Horrible Service, we scheduled a Uhaul for 4 hours, starting at 3:30, and no one told us and nothing was indicated that the location closed at 5, and since he didn't have someone to â€œwork the night shiftâ€, we were responsible for parking our car somewhere else and in charge of finding a place to park the Uhaul overnight (not an easy feat in a city). The vehicle felt very off kilter, didn't drive well at all, and took about 10 minutes every time to start. We will never be using this location again, and have already told a couple of our friends who are moving not to use. Worst experience with Uhaul ever, and it makes me question ever using Uhaul again.Lukas P.
The cleaning solution used in the cabin smells really strongly - I can imagine it would drive some people crazy, e.g. cause headaches for people with sensitivities. Hopefully it's just a temporary COVID thing!Marc C.

The storage facility met our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rate was competitive. The floor and wall are wood and it is not deep cleaned, therefore if storing furniture, I would recommend wrapping or covering it to protect it. The large service elevator was very helpful for move in and move out and we appreciated the security and locked gate during off hours.Catherine R. | Overall Experience

The reservation I made was for Christmas Eve. I called this location in advance to check their availability to no reply. I left a voicemail and was was never provided a follow up. I was able to confirm a reservation for December 24th, 9am-2pm. The website reflected normal operating hours to select for the reservation. I completed my reservation well over a week in advance. Upon arriving for my reservation, the attendant said that they would not be open past 12pm and if I didn't return the truck before then, I would have to hold on to it through the holiday and be subject to additional fees. When prompted to leave a correspondence for their manager to read upon returning past the holiday in the event we made it past the 12pm close time, the employee did not comply and gave a unprofessional response of â€œmaybe they will not give you a charge, maybe they will, I don't knowâ€ without providing any solutions to the obstacle at hand. I was very surprised to hear that as that information was not reflected in any email communications received after completing the reservation. I also was not provided a courtesy phone call by the location to inform me of this change in advance. It's extremely unprofessional that many attempts were made to connect with this location and then be provided information like this during an extremely stressful time of holidays, moving locations and COVID precautions. My move plans had to be cut by 2 hours. We had to stress about returning the truck. We did return the truck before the 12pm close time to avoid incurring additional fees. When we received the truck, we were told it was full. It was not a full tank. When contacted about this, the attendee was not helpful and said the tank had to be filled when returned. We compiled but want to provide another example of poor service received from this location. When leaving the location, there isn't any helpful signage our mirrors to help guide drivers out. Another easy fix that this lack of service location cannot muster the energy, enthusiasm or care to install. Would never recommend this location to anyone. Needs a complete change of customer service behavior and better up to date information advertised on website and through Hal Uhaul reservation service.Natalie D.

Brian was excellent (quick, friendly, clear). He did very good job handling morning rush. Van was clean inside but dirty outside. The location is a little confusing because there is no parking area. Perhaps a sign to direct people where to park when going up to office. But it all worked fine. I thought it strange that van didn't have electronic mirror control. Had to manually adjust my side mirrors. Not easy on passenger side when there is only 1 person (driver).Alicia H.

Overall, was totally fine and exactly what I needed for my move. The check-in and identity verification process was quite tedious and time-consuming (like several times harder than checking in at an airport, actually), but necessary I suppose? The cargo van was nice, but previous driver left some trash inside, and the outside had scuff marks on both sides and a taped-on side mirror that I had to take photos of to contest. If you only have one single dolly available as claimed, then you really ought to get more. Checking the odometer at the end was weird and confusing...figured out I had to press little buttons on the left side to get it to show instead of displaying "check engine". That should come with instructions or something. Would have liked a few bungee cords to be included with the van, but oh well. Fair price and not scammy, so yes I would rent from here again and recommend to others.Ryan H.

It was not advertised that there wasn't an after-hours/night drop box, so I had to drive back at 8:30am the next morning to drop off the key and turn the truck back in. If it was advertised, I could have made plans, but since I wasn't informed until I was given the key, it was incredibly frustrating. Otherwise, the location is fine.Paul S.

It was an unfortunate situation because the power was out at the location, and the computer could not check me out. I needed to convert to using my phone app and that was problematic. I figured it out but only after some stress (mostly having to do with a time deadline). I understand these things can happen. Brian H who was working was very nice and understandably frustrated too because he was unable to access his computer. It all worked out ultimately, but was stressful. Thank you! The online ordering and everything was great and the staff memeber inside was very communicative and informative. However, Getting the uhaul turned around to get out of the space was a little tough and wish they were facing outwards to start. I was afraid to turn around in there.Ashley B.

The truck cab wasn't very clean when I picked it up and the Uhaul system let me check out the vehicle until 6pm using the online check out system that means the location doesn't have to be open. However, when I returned with the truck the entrance to the Northgate Storage Center was gated and padlocked behind a barbed-wire gate. That meant I had to call customer service and get the reservation extended, park the truck overnight and drive extra miles back to my home before waking up early to drive back and return it in the morning. I'm very disappointed in the location and customer service I received.Aliza M.

Wash the windows and remove debris from under wipers, was a hazard to use wipers. Never recieved my mattress bag after reminding associate twice. Check in took almost an hour, incredibly slow.Alex B.
This was my first and last time using Uhaul. I was charged for the use of the vehicle, and per mile that I drove. I put in a quarter tank of gas in the city I was picking up my things because gas is significantly cheaper there: so I guesstimated. I am a single parent so every dollar counts for me. It ended up costing me $25 bucks for the gas. That quarter tank was not used and remained on full when I returned the vehicle. I returned and asked if the cost for the gas could be offset and I was told no. It's in policy. Here are my issues with this 1. Uhaul charges me for every mile and use of the truck and charges if you don't put in enough gas but will take a customers money if you put in too much gas. 2. The next customer that rents the truck will be told to bring it back at full. Gas that Uhaul didn't pay for. So if that customer doesn't do that, they will be charged a fee. So there could be a double profit for Uhaul at my expense and the next customer. 3. The employee went over everything that was in the contract that he had me sign, including to put the gas back to its level but he NEVER said we don't reimburse or offset fuel costs if you put too much. Interesting that he went over everything else. 4. I call 1-809 to Uhaul and I'm told that the manager won't be in the office until the 17th. And to call back then. This is a nationwide company and I call on a Sunday to be told that there is only one manager I can speak to about this all the way four days later? All in all-you're business model is designed to rip off customers and profit off of them for use of your products and use of anything extra that they give you. This was my first time using your service and I didn't see disclaimers even on your website about refueling or that clause. First time customers aren't going to know everything or read every line. I have been using Uhaul for years and I was beyond impressed with the gentlemen who helped us! I did not catch his name but he was genuinely nice, helpful, and really acted like he cared about us. While we were there, he was busy with many people and he wasn't rude. He kept his cool and was truly helpful and communicated with me but the others that waited. I would return just because of him! Thank you for having him there and he should definitely get a raise or be proud of himself for what he's achieved.Alejandra P.

Central north location is convenient. Arco right across the street. The location is a bit of a maze to get out but the manager was kind enough to drive it out for us. One criticism, though. The north office door knob has an extremely sharp burr ( or something) on it; I sliced my index finger opening the door. This isn't great for someone who is a massage therapist!Andre G.
