Truck was full of trash. Had to wait 45 minutes to pick up truck. Did not have appliance dolly I requested and was told to go get a regular dolly out of another truck if I wanted one. Overall no problems, easy to get to and use the key box, easy to get in and out of the parking lot. The truck was not dirty or in bad shape but there was a hypodermic needle in the overhead compartment ... It probably got overlooked, I don't blame the location for thatAndrew G.

This was a self serve/independent check in site. The code to the the key box was alpha and the key box was numeric. Once customer service assisted me with opening the key box, the box was empty...there was no key. The truck was unlocked so thinking this particular truck might have been one that was returned and perhaps the key had been placed in key return and not yet back into the appropriate key box (?). Not sure what happened here, but major problem causing me to cancel this reservation on the spot and have customer service locate another truck at my final destination an hour and a half away since there were no trucks left in the local area leading to additional and unexpected time and expense.Carreen R.
Stop cancelling and rescheduling pick up locations on the last day.. I was re-routed two times the previous day to other locations which was 50 miles from my location -> hence i spend 100 miles of mileage (99$) just due to U-HAUL's rescheduling of locations. In my opinion, this amount (or at least 75% of it) should be refunded by U-HAULarnab G.

No U-Haul representative on site during normal business hours. The retail store clerk's only input was you have to do everything on the app. He had no knowledge of the app or how to use it. All the trucks and trailers were located on one end of the building. The key pick up lock box was located on the opposite end of the building with no signage to lead you to it. It was like a scavenger hunt to find the lock box. Not what I needed after a very frustrating check in process.Jason H.
No Key at the time of pick up, had to wait a few hours to get a key, mileage on truck was wrong, I only drove 31 miles and got charged for 94, could not check truck in on app, worst experience with anything I ever rentedmichael B.
The front ent shakes when it gets up to about 60 MPH. The store owner was 2 hours late opening up. When I clicked on the message I was sent from UHaul, the message told me to return the truck to Sunny Food #7. When I got to Sunny Food 7 and clicked on return truck it told me that I should be in Mrs Nadias parking lot, which is where I rented the truck. I was in that area when I finished up using the UHaul and could have just stopped by there, but I was following directions that I was sent from you guys. After making my payment to rent it online they lady took a very long time and gave me trouble getting the uhaul I had to kids with me and I had to Uber there from Pelham everyone at the company was very rude if you don't like your job quit the tire had a bubble in the side of it and was leaking air they added charges to my card when I only kept it for 1 day end up owing 237 extra dollers and after putting over 50 dollers in gas in the vehicle I won't be using uhaul againRebecca B.
I reserved my truck on a Tuesday for the following Sunday. Went to the location Saturday to rent a appliance dolly and to make sure the correct procedure to check out my truck since I was picking it up after hours only to find out the truck had been rented. If I hadn't went that Saturday I would have never known it had been rented out therefore I would have gone Sunday to find no truck. The girl was extremely rude and unhelpful she finally attempted to find me another truck at another location but it was to late I was already pissed. It was an act of congress to get her to rent me an appliance dolly. This is know way to treat customers or do business luckily I was able to borrow a trailer to move my furniture. Never had this kind of experience with uhaul before. If she hates her job that bad find another onemichael P.

Rude, unprofessional, biased, after reserving a truck online the employee told me it was unavailable then after a 45 min wait I was finally able to use the truck. There was no vehicle check before use and didn't go too far but was charged full reserve price. The non-contact checkout option totally failed. Customer support was of no help. Reservation was moved from one location to another last minute then reservation had to be cancelled because of a system glitch not allowing me access to my lock to obtain the key. After finally getting the the key, the ignition failed each time I tried to crank the vehicle. Needs servicing badly. Overall poor experience. Glad it was a quick local need only spanning 10miles/2hours of use. Pretty disappointed.Jerett N.

Staff was very rude and uninterested in doing any work. When I arrived the clerk had her head laying on the desk with her coat over her head I had to ask to be helped more then once. They had a terrible attitude about having to do work at all. There was not a walk around done, I didn't have any assistance backing up to the trailer or help picking up the heavy trailer to put on the ball of my truck. My overall experience was extremely poor because of the staff and location the trailer itself was fine but do to the staff and location I will not go back there and have advised others not to go there already and will continue to do so. Strong consideration should be taken on if this location should be allowed to be apart of your company. I have used U-Haul many times in the past and have been pleased. This time was very much not what I have come to expect from u-haul.Jonathan B.

