The inside of the truck was dirty and had visible dirt/dried mud on the driver's side door. There were also dents that were not marked and the loading ramp was broken. We asked to rent the truck form Higginsville, Mo to Omaha but had to drive to Odessa, MO to get the truck. We were then charged for 28 extra miles, which is the round trip to Odessa. That's a rip off.

1. Make sure the store has a very common 4-pin to 7-spade adapter; this store did not and it took four calls over two days to determine if they did or not, and they did not. At the help of U-Haul 800 I was able to find adapters in Joplin, MO; luckily it was not too far out of my way to purchase the adapter there. 2. Nobody checked to see if I had the adapter and did not check to see if the trailer lights were working properly. 3. After hooking up the trailer myself (no big deal), I then had to remind them that I was supposed to get two dozen moving pads. The young man that brought them out to my tow vehicle was very helpful (maintained social distancing), but was the first person to poke their head out of the store. Coronavirus or no, someone should have checked, a) my vehicle, b) the hitch, and c) the trailer lighting. All this could have been done while maintaining social distancing. The store in Joplin where I bought the adapter (1410 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801), was extremely well setup for social distancing, and came out to my vehicle to make sure the selected adapter was the correct product and that my vehicle was compatible for the 5x9 trailer I was getting in Odessa. In contrast, the U-Haul counter at the Nuts and Bolts location in Odessa, MO was business as usual. I wore a mask, but the customer interface was over-the-counter as usual, with distance close enough that I was able to tell that the individual was a smoker. This location needs help during this pandemic. Curiously, the check-out counter for the rest of the store was practicing social distancing.

I love this location and the folks that work there. The manager handled the situation with the floor in trailer being left dirty. They do a great job here and I wouldn't let the one occurrence affect my choice to come back.

We had problems with U-Haul from the start. The truck they gave us had 4,000 plus miles over what it should have, but they switched our truck to a different one. When we went to return the truck at our drop off location the online process wouldn't work which was a big complication! I cannot say that anything was this locations fault but this and more problems was my U-Haul experience.

Trailer was a bit dirty. Lighting pigtail did not work. The tires are antiquated speed range J that does not meet the standards of modern day travel roads. The rental software program is really messed up and difficult for staff and customer to work. Did not find common tow vehicle. Could not locate return store even though there was a large on in the area. If a trailer is not on site customer has a long drive to find one. Charged a $60 dollar fee for using cash--how totally unreasonable.

Fix your website to show when a truck is not available at the chosen site, instead of waiting until the phone call to tell customers they need drive 30 mins away to get truck.

Cost me so so expensive .. no one help me move to Uhaul..I had to drive to Sedaila and Odessa twice unloading and loading.. cost me $230.00 for the longest mileage and I tried my best and Uhaul is not friendly because I talked with customer and said I was $50 dollars pentilty and u all charge me $230 dollars that is too much and I am single and no one help me .. jam very upsetting the price are bullshit... Thank Dianna PS I am moving to Odessa and now my $$$ is broke no food nothing in the bank.. thank u and I knew if I refuse to pay I will go jai ...I am damn alone doing unloading and loading.. wow..

Was not given the equipment needed to safely pull and operate the van. Was not provided a lift to reconnect the van so it could be loaded and was not provide the connection needed to connect the lights. We were on our own to find everything needed to safely operate and tow the vehicle to our destination.

L reserved the truck at this dealer but it was reserved in your system for another location. This dealer was not on-pen on Memorial Day. Although Nuts and Bolts had a truck to rent, it was in poor condition so I had to backtrack 40 Miles to get a suitable vehicle. I lost half a day That I needed for my move.

I was promised an 8am pick up time and after driving 45 min to get to my location to pick up the uhaul, I had to wait in my car for an hour til they opened at 9. Uhaul said it fell under nuts and bolts responsibility and nuts and bolts said it was uhaul fault. I had to wait in my car with my 10 yr old in 32 degree weather for an hour. Not a happy customer at all.

I ordered my truck to be received at Lexington but instead had to go to Odessa which was out of my way and put extra mileage on the truck because I had to end up going to Lexington because my rental eguipiment was not in the truck so I had extra mileage on the truck but the dealership I returned it do did not charge me because of the mix up.

