Location was fine. Truck pick up process was horrible. It took over an hour to go through this process even though I did most of the pre-check in process ahead of time to avoid this problem. I order the truck for 6 hours and since it took over a hour to go through our rental agreement we lost a hour and still got charged a late fee. I ordered and paid for a 4 wheel dolly and we were given a 2 wheel dolly which made our whole move in process much harder and more stressful. When I called on my move in day (not what I was planning on doing when I was on a time crunch to move as quickly as possible with one less hour with the truck) customer service rep said I was going to get charged for an extra hour and needed to speak with a manager on Monday. I Will not be using uhaul again in the future, it added more stress to our already stressful move in day. Very disappointed.

Your identification system needs improved...I proved my ID multiple days in advance on my phone then had to do it again on site, I also do it over the phone ahead of time. I shouldn't have to do it 3 x.

Staff seemed unfamiliar with uhaul system, had complications with reservation that had to be resolved in an unusual manner. Location claimed to have regular theft of trailers, I was unable to officially return the equipment using the uhaul app because of the reservation complications.

The website wouldn't work for a simple pick up so I had to wait 45 minutes for the poor guy in front of me whose complete rental was screwed up to get mine (mine took 2 minutes). The truck (and the office) smelled like an ash tray. The return was pretty smooth which is why the rating wasn't lower than it was.

The Storage company did not tell me the correct location for finding the truck. The online App at first did not work.. but after rerunning it, got the info.. which mentioned a cul-dul sac for the truck..after driving around found the location and all went smoothly from there.

I had reserved a dozen moving blankets and location did not have any on hand when I was picking up the truck. They located blankets at another location which I had to go and collect myself. I was charged the rental for these blankets and the major inconvenience of chasing them down myself...

We will NEVER EVER EVER rent from uhaul again. We couldn't get into the lock box despite being in the phone for over an hour with a tech. We missed our appointment to pick up our furniture completely which is why we rented a truck in first place. The company didn't offer any discount or compensation for this problem. NEVER AGAIN.

I spoke with an agent the day before my pickup who told me the original store I was going to pick my truck up at wouldn't be open due to COVID-19. So she told me the next closest store and asked if I would want to check in with an agent when I arrived, I said yes. I showed up to the pickup location the next day and was greeted by locked doors. I got on my email and followed the prompts for about 20 minutes, along with waiting for U-Haul agents to call 2 of my friends/family members to verify my identity. When I finally got through this process I was told to walk back and find my truck in the back of the lot. There were 2 U-Haul trucks, and there was no 15-foot u-haul like I had ordered/paid for. I got the designated key out of the lockbox as prompted on my phone, and found that they had given me a 10-foot truck, with no dolly, which I also paid for. I'm extremely disappointed and won't be using U-Haul again.

Teach your people how to read a gas gauge. The contract said that the truck had 3/4 of a tank when I picked it up. The gas gauge read that it actually had 5/8 of a tank. I noticed this after I pulled away from the location. When returning the truck, I filled it to 3/4 but was annoyed with the extra money it cost me.

This Nelson Road U-Haul place is excellent and the service also. I really appreciate the man who helped me. What can improve is the online U-Haul where I made the original reservation. They made the experience negative with their nastiness over the return of the truck, which was no problem in reality--only with them and their demands for pictures (after I had already returned the truck).

The trailer had been washed earlier in the day, in fact. Staff made sure that the connections, both mechanical and electrical, were solid and functional. Tire pressures were visually nominal. There were no rust, dents, dings, or wobbly places in the structure of the trailer. Staff stayed a bit later than their normal closing time to accommodate my return at the end of the day. A completely satisfactory rental experience!

This location was farther from my house but I selected it since they were the closest that had the truck size I wanted. However, the truck I reserved in advance was not available when I arrived. The location knew that in advance but didn't contact me so I could have made other arrangements. They provided a larger truck (which I didn't need - I was purposely trying to avoid a large bulky truck). Although they said they just cleaned it, it was filthy. Contents spilled on the middle seat, mud on the door and mats, the windshield was so dirty you could hardly see out of it and the windshield washer didn't function. The roll-up door was excessively difficult to open or close. Lastly, although the documentation said the fuel tank was full, it only had 3/4. I had to go back into the office. Although the staff marked my sheet, they didn't update the system, so problem on web after-hours check in which indicted a full tank. Obviously there was no outgoing check on this truck. The hole experience was disappointing and fully avoidable.

Have the gas tank full like a rental car and request it be returned full rather than having to do math to figure out how much to replace. : ) Otherwise, easy transaction, easy to drive, made the move quick and efficient. I work for a film festival production company and my car was damaged regularly loading pipe and drape and projection gear. I've got a shiny new car and will insist we rent a UHaul next month!

Truck was very comfortable and drove very well. Check in was pretty easy although the check-in website would not recognize my location so I just dropped off the keys and the contract in the drop box. I received a receipt first thing Monday morning! Very good service.

The billing process is inaccurate and borderline deceptive. I turned my rental back in clean and was charged a fee for cleaning. I called U-Haul before turning the unit in and they said it would be taken care of. A week later I receive notice of the final bill and the cleaning charge was still there. This is not an issue with Nelson rather a problem with U-Haul. I checked my vehicle out at 6:00am and turned it in at 9:20pm same day. No one saw me or talked with my from Nelson as I used the app to self check in and out. Please remove the default cleaning fee from your billing process.

Make sure you contact customer beforehand to confirm truck availability...no one informed us, and had to take a much smaller truck. Personnel was fab, tho, and should be commended for polite, patient, apologetic handling of our disappointment!
