My reservation did not show up on my account. I could not get my truck for 2 hours after calling the uhaul line twice and staying on the phone for 30 minutes the first time and 20 minutes the second time until I got a real person to help. If I were paying experienced movers I would be pissed off. Your system sucks.

Upon arriving in California, it was discovered that the brake fluid on the trailer was completely empty. Although the gentleman checking me out in Fort Collins CO was somewhat helpful, he obviously neglected to ensure the brake fluid tank was full. The employee in Chico who checked the trailer in took it out of service and said it should have never been on the road.

the attendant was reasonable and explained all the information. HOWEVER, when he installed the ball he did NOT insert the cotter pin correctly. We drove approximately 50 miles at highway speeds only to have the whole hitch come loose as we crossed the first stoplight intersection, luckily we were at low speed and although the trailer did impact my truck's bumper there was only a small dent. This obviously could have been much worse. I had a few tools with me so i was able to jerry-rig the hitch until I could get to a parts store and buy a new hitch pin.

The location was extremely small and very hard to park a trailer. The gentleman working the counter seemed very stressed, and concerned about making sure the rental was returned by 1pm or kept later. I returned the rental at 6:30 and was sent a lot of text messages about parking the trailer in front of another trailer. The parking lot was so small that was impossible. I tried to use the back lot to turn around and was met by a very angry person who yelled and cursed at me. Apparently this happens all the time when he is supposed to be off work. I asked him multiple times to just leave and let me park the trailer since he was off work but he refused and yelled and cursed at me more. He then told me he stressed that if I wasn't back by 1pm that I should keep the rental for 1-2 days more to bring back during business hours. I couldn't believe I was trying to be strong armed to keep a rental for multiple days because there was no way to park this trailer. I will never be back to this location ever again. If I'm ever redirected here I will cancel and choose another option until a better location is available.

There is "No Limit" to the extent the owner Shawn Brewer will go to give his UHaul customers a terrible experience. Reserved a 9ft van ten months ago. It has taken me that long to recover. Reservation booked online for 9:30am. Why UHaul let me reserve it that early, when Shawn stated he opens at 10am, I have no clue, you would figure that if you are a franchisee, you would inform your corporate supervisors about updates to your business hours. Finally around 10am, I along with another customer see Shawn. He starts helping me since I was there first, the other customer complains about the same issue, and Shawn starts talking over him and yelling at him, so customer yells back. Shawn tells that customer to call the cops and gets confrontational with said customer, says the reservation is canceled and to F--- off. Meanwhile, my wife and I are standing nearby, shocked that someone would treat customers that way. Once other customer who is fuming goes back to their vehicle. Shawn starts helping me again. At this point a worker of his comes up to him and asks a question, Shawn yells at him, "Go back and clean the f---ing trucks like I told you!" It was at this point I knew my wife and I had enough evidence to know that Shawn had "No Limit" to his temper. The smallest thing would set him off. Now I had just moved from the border of MN/WI to Colorado. So I had an out-of-state license. Which Shawn stated needed someone else to sign off on the rental. At this time, I was 29 years old, I legally do not need to have a co-signer for any form of rental vehicle. I had rented a few times from a UHaul dealer in MN with a WI drivers license, no problem. Shawn stated that I needed someone else to sign off on the rental, my wife offers her phone number, he calls it and gets agitated, "No - I said, I needed someone else, not you or her." At which point I said, "I have never had this issue before with an out of state..." Shawn cut me off, saying, " If you have an issue call corporate UHaul, I need another person, give me another number." At which point after witnessing all I had witnessed, I rolled my eyes. My bad. So Shawn then says, "I need another number sir, or we are just going to wait and I will cancel your reservation." At this point I text/call my Mom and Uncle back in MN. I gave him those numbers, it rang once and Shawn said, "I need other numbers that actually work." At this point, I replied, "If you let it ring more than once and hang up you would get my Mom or Uncle." So eventually he got ahold of my mom. I signed off on his phone and he got us the van. He told me to park our car in the back of the plaza, so I did, making sure to stay clear of any other UHaul vehicles. I also made sure to take pictures of any damage/state of the vehicle before I pulled off of the lot. About 15-20 minutes down the road I get a call that goes straight to voicemail, as I was driving and not going to answer the phone when driving. It is Shawn, he stated that I need to come back and move my car, because I parked it in the wrong space behind another tenants shop and not his shop. Um, what? There was no signage stating where UHaul customers were supposed to or not supposed to park? How would I know if I am told to simply park in the back? My wife and I do our thing, pick up what we need, and clean the truck like no tomorrow. sweeping every nook and cranny. We even took a video of it, in case Shawn decided to make us sweep it, or charge us a cleaning fee of $25 so he could yell at one of his employees to clean. Upon return of the 9ft van, I was brought around back to where my car was and scolded the way a Father would their misbehaving child acted, for parking in the back. Yes, I was reprimanded by the owner for parking in an unlabeled parking spot, because of some unsaid rule between tenant/business owners at the Cottonwood Plaza. Shawn ended saying, "the only reason I am telling you this is for when you come back next time." I just smiled and said sorry. Because at that point there was "No Limit" to my effort to "come back next time."

