the keys. Nothing. I called the store, no answer, no drop box, no clerk. Being that it was a spare key I put the keys in the glove box and continued throughout the night call the station, do the online drop off. Nothing After multiple phone calls to uhaul, a confrontation between my father with the manager being extremely rude in person because no one answers the phone at the location, and customer service calls my rental remained open for 4 days. He refused to end my rental because the keys weren't in his hand. After he was reported to the regional uhaul and camera has me on there returning the vehicle way before close and before my deadline he finally closed out my rental with the correct payment hours. Save yourself the anxiety and the possibility of getting fraudulent charges. It's a recipe for disaster!WHITNEY H.

I went on line a month before to make the reservation. I was called a day early to come pick up the truck the AC didn't work. The very nice guy, Maddox, was great. He made a call and let me know there were no other trucks available in that size so I had to take the tuck with no ac to another location. Again the new location was nice. Got the truck, was given an extra 20 miles. Had to come back next day to same location to get car hauler. Was given different drop off location for car hauler and told to change it for the same place as the truck I would have to call scheduler. While on the road going from SC to CT I called 3 times. Waited 1hour plus on phone. Person that answered not much help, they could not figure out how to transfer me. Called back another 50+ Minutes. Was finally transferred and drop off location corrected. When I dropped off trailer, no problem. When I dropped off truck with 1/4 tank of gas as per my contract, I got a call about 30 min after dropping it off and was told I didn't fill the tank. They said the â€œnewâ€ truck I picked up had a full tank of gas and I had to fil it up or pay 150.00 fee. I said my contract only shows 1/4 tank needed. I called uhaul 55 minutes later call back and the person said, well that was your original contract and we didn't print you a new one for the second truck and it had a full tank. So sorry but if you want to avoid the fee you will have to go back to uhaul get the truck and fill it up. They said next time you are in SC area, we will give you an extra day on your rental. Thanks but no thanks. Why not just comp a little of the nearly 1000.00 I spent on your truck and trailer?Steven P.

my first time renting a u-haul was stressful.The time waiting on the phone for someone to pick up ,after that they put you on hold,and you just might get cut off.then you call back the same thing all over again. they tell you your rental is one place the next thing you know it maybe in a different location.uhaul That I rented was a good driving truck.Lavern Y.

Person taking our rental equipment searched by my last name not by the contract number. Apparently he couldn't find the contract for the auto transport. It took more than an hour for the rep and for us to call U-Haul to refresh the contract and get us confirmation of received auto transport.John P.

The attendant at the pick-up location was very helpful. Our reserved vehicle was not available for pick-up, so he got on the phone with customer service and helped us get another truck. The truck was mostly clean, but there was a half-eaten brownie left in it from the previous user. There was only 3/4 of a tank of gas, when my understanding was that users are expected to fill the tank at drop-off. Overall, there was nothing wrong with the location, but rather the user who checked out improperly and the user who did not drop off the vehicle we originally reserved. As a result, the moving pads we had reserved were not available and while we did receive a refund the change impacted our travel plans.Nikolai W.

I feel if u haul is advertising with their equipments then there should be a u haul personnel present. Not the gas station counterperson having to call someone on the telephone. No one should have to discuss Buisness in a crowded store. Having to give ones credit card information a cross the telephone in that environment. That is not the way to conduct buisness.Stanley W.

Lots of comments about the clerk at the counter handling both store business and checkout of the vehicle but used the on-line reservation process and was out the door in Less than 15 minutes. Great service. Cab had not been swept out but box was clean.Michael H.
We had to unload and load the trailer without any assistance. We have damage from the trailer to our truck because it rolled forward. No one assisted us and there were no cement blocks handy. It was a terrible experience. The convenience store attendant took our information on the back of a cigarette package (I have documentation) and had no information regarding the U-Haul. He had to call someone and put them on the phone with us rather than handle the situation himself.karla J.

