The manager was concise with his directions and I dropped the trailer and left.
Karla HThe truck made some scary rattling sounds and the engine made a strange whirring sound a lot. It drove ok, but made me nervous. My biggest complaint was filling the gas to the exact level we got the truck with and then still being charged extra for fuel. I even took a photo to ensure we were at the same level. I was told it was just under a half tank which was false....it was between 1/4 and a half and I filled it to just over that. Then was charged AGAIN for fuel. while the guy at check in was nice and helpful, it feels scammy to be double charged. If that was the case, I wouldn't have even spent money to put gas into it.
Stephanie FI would highly recommend someone to choose a different service for renting to move. I normally am very understanding about how things can happen and mistakes can be made. We’re human. From the beginning, the first location we chose didn’t even authorize a pickup for the truck in their system. They didn’t even make keys accessible. We had to drive further to pick up a different truck. Upon pickup, the app takes way too long. I submitted photos, etc. During our drive, the vehicle engine had issues shifting gears. It was older and seemed to have been used a lot. I’m definitely understanding about that. Our drop off was scheduled for 1pm. I called and asked if we could push the time without extra fees. I was transferred to a rep named Kristie (sorry for any misspelling). I inquired about any fees, for pushing the drop off time. She asked me questions and I did pause her, stating that I wasn’t ever going to cause a fuss from the beginning, but we were pressed for time and only needed to know if there would be a fee for extra time. She stated she was required to ask me questions, and if I wanted to speak to someone else, I could hang up. I asked her what other questions she had, and she ended the call with me. I called back and requested a supervisor. I was transferred to Adara (sorry for misspelling here too). I brought up the issues, she stated on the recorded line that we could have the vehicle until the next morning at 7am. I asked if there were extra fees. She said no, no extra charge. Monday comes around. I was billed for an extra $138 ON TOP OF MY $181.93 I PAID for apparent “mixed fuel”. Absolutely unethical and outrageous. On top of that, part of that extra fee was for extra time when I was told I wouldn’t be charged for it. This whole experience was a joke. Like I said, I understand that sometimes something can happen, but the whole day was full of issues. It’s completely uncalled for. Nothing was honored. I’m attempting to dispute within the company for those charges but who knows what will happen there. Don’t use u-haul.

Christine GWhen I was renting the truck, I had trouble submitting photos and receiving pickup instructions due to there being bad service at the location. I highly recommend them getting Wi-Fi with a provided password because it took me almost an hour to complete to get the key. Same issue when returning the truck. I also wasn’t able to submit photos of the truck when returning to show that it was in perfect condition & clean. The app kicked me out and I wasn’t able to finish the submission of photos and answers so I hope I’m not charged extra for anything. Also, the tires should’ve been checked before we took the truck, when we were driving down the bypass it was vibrating and the tire blew when We were only going 20-25 mph where there were no obstructions to pop the tire so it was already like that when i picked the truck up. Roadside assistance was excellent. They were able to pinpoint my location even though I had bad reception & the provider was quick to fix the issue.
Kali FThe local operations was great - Jordan was on top of everything. Meanwhile, your 24/7 MOBILE CHEICK-IN WAS TERRIBLE. I was held up for a little over an hour getting my truck, trying SEVERAL attempts to make payment arrangements. The first debit card I tried, which had a balance of 2 1/2 times the estimated amount, was unsuccessful. The second debit card I tried to use kept getting an error message saying I "need to update the expiration date". This was just not true - my expiration date (6/26) was completely current. I tried your live customer service, which was unhelpful. Finally, I tried a credit card - which we prefer not to use - that worked. All in all, your 24/7 sounds really good, but it was very inconvenient.
Rodney SBe exact with the mileage. My paperwork mileage was incorrect due to a service technician test driving the vehicle after the pre check and rental paperwork had been completed. The mileage was about 10 miles difference.

Laura sDrop off location was wrong. Web site gave an address when ordering, return address on contract was different, got to Lincoln to drop off and location was a vacant building. There was a uhaul place less than a block away. We dropped there. Was not right location but the guy where we dropped never even asked. Then phones calls and where is my trailer issues.

EDISON EI dropped the trailer off at the location stated on my email from your company and I was charged for dropping it off at the wrong location. I showed the email to your employee and he said he would fix it. FIX IT must mean charge the customer for Uhauls mistake
Henry CI rented the truck for 24 hours and I thought I had put pick up time for 10 AM so I showed up at 10 AM but I actually had put 12 PM as the pick up time. I asked the clerk if that was OK and he said yes so I went ahead with the rental but because of paperwork and the fact that I had a storage unit rented and I had to wait for the Clerk to unlock my storage unit because it was my first time to open it I actually didn’t pick up the truck actually get in it and drive it until after 11. I brought the truck back the next day at 11:13 AM and turned in the keys. I got the bill and it showed that I owed for two days of rental which surprised me. Had I known it was gonna charge me 24 hours for a 52 minute late drop off which wasn’t really late considering I didn’t actually get in the truck and drive it off until 11 something the day before I would’ve kept the truck for 23 hours and eight minutes longer. I don’t think you should charge someone for 24 hours of rental if they’re only late an hour or less. It should be a late fee or a partial rental or something instead of the full days rental extra.

ray mThe person helping me hook up the trailer did not connect the hitch to ball. It was not discovered until I arrived at another location to use the trailer. The gentlemen acknowledged it was his mistake but did not apologize for what could have been a very serious accident. He was also less than friendly or welcoming.
Cira ASomeone who loves uhaul I was definitely disappointed this time. I returned the truck because it was just issue prone as well as out of gas when I picked it up. I felt guilty for renting if. Maybe I’ll start using Penske I don’t know

Todd Kwhile there was not trash, I expected the cabin of the truck to be wiped but it was not. the cub holder was nasty per my standards. had to borrow wipes of at u-hall location office to clean it myself before I could drive it.
mustapha eOnly problem we had was the truck I reserved wasn’t available. We drove 200 miles to get that truck and it wasn’t available. The 10ft ended up working but it was very frustrating. We had to go to three different locations to get everything. N Salem location was great and helpful, it’s the overall U-Haul customer service we have a problem with. If you reserve a truck it should stay reserved.