Advise us ahead of time that it closes at 1 PM daily. That would have saved us a trip, as we arrived there after 1 and had to return the next day. Also we were charged $25 for a cleaning fee although the truck was thoroughly swept out.

I reserved a truck one month in advance with appliance dolly and three dozen blankets. The truck was there but no dolly or blankets. Had to go six miles to get those. Cost me an hour and a half of time I needed. It was a real fluster cluck.

The check in process was very time consuming. A huge issue is getting some sort of service in this area. This is not on the location itself. Uhaul needs to take this into account. It felt like if we continued to have issues, we were going to have trouble getting additional help because no one was around.

The gentleman was super rude, and extremely unhelpful... I was supposed to have the truck at 830am, but was not until almost 9 that I drove off the lot. I also did not order a furniture dolly or or regular dolly, yet when I checked in, I was charged for them. The gentleman said, take it up with Uhaul. Not sure why I continue to use Uhaul services as this is generally what I can expect.

There was no one available when I had issues with the app picking up the truck even though it was during business hours. And after leaving in the truck, an empty drink container rolled out from under the seat and I found a used tissue in the passenger door. Upon return of the truck though, someone was there and helped me promptly without having to ask and was kind and helpful.

One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had in my life. You have options within a few miles of here and save yourself the headache and hassle and go somewhere else. The only 5 star review was obviously done by someone Shawn knows, otherwise Shawn has given the same impression to others. That's all you really need to know, but here are the details. 1. No one was there during office hours. Had to check myself in because Shawn was in the bathroom. 2. I was called a liar. After sweeping the truck at home he accused me of lying and something about surveillance camera. I returned to sweep the truck to save the 25.00 fee he was going to charge me. Took me 2 minutes, but he wasn't going to do it because he said he doesn't get paid by the hour. 3. When I returned he still wasn't available, but texted me that the broom was in the truck. 4. Was told told I should have looked at the sign on the door. When I returned to see what sign he was talking about it was a small had written thing among a absolute clutter of 6-8 signs. Entire place was muddy and dirty

Communication on self check in was not the best. I had requested my pickup time be moved earlier in the day. I could not check in because the pickup time was not changed. It took 2 calls to UHaul to get the time moved up and checked in. The truck was easily accessible. The 40 minutes and 2 calls to U-Haul was the big frustration.

The worst possible customer service experience. I was treated so rudely and when I asked for assistance with operating the lock on the keybox was told a video would be sent and it never was. The individual "working" could not be bothered to even say a single sentence to offer advice or assistance. I would categorize the experience as unacceptable in business.

