These people were the worst. The truck that I rented came with a flat tire and specifically did not come with the 2 dozen moving blankets I ordered. The people hired to load the truck also came from Namaste and they were somehow even worse. They loaded only 3 things in the first half hour. They asked if they could have some of my stuff as a tip. They loaded it poorly and significantly damaged many pieces of furniture. Namaste Shipping made moving as difficult and stressful as humanly possible.

The location or equipment is not the problem. The entire customer service experience has been redirected back to the customer. And there is absolutely no human contact. Select in your vehicle online make a new payment Online. Arrive into the location figure it out to scan a barcode to show that you have arrived. Not that you're showing it to anyone in particular. Deton tire process. Return in the vehicleYou must check the mileage eat mileage gas take pictures pictures of the vehicle from the sides from the front from the back submit it. We scan that you're there. Then you would drop the keys in a Box. God help you if you miss a step you cannot move forward. You absolutely must be tech savvy And you must be mathematically correct to run up your mileage and gas. My charges was double From what I had previously paid. I would imagine the 2nd time around would be maybe easier but I would not do it again.

I arranged a reservation for a 7:30am pickup, several days before. On the reservation day, I arrived at 7:30, checked in online and received note saying this pickup was scheduled for in person deliver, when the location opened at 9am. Time was critical for my day and UHaul blew it, with no apology or recognition of their mistake. Incompetent staff.

I will NEVER use the Self Pickup System again EVER...It took me over an hour to get my truck, I was on hold with the U-Haul Help Desk for over 25 minutes to learn that if you're over 15 minutes late to pick up your truck your app system does not recognize the user. U-Haul needs to put some money into their IT systems. Awful Experience!

The self check in wasn't very user friendly or didn't work. I couldn't locate to do the check-in and had to go inside to have a manual check-in. The gentelman there was very helpful and made the process very easy.

/this uhau I was originally assigned to a rental van, that wasn't even in the inventory of vehicles. When telling Todd of this, he assigned me a different vehicle, but apparently did not change the paperwork. Soon after driving away, I rec'd a notification from uhaul, asking me to verify that the attached information was correct. But it was the information pertaining to the first unit, that wasn't available. Then, when doing an after hours drop off, I recd paperwork the next day, showing that I was charged for 3 gallons of gas. I had only logged 14 miles on the vehicle. I tried calling Todd to tell him I had spent $12 refilling the gas, prior to returning it. Each time, I rec'd a "Caller Busy" notification? Ive never had this happen before, when calling a cell number. Maybe because it was an out of state area code? I had to finally drive back to the Uhaul office to rectify the situation. After interrupting his lunch and waking up a woman sleeping on a nearby sofa, he asked if he could help. I informed him that there is no way his information could be correct (It would have meant the vehicle got 4.6mpg. And that would have been IF I hadn't put $12 worth of gas in it). He said he credited me for the mistake and I would receive an emailed copy of it. I instantly showed him the email I rec'd, which was not the same as the one he claimed to have sent me. He scratched his head, said it "was weird, and he'd never seen that happen before".

The representative at the station seemed very friendly and helpful while we were there. However, it became clear that quality checks were not give to the truck I had rented. It was parked fully boxed in, and we had to call to get him to pull the other truck out of the way. Also, a cable was broken on the back of the truck and the door could not shut all the way, a clear safety and security issue. There were cigarette ashes in then front seat, and the gas tank was left with only 1/8 of a tank of gas. This was definitely my worst UHaul experience to date.

I am rather certian that I requested in-person pickup, so if a colleague had to pick up the truck there wouldn't be an issue; however, this order was switched to online. Thankfully, I did the pickup, but it wold have been a big issue had that not been the case.

The location is filthy. It is not a business at all. I felt uncomfortable going into what appeared to be someone's house. The guy was eating on the couch In front of a scummy fish tank. There was junk everywhere and a foul smell. He was very unkempt. I also needed to extend my reservation due to an emergency. I sent an email to the location. He never responded or called me. He claimed he never read the email after I called him and charged me for another day anyway and threatened to charge me for a third day while providing no proof that anyone else had a reservation for the vehicle but told that even though I was being charged for an extra day, I couldn't keep it an extra day and would be charged for another day every four hours. This is a very bad business practice that I never agreed to. I was never given a contract or allowed to read anything. I was given zero paperwork contract or proof of insurance. I rented from Uhaul many times and this was a terrible experience. I won't use them again

It was much harder than I thought, In the rain I had to find my vehicle, take a picture of myself, take a picture of my drivers license, provide two contacts that need to be called at 6:00am while I was waiting. Then I had to walk around to the front of the building to get my key, then around again to get my vehicle. The passenger window was rolled 1/2 down and it was raining.

