enrique aStarted my long-distance move with a truck filled with cigarette ashes all over the seats. Didn’t have the dolly that I reserved. Gave me a truck poorly maintained (water pump broke and left me stranded on the side of a major highway for 4 FOUR 4 hours in 105 degree heat - but tow truck driver said the drive train was so rusted that it was ready to break as well - 100k plus miles on truck) for a one-way move across the desert. Overall, total nightmare!! Would never recommend U-Haul. Ended up having to move entire contents of 20’ truck to a replacement. 26 hours later, we were back on the road again with damaged goods.
Julie HWindshield was very dirty. Smashed bags cannot be removed by the wind-washer.

Roberto CI picked my truck up on a bright and beautiful Saturday morning, the company was closed. When I got in the truck the fuel gauge was below "E". I had to drive straight to the nearest gas station (.2 miles ONLY)). Halfway to the gas station the truck runs out. I then walked, bought a gas can, got 1 gallon of gas in my overpriced small California compliant gas can, walked my happy ass back to the truck. I then drove back to the gas station like a wierdo to fill up. Called your customer service and the women that answered didnt give a shit, the attitude and lazy voice was a give away. I'm disappointed in u haul and I'll be sure to share my experience with the world. Bye Felicia...

Tchaidor DMy overall experience was extremely terrible. I made my reservation for a car hauler 42 days before moving from California to South Carolina. The DAY BEFORE PICKING UP trailer my location was changed and pick up time was changed from early morning 8am to 130pm which caused a whole delay in leaving California. After picking up trailer and reassured the trailer was in EXCELLENT working condition I discovered while going down a steep grade (with car on car hauler ) the brakes were not responding correctly to help slow me down. Actually after a few hard braking situations the brakes felt as if they went from not working to sticking or dragging while going up making my truck work twice as hard. I contacted customer service after hours and the only advice I got was, "you are welcome to stop at a service location near you so we can inspect trailer but you would need to off load any equipment as we can not be responsible for it." This is AFter I was already told that the trailer had been thoroughly inspected before I picked it up. From the Texas to Kentucky I didnt have any issues because there were no steep hills or mountains. Once I hit Tennessee I started having issues again with the brakes not engaging going down hills and sticking or dragging going uphill. Other issues with the trailer include ratchet straps mechanism to cinch down over tires were worn out and slipped severely. As if the trip wasnt bad enough, once arriving at my destination, I called the drop off location before I left my home to return trailer only to find out that specific location would not accept the trailer because they were full and directed me to drop off trailer over an hour away to a Savannah location. Dropping at this location was over an hour away in one direction. I hope the next customer will decide to find some other company that is more honest and more reliable. BECAUSE UHAUL IS NOT. For all my headaches and stress caused by uhaul I got 50 dollar credit and have a nice lifr.
Matthew Swindshield was dirty. the person who rented it adamant that i download a picture of license. i told him it said optional. it seemed he did not want to rent the truck since i didn't download the license. on the counter it said he could do it. he seemed inconvenienced and then charged me more than the web reserv of $144. and a few months ago i rented and paid $122 from Hemet to SAn Diego which is actually further than my trip today
Joanne SI returned the equipment after hours and found little to no information on the U-Haul Web Site regarding process instructions to return. I waited on hold the standard 20 minutes to speak with a representative to obtain instructions. That being said, Hillary A. was fantastic in describing the process and confirmed by e-mail when my photos were received. Hillary saved the day! Thanks!

Christy DOperation needed a Customer Service Audit. U-Haul representatives not available to attend desk. Store opened during business hrs while dropping of rental. No customers in store. I was told by someone in store to Unhook Dolly and to put back “Exactly where I found it”. I left store with out receipt. No inspection of dally leaving me vulnerable to acts of nature. Spent my Saturday morning on U-Haul Customers Service explaining my self why it is not acceptable to not get receipt during business hrs.

FRANK SThe clerk ran our credit card and said it was declined. I gave him mine. We found out that he ran the 1st credit card twice, therefore, freezing the account. We are still waiting for our refund 2 weeks later

Rene ABilling accuracy needs to improve. I received a receipt for $440.86, yet $557.02 has been debited from my account for the rental. A discrepancy of $116.16 is substantial.

David GSame as before, the trucks are not well maintained and they will eventuality cause an accident because they need to have the engines serviced. When i communicated the issues at the drop off location, he stated that he was aware of the issues with the truck throwing passengers into the dashboard due to the way the truck downshifts