Guys wanted me to return the truck early, I got there early they were off on lunch and had to wait for them to get back. Then they just got in the truck and didn't tell me anything about what they were doing, finally said I was over my miles. I told them I was a part of move share and they stared at me with a blank face and said I was going to be charged extra for the extra miles. Not very courteous or helpful at all

Original pick-up location did not have truck I reserved! WTF? I now have to find a ride to drive 60 miles away in the wrong direction to get the truck I reserved over a month prior, adding cost and inconvenience to a time-sensitive situation. This is a BIG DEAL.. That is not OK! Why is that OK from your perspective?! Pluys, your app stinks...it does not work well at all. The app instructions were wrong,"...place the lock on the fence in front of the truck"...There was no fence in front of the truck. No restrooms on site. No personnel on site during business hours.

The 2 workers that were there were very friendly and very helpful. That being said, the process for getting the truck took way too long to get approved. I had to sit and wait for 40 minutes before the online rep gave access to the code on the back of the truck to open it. Otherwise the truck was clean and ran well.

The person working at this location was very hostile when we arrived. He apparently left the door open to his office which we were not allowed to enter. I did not notice his 8x11 "STOP SIGN" on his door into his establishment. When he saw us entering from his store from where he was, outside of his store, he called us to stop. We came back out and then he got very aggressive with us and told us that there was "no in-person service at his location" and that we needed to go online. His aggression was very off-putting. We almost cancelled our reservation but we needed the truck. I would not recommend this place. This guy has some issues. I apologized but he was not a friendly person about it. Do not do service with this location while this guy is working there. Moving is stressful as it is and this guy make it the worst experience ever. Please share with him.

The owner was extremely rude. I made the mistake of arriving on time for my pick-up time, which ended up being an online pick-up, and the owner was in the truck getting it ready. I told him I was there for that truck, and he snapped that he knew, and the pick up wasn't approved yet He demanded the code that I had received, and he made the experience more complicated than it needed to be. Overall he made me feel as if it was a bother that I was trying to rent a truck from him.

Well app wasn't taking my ID picture, so I was going to go inside and ask for help. Problem was, even though their hours said open, the door was locked. They guy was outside cleaning things instead. Warn people that this site is unmanned and you won't get keys until you complete a long and complicated iPhone process. The online system doesn't work until you are physically at the pick up site. Having to provide two contacts to vouch for your existence was surprisingly difficult because most people we know are at work. They cannot answer random phone calls or texts at work. I wonder if that requirement has reaped positive benefits for the U-Haul company?

The uhaul was clean but the guy working was rude, late and didn't have the uhaul ready until 15 min after my pick up time, and was so unhelpful when my mobile check in didn't work. I asked him one question and he was rude and unhelpful and then put headphones on so he couldn't hear me again.

The young lady helping was wonderful but the guy running this place is horrible! He was rude, he got my order completely wrong, wouldn't admit it was his mistake! Tried to blame me and gaslight me like I have some magical power to change the order myself. He was a complete jerk to his employee. In professional as all get out! The corporate office called me and fixed everything with my Norse that he screwed up. Do not go here! This guys was an ass to everyone I saw him speak to. You don't run a business by yelling at your customers and blaming them for your own mistakes. I tried to tell him he had the wrong reservation and give him my reservation number but No dude knows better than every one else. Misogynistic Much?! Seriously this dude sucks! Don't go here!

The location is awkward because there are no designated places to park the trucks. The owner of the area had me park the truck by the garbage container. I wasn't sure where to park the truck upon returning the vehicle.

Absolutely not! And if I would have read the reviews before my husband booked this rental I would have walked the 14 miles with the furniture rather than rent with this company again. I refuse to watch a manager talk to his employee like that, wife or not. And I WILL NOT allow any person to talk to me with the amount of disrespect he had. I work with the college and will make sure to never recommend this place. Do NOT rent from here, read the other reviews the manager Shawn is so disrespectful!

