Dropping off the uhaul and keys was the not super clear and i had to step in the local office to figure that part out. Office employees were friendly, but i U-Haul should have sent clear drop off instructions by email

The front right tire was half pressure. No windshield washer liquid. The tires were summer during winter months, this was dangerous and slippery.

1. When booking the truck in advance, it would be great to be notified that actually picking it up may take a while (it took us almost 30 minutes to be approved). I thought that me entering my drivers license info ahead of time would mean I was already approved, but that was not the case. We had friends who volunteered to help and they had to wait around for us because we weren't aware there was an actual person who had to verify us at the time. Please make it very clear that when picking up the truck, drivers need to allow some time to be manually approved. 2. I had pre-entered all my drivers license info, including a secondary driver with their license details when I booked the truck. However, upon picking the truck up, none of that info was in my account and because of us being late, I was not able to add a secondary driver. This wasn't a huge deal because we were close, but for someone who is moving far away, it is an oversight on your end to not have this information saved. I thought that was the purpose of adding it in advance. 3. On those notes - a way to improve this process would be to allow for pre-approval of the drivers by uploading the photos and info ahead of time, as this was the part that took the longest and we were unprepared for it. Otherwise, everything else went well and we were overall happy with the experience.

This location has very efficient, friendly staff. However, at your African Food Market location, the service was horrendous. The staff are not trained, slow, blaming the customer or computer.....etc etc. I would not, repeat, NOT return to this location or refer it to anyone.

Feedback forms and comments will not be heeded so I am expecting this to be deleted. I was overcharged for a subpar truck. Then to add insult to injury, I needed to fill the gas tank higher than I picked it up. If you really care, you need to physically review this location. My advice, do a spot check “unannounced”. Maybe if you take responsibility for your brand, you won’t loose more customers like you just have.

small problem with the original truck - the battery was dead. Couldn't just swap out another truck, had to re-do the whole contract. Took a little longer to get on the road that planned.

We booked through the website, which did not recognize Canadian holidays like labour Day and did not offer me the 24/7 option for Labour Day. Harry just happened to show up and very graciously rented us the truck we had requested. Thumbs down to UHaul; thumbs up to Harry.

It was the overall experience that was very poor and extremely stressful. I went online to book the truck to be picked up at the south edmonton location and received a confirmation that the rental was secured. I got a call 4 days later to tell me that the truck was not available after all. Now I’m scrambling to find a truck 3 days before I needed it. I managed to find one but ended up being a 26’ instead of the 17’ originally reserved. It was only available for 24 hours. From 7am-7am. I travelled 45 minutes to get this truck. It was 7:45am when I got to the location only to find out it didn’t open until 9am. So when I called the 1-800 number the lady told me that I was to do a “self-pickup” which I wasn’t made aware of at the time of booking. Besides I hadn’t even gave a credit card or my drivers license at the time of booking so this didn’t make sense at all. I stood outside this location for 45 minutes trying to work with this woman on the phone to help me get my so called self pickup. Thankfully the manager showed up an hour earlier than the store hours and allowed me into the store to help me get my truck. By this time my scheduled move was behind two hours. I have never had such an awful experience with U-Haul in my life and we’ve used them lots. This whole experience was terribly disappointing and I will never ever use U-Haul again. My husband had just worked a 14 hour night shift and was so exhausted by this whole ordeal. I would so appreciate it if someone could phone me to explain what had went wrong here.

We were happy with everything until we were charged a cleaning fee. We received the truck pretty clean, (the outside was dirty), the inside was fine, but not sparkling or anything and smelled like cigarettes and we only used the cab to go to eco centre. The cab did have lots of debris but my husband swept it out. We would love to know what thd cleaning fee was for but neither of us really wanted to call and complain. It's too much of a hassle.

On pick up: The gate had not been secured so it flew up as I drove out of the parking lot. The windshield wipers were in terrible condition/falling apart making visibility as I drove through 4 hours of rain VERY POOR and stressful.

This a unique location as it is kind of a hole in the wall....I was tardy picking up my vehicle and some one arrived prior to me and scooped my "reservation", I met with Carly who was working diligently to prepare a recent return that had been mistreated. Carly was calm, helpful and explained the situation. Not perfect but she was helpful sending us on our way and the gentleman who we brought the vehicle back to was equally helpful....Thank you

This was the worst expeariance I ever had. This online booking crap IS A SCAM. MY PICKUP LOCATION WAS WRONG. IT TOOK ME 2 HOURS OF MY TIME TO DEAL WITH THE BULSHIT U SHOULD HAVE DONE. I WAS CHARGE THE CWD CHARGE THAT I DID NEED BECAUSE MY INSURANCE IS TRANSFERABLE. AND AN EXTRA 15 KM IN MILLAGE BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION . I WILL BE GIVING ALL THE BAD REVIAWES TO EVERTONE I KNOW. AND POSTING YOUR CROOKED ANTICS ON MEDIA

I was originally booked to pick up the truck at the 50th street location At 8 am and the truck wasn’t there and I was relocated to pick up an hour and half later which was further away and more mileage for me, and we had people lined up to help us putting us behind. when I got there I was lucky to even get a truck as that location isn’t open on the weekends but there happen to be a gentalmen that was there doing paperwork. When we got the truck the battery was dead and we had to boost it with our own truck. The gentalmen told me he would give us a discount for boosting it hopefully this gets followed through.

Shop was closed Saturday morning although it was indicated it would be open and no number to call to confirm the trailer had been dropped off. Went to the office first thing Monday and confirmed receipt- He was helpful then but it could have been a problem if I had been leaving Edmonton before Monday

Do not change pick up location and have the vehicle reserved and confirmed available for the customer. This includes equipment. Our pick up location was changed twice and equipment including the vehicle confirmed were not available. Not only that, we had to borrow and buy dollies that were originally included in the reservation. This fiasco added to our moving time, a smaller vehicle, mileage/gas and stress.

I had reserved a furniture dolly that wasn't in the truck when I picked it up, using the app because the location is closed on weekends. I made note of it when returning the truck and was only refunded for half the price of the dolly.

I had booked my 9' cargo van a week in advance and was going to use the mobile express way to get in and get out. Turns out my cargo van hadn't been scheduled and when I got to the pick up place the guy was not helpful at all but only told me to call customer service. After calling they transferred me to equipment repair (?) and then they transferred me to scheduling and then they sent me to another location that was difficult to spot. The woman who helped me finally get a van was nice enough. and that's it. i didnt get my van until an hour after my scheduled pick up time after arriving at the pickup location 10 minutes early and driving around to different locations in the city. when i pulled up an hour earlier than expected to return my van she was in the parking lot yelling 'another fucking one?' like she was unhappy to get it back. uhaul made the whole day just a little more stressful.thanks

Staffs from the said location needs to be reminded, that part of their job is customer service, and they should be doing their job right. That working at the end of a shift on Friday, should be like working at start of the shift on Mondays. Bad Lazy attidudes is a No No for business.

You charged me 200 km mileage over what I returned it with. You added an extra digit in the odometer reading, which may just be dyslexia but I only used 25 km total. You also charged me for 2 x $19.95, even though I only requested it for 4 hours after you called me and offered I pick it up the day before for the same price, since you said you were closed Saturday.