After renting a 15 foot truck for an in-state move for $512, $200 worth of gas and $400 for moving help… Uhaul (Namaste Shipping) is trying to bill me an extra $120 for “not returning the truck properly”, even though they have the truck and it was left in the proper location. Which brings me to my drop-off story. Saturday April 16th, 2022 at 6:15 pm we returned the truck to the Namaste Shipping location in Chicago. They closed at 6, so we were left reading the instructions on the door and referring to Uhaul's website for instructions. There was no phone number to call for that location and the Uhaul customer service line had a 30 minute wait time. The website had multiple error messages while trying to use it, the first being a “your session has timed out”. When I was able to log-in again, the location services did not work and the website would not allow me to move past the location requirement. So after a long day of moving and driving I was stuck with a malfunctioning website and no costumer service. I took pictures of the truck and location to upload later, but I was never able to get past the location requirement. Uhaul called Monday and asked about the return, I stated that it was returned to Namaste Shipping, as agreed, and the Uhaul representative said thank you and that was all. Lo and behold, Wednesday brought a mysterious $120 charge to my credit card… there were two other groups of people returning trucks on Saturday night and we all had questions and struggled to understand how to return the truck properly. It is clear to me that this location has deliberately made the process unclear so that they can then charge another $120. In this case they were aided by a malfunctioning website and insufficient customer service. Apparently Uhaul has decided that non-existing customer service and hidden charges are the way to run a business. Do not try to return your truck to this location after hours.

do not rent from this location. Equipment came to us so broken that we couldn't use the side van door and the van left us stranded in the middle of the city with a van load of things. Roadside assistance was barely helpful and continued to have us stranded until 4am - our rental was scheduled to end at 11pm the previous night. Extremely disappointed.

First. I was not made aware this location was not accessable. I needed to register online then download the app to get the combination to the lockbox. I needed to go back home to get my passport to download because your system would not allow me access. The app continued to drop me 5 times so I had to consistently have to re-register. I was supposed to pick up my van at 8:00am but I didn't get tbe van until after 10:00am. After everything was done I was not able to access the app and the UHAUL office open and there was a hippy inside and was able to assist me but I did not feel safe, the office appeared to look like a drug den then an office. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL EVER AGAIN!

This truck was assigned to me with Gas indicator with Empty light on, the entire truck stunk of cheap cigars, there was cigar ashes in the cup holders and a cigar stub put out in 1 of those cup holders. I demand a refund for this rental.

they are supposed to open at 9 Am but no one was there and the open sign was on the entrance. at 11 Am he showed up and give answer to our questions. he lived in UHAUL office. zero customer service and helping. i never ever choose UHAUL. it was my first and last time. UHAUL app in awful. some feathers works only on android some only in apple. if you call customer service i takes almost one hour to answer it .

Generally, a vehicle rental transaction is finalized immediately upon return. This operator instead sent me an invoice only after a couple of days. That said, the charges for mileage and rental were as anticipated with no charges for fuel or damage. The operator is an honest provider in an otherwise sketchy industry.

The location was closed and so not staffed. Trucks very difficult to find as they were parked in several places that you had to find for yourself - in front, down an alley, in a back lot. There was no key for my truck when I found it and no one to ask. I wasn't given any information about the key lock boxes but instead the online instructions said to get them from inside the facility, which, as I said, was closed. When another customer in a similar situation did open the lock box we found two keys, neither for our vehicles. I spent more then an hour on the phone with U-Haul, mostly on hold, before someone solved my problem. I got a truck 90 minutes late, and you didn't even adjust the start time of my contract. Terrible service.

I had a $25 charge for cleaning that posted after I returned their vehicle. I was not told there was a charge for cleaning the truck. I only had it for about 3-4 hours and it was returned in the same condition. The truck was only $19 to rent so I find a $25 cleaning charge excessive. Worst than the charge is the fact that no one answered my many calls or returned my voicemail message. I guess I'll have to use Budget next week.路‍♀️

Pleasantly surprised. Rented from 6415 N Ravenswood about 9 years ago when it was owned by another person - completely horrible experience and vowed to NEVER rent from Uhaul again.Uhaul was the cheapest so I was gonna take it in the shorts, did not know it was under new ownership (about 5 years ago). Namaste was GREAT to work with so happy its under new managment, thanks to them, I've changed my tune on Uhaul.

My moving pads were not in the truck and no one told me they weren't there. I discovered that when I inspected the truck. I had to drive to another location to get them. Additionally, my pick up location was moved and it was a nightmare getting in touch with someone to confirm. About 5 phone calls, on hold for more than 3 hours.

This location parks vehicles on the street. Our assigned vehicle was pinned in both ends by personal vehicles. We had to get a different truck and that meant having to call U Haul and wait 17 minutes to change the paperwork. The clerk at Namaste could not change it on his end. I suggest you don't have this location because of the parking situation. Also you need to make it possible for the clerks to update changes in real time.