A quicker process to gain entry to the rental would be appreciated, especially since I was texted/prompted to do an early check-in in order to make the process quicker, which of course I did. However, it took about 15 minutes to get me on my way and I was all set to go but then I was asked to move my vehicle more than a half mile away (I was moving/traveling alone), and then walk back! I was told that "the landlord doesn't like too many vehicles in the parking lot". WHAT?? It's a business next to other businesses, and parking while you complete a business transaction shouldn't be an issue. I don't blame the young woman giving me the message, but come on "landlord"! You can't tell your employees to ask customers to park their vehicle over a half mile away, then walk back to get back to their rental vehicle, AFTER crossing 4+ lanes of traffic!! Apart from those added stressers on top of moving which is already very stressful, the rest of the pick-up/drop-off interaction was very pleasant, thanks to the young man and woman that were working on 07/31/2021 @ 9AM.

The owner/Manger guy is EXTREMELY RUDE, disorganized and has horrible customer service. Got there after reserving online and took 30 minutes for them to 'bring truck around. Was told he 'got distracted' and 'forgot what I was doing. Truck had a dirty windshield and cab wasn't very clean. Radio didn't work. Truck made a funny noise every time you pressed on the gas. Got back to return. I swept Truck out but apparently not as well as i should have so owner accused me over and over of lying about sweeping it. I offered to respect, he couldn't find a broom. I offered to pay any charge for not having it to his satisfaction, he would rather argue and be rude to me. Both employees there at time talked about quitting because of this guy's anger issues. There was a little but of dirt/sand in the back of the truck (HD INSISTED on dragging me out there to PROVE I didn't sweep it at all) but not even enough to fill half a shot glass. Just glad the truck is back and there are PLENTY of other places to rent a truck for a dump run from so won't be using Uhaul ever again if this guy is who you let represent you. Get the name of the nice and brave young lady who did my paperwork, I'm sure she will verify my story. Huge disappointment from someone like UHaul.

Madeline was very professional; however, offering 24x7 truck share in a location which offers zero cellular connectivity without offering any WiFi option was very frustrating. In addition, I drove the van 17 miles, yet had to put 4.5 gallons in the tank to fill it. Location would/could not offer any discount for the extra fuel I had to purchase which would cause me to not use this type of service again.

Man came from around the outside of building, no name given, no company name tag or clothing indicating his association with U-haul. Put on face mask (COVID-19 ok), would not let me enter office. We conducted ‘business' on railing outside shop, odd. Just seemed sketchy to me. No printed receipt or contract, his 2 recently purchased printers weren't able to connect to his system. Upon returning the van, encountered another employee, who did provide his name. I anticipated him checking mileage and condition of van, did not happen, he didn't even check to see if we locked vehicle on the back lot. Boss (man I dealt with upon pick up) called employee and was told to lock up and walk away from me. He did as instructed and explained it was 5:01 and needed to lock up. I had been instructed to have the van back prior to 7:00 PM. Perhaps just different business styles and consumer expectations based on past u-haul rental experiences. Perhaps interaction with a smaller business (store front, inventory, working equipment to run office). It all worked out, we rented the van, completed our task, returned the van with 8 additional miles, full tank of gas, and clean. I am waiting to see if $ coming back to me actually does.

When we arrived at the location for pick-up (on time), the door to the business had a handwritten sign that stated they were closed for a few days (including our pick-up day). We went through the process of getting the vehicle on mobile and figured out the U-Haul was behind a locked gate. We spent 1 hour trying to talk to other tenants and on the U-Haul help line trying to get access to the vehicle. We tried three different numbers for No Limit Services (facebook, website and the number provided by U-Haul) all of which had been disconnected. Eventually, the owner saw us standing by the locked gate on his security camera and drove to the location to let us in. It was nearly 2 hours before we were able to drive off in the vehicle. It also didn't have a dolly in it as requested, but the owner was able to go and get one for us. I won't be using U-Haul for my next rental, nor will I recommend them to others. I will say that the customer service reps on the phone were pleasant and sympathetic, however, they weren't able to resolve the issue and I was passed around and hung up on multiple times.