They couldn't figure out how to use a cash register and charged me an extra $100. There were only 2 furniture blankets when I ordered 12. it took about a hour to just pick up the truck. It was awful.

Driver's side tail-light not working at time of pick up. We advised the staff, but there was no way to fix it. Two tires had low air pressure. One was at 35psi. Should have been at 65psi. The other on the same side was at 55psi. Other side was fine. Store employee aired up the tires for us. (But we checked it first. Good thing we did.)

Any time you turned off the Uhaul it didn't want to start like the battery was either low or bad. We had to take jumper cables so we wouldn't be stranded. Also I had a BIG issue with Uhaul not Nuts and Bolts. I did my reservation a month in advance and I still couldnt get a pick up site in my town or the next one at there Uhaul sites. I had to drive about an hour and a half to go pick up the truck and get it back to the house to even start loading it and I didn't get the truck size I requested a 17 foot I got a 21. Granted I didn't have to pay for the size cost difference but if I had wanted a bigger truck I would have requested it. What is the point of calling ahead and requesting the truck you need and the area you live in, if your company just does what it wants anyway. I will NOT recommend your company to anyone else, you are not concerned with your customer at all, you do what is best for you not us.

The original store where I reserved the trailer did not inform me that I would have to pick up in entirely different town. That was very irritating.

our uhaul did not come with a place to buckle in the passenger side seatbelt. Three different people looked and we could not find one at all. This is a huge safety concern and caused a large inconvience in trying to transport people.

The truck was coated in dried mudd inside and out.....the cup holders were covered in dried soda.....it was parked in a funky spot which was not east to back out of since there was piles of trash behind the truck......they insisted that the place I was going to drop off the truck did not exsist

The entire experience getting the truck rented was a hassle and disorganized. From my understanding renters will receive a call on the location of pick up until the day before-- I had to call and find out at three pm the day before I move. Odessa is only a 30 minute drive from where I was living, so not a big deal. My pick up was scheduled for 9 am, Nuts and Bolts did not open until 10 am. When I went in to pick up the truck the girl working the desk was disshuffled, I ordered a dolly- did not get it. She also did not ask me if I needed a ramp- something I was unaware about not coming with the truck. My truck was clean and ran well, however, the experience of renting was less than satisfactory.

No one came out to hook up trailer. Drove trailer home and hooked up to another vehicle and no lights were working. Called roadside assist and discussed taking to other UHaul in town, Walker Tire. Very helpfull but trailer wiring was bad. Had to switch out trailers.

The computer gave the customer rep/sales person and me problems for more than an hour. The cost of the dolly was wrong, wouldn't let me pay by credit card even though the only option at that store (credit card good) and was charging an exorbitant rate for cash (which I was not doing). This delay cost me in more ways than the initial wait time. I am not happy with this in the least.

U-Haul called about 12 hours before I was scheduled to pick up the trailer and said it was not available at the location I rented it from and was only available 30 miles from the original location. This was a huge inconvenience. It cost me about 1.5 hours of my time and about a half tank of gas at $3.50 a gallon. If there had been time to rent from another rental company I would have, but calling at 3:30 PM on a Saturday I did not have time to do so. I will try other rental companies first from now on and only use U-Haul as a last resort. This was not Nuts & Bolts fault it was all U-Hauls fault. They did however rent me moving blankets and did not have any at the location.

I was very disappointed having to use this location as it was not what I chose at time of reservation. There & back, it was two hours out of my way. I chose a location in Sedalia which was about 10-15 mns from where I needed it. The agent that I spoke with when I called however, Nate, was extremely helpful & I will be completely satisfied once the $50 credit that he offered hits my bank account & it is confirmed that I will not be billed for the extra day that he also offered me.

It took close to an hour to rent a trailer because the person helping me did not know anything about renting U-Haul equipment and messed the paperwork up. It also took close to an hour to return the trailer because the person where I returned it had to straighten everything out that they messed up when I first rented it at Nuts and Bolts. I don't think I am going to be renting from U-Haul again.