The paperwork took a long time because the representative was the only cashier working at the gas station. She was friendly and patient but she was burdened with checking out the other customer's purchases at the register and entering my info into the computer. I rented a 6/12 trailer for thee days, Picked up Friday 4/17/20 to Sunday 4/19/20. I returned the unit Saturday 4/18/20 and I am still being charged for the full three day rental. I will never use Uhaul again.Shane M.
This location was great. However, there was a very inconvenient problem with Uhaul themselves and their reservation system. Our truck was not available at our original location and we were not notified until only minutes before arriving to pick it up. The time lost and mileage to the new location wasn't a consideration to Uhaul corporation at all.Richard V.

I called and checked the web to see if location was "open", which it was. I was told that the person was new and had to call someone to take care of things. I dropped off my U-Haul 3 hours before I had to. Two days later they said that I hadn't returned it. They charged me for another two days. I had to call and argue with the U-Haul company to get my money back. Once they finally realized I did nothing wrong and it was an error on their part they told me it would take three to five business days to get my money back. Do not use this location.George S.
Confirmed pick up location was closed. Called U-Haul 800 number and was directed to another location. Guy had no idea what he was doing. It took an hour to finally get the trailer rented and he said he did not know how to hook up a trailer so I was left to figure it out for myself. Very unsatisfied with the pick up process.James F.

The location had no moving blankets available upon arrival. I had to spend 140 dollars to purchase moving blankets from Home Depot. The receptionist was great, she just didn't have the resources to fulfill the order.will K.

This was not the original location that I was going to pick up my truck. At 2:45pm Jam Pac called and said the previous rental person had not brought the truck back yet. They sent to On the Run to pick up a truck.We got there at 3pm.The girl behinde the counter was great BUT she was all by herself to run 3 stores,( the convenience store, the liquor store and U-haul customers). We did not leave that location till 4:25pm because she could not handle all 3 businesses. We just stood there and waited and waited and waited. This was not at all the cashiers fault. There should always be 2 people there if they want to continue to operate 3 different businesses at the same time.Not Satisfied at all.Claude D.
The person at check out did not know how to hook up or check out the trailer. She was the only person working so it took 30+ minutes to check out the trailer. Trailer ended up having a leak and cord connecting lights to truck did not work so we had to get a different one.Carley B.
The rental process took about an hour. The clerk at the store wasn't trained on uhauls, so she had to call someone. After waiting to speak to this person for ~15 minutes, I gave him all of my information over the phone (same info I had given the uhaul rep when I reserved the trailer, then when we were hooking up the trailer, a 3rd person showed up and I had to give him the same information again. One hour total time - I rented here as it was convenient to my house, but won't rent here again.janet N.

Trailers parked in a low grassy area that was wet and swamped. Attendant did not help hook up the trailer or give any instructions on how to hook it up. I had to construct a jack out of milk crates so I could hook up the trailer to my vehicle. Horrible experience. Nearly hurt myself lifting the trailer by myself.Charles R.

I had to wait for over an hour to pick up the trailer I had reserved online. The attendant was running a gas station, a liquor store, and a U-Haul location single-handedly. The attendant, while pleasant did not know how to use the laptop and/or the U-haul was not working properly. Finally, she just gave up and said "go ahead and take the trailer and promise to drop it back here tonight". i will never rent from this location again. There are plenty of locations in Lexington, SC, perhaps On the Run should not be a U-haul location. On the Run makes U-haul look bad.Edward K.
This is convinent store with one clerk working the counter and trying to check you in. The clerk didn't know what size ball or anything about the trailer. There was no one to help hooking up the trailer either I will never go back there again.Walter G.
At pick up there was only one person working the gas station and the rental. I was there 40 minutes waiting every time a customer came to the gas stations I have to wait.He wasn't able to come out to help me hook up a 6x12 trailer or to check the hitch connection. I had to ask someone for help and that was super Heavy and unsafe. Unfortunately there was a lady by herself at the gas station at drop off so had to unload the trailer from my truck by myself.
