Uhaul really needs to automate more of the checkout /pick up process. On site staff have to key in far too much information for a prescheduled pick up. Additional information should be provided by the customer in advance so it is more of a verification of license and person and simply print, sign, and drive away.

Ted A.Unfortunately, the Uhaul reservation failed completely, sending me notice that my truck would be available at my local dealer. When I arrived, it was not there but instead 14 miles away in the opposite direction. I received no call and only a text to pre-submit my drivers license ahead of my pickup (booked 2 days prior to my rental date). With that said, your customer service was great! The call center worked quickly to find the truck, ensure it was available at the remote location, and even resolve the issue with the extra travel distance incurred. Likewise, the staff at the pickup site had the truck ready, checkout set, and quickly reviewed the changes made by C/S to ensure the process went smoothly. Checkin went just as smooth and my billing reflected everything I was promised. I could not have been happier! Please fix the process for your online reservations. This was the first time I booked a truck on line and it was a hassle. On the other hand your people, from both the involved dealers to the customer service and reservation staff, are great! I'll continue to use Uhaul but it's only because I'd the great service I received from these people.