The lady, did not have enough staff. So 20' truck and trailer were not ready. After she verified the location of trailer. I went out to begin travel and the trailer was blocked by other Uhaul vehicles. I had to go back in the building and ask her to move the Uhaul vehicles. THEN I had to back the truck up to the trailer, she did not assist. Very very bad customer service!!!!Jovett J.

Uhaul knows how to get extra money. I had to drive all the way across town to get my truck. It was supposed to be picked up 5 miles from my house. So payed 40 dollars in unless miles. Due to your system not being up to date, I lost $180.00 worth of wages. Management never called back.. I used Uhaul 4 times in 10 years, it's always and horrible experience. The local manager and marketing person, provide horrible customer service. They didn't care about the issue, so I tried to speak with Corporate, but they never called back. The experience was a disaster. Truck was dirty, got charged a cleaning fee for bringing it back in the same condition it came in +full tank of fuel. Got in contact with the manager for my cleaning fee back and was told I'd get it back. However instead of getting it back I got charged another $32.19 and still haven't received a response on why. This brings my total to $164.39. I was originally going be paying $103.20 but ultimately ended up getting ripped off. The only thing I really want is either all or half my money back. Note: as of writing this I still have gotten no correspondence from the company on this matter at hand. In short Never rent a truck from here. Good luck out there y'all!mark M.
I reserved a 26' truck from a U-Haul location in Woodstock, Al using the U-Haul website. I was later informed by e-mail that my reservation had been moved to the Bessemer location, 20 miles away. I called Mrs. Nadia's Army Navy Surplus to confirm. I was told that I would be charged the extra 20 miles distance each way even though I reserved from a closer location. I also had reserved pickup for 10AM, but it had been changed to 11AM. The lady I spoke with assured me that they opened at 10AM and I could still pick it up at that time. The next morning, we arrived at 10AM, but the store was not open yet. The owners finally showed up at 10:30, but told me that I would have to wait outside for another 10 minutes. Once they let us in, they said it would take several minutes to get the computer started to check us in. The young lady who processed my rental firmly informed me that once I left the premises with the truck that implied acceptance of the contract and then asked did I want the contract sent to my email or to my phone by text. Since I do not have email set up on my phone, I requested by text. Several minutes later, she informed me that she had sent it to my EMAIL. Already, an hour late and with my moving help waiting on me, I didn't argue with her. She also told me that the truck had 7/16th of a tank and that I must return it with 7/16th of a tank. How Bizarre is that? Why not rent it with a full tank and require it to be returned full? I guess each renter should jump in and out of the truck as they refuel to get the gas level exact? Before I moved the truck, I took a picture (happy to provide it to anyone who cares) of the dash gauges showing 5/16th on the fuel tank and the odometer reading, 156,435. Late that night when I returned home and read my email, the contract stated the odometer as 156,428. I know 7 miles is basically just $7.00 more, but dishonesty really irritates me. If someone will cheat on little things, they will cheat on bigger things as well and if this business or U-Haul as a whole adds just a little to each rental, over time those littles add up to a substantial fraudulent profit. Of course this 7 miles is added on top of the 40 additional miles that U-Haul charged me because THEY moved my reservation. The truck was adequate in size and made the move without breaking down. The motor did seem to have a slight miss and the AC barely cooled the cab, but it was basically clean and served our purpose. I didn't bother with getting the fuel tank to 7/16th, I just filled the truck up and returned it with 3/4 tank of gas. All in all, it did what we needed but left me disappointed with the company and this location. The U-Haul website needs to immediately notify the renter if a truck is unavailable at the requested site and offer the renter their choice of other available locations/options and CLEARLY notify them that they will be charged the additional mileage. As it currently works, it appears set up to earn additionalNOEL N.

Business closed for dropoff. Uhaul remote return was 1 out of 10. Weblink doesn't work well with Google Chrome. 45 minutes to return 20' truck and 6'x12' trailer. Also not happy with the inability to drop the trailer to unload the truck. Both pieces had to be returned at the same time.Daniel A.

I was totally over charged,I return the truck the evening of August 13,2019 , which was the same day of rental about 6:45pm, and the young lady didn't check my truck in until August 15,2019.She also added additional charges to my credit card, which was another days rental which was $29.99 plus a $20.00 late fee and I was not late, those people aren't doing there job at that location, I have enjoyed renting from Uhaul but never ever from that location again, and can you please return my money back to my credit card plus tax.i feel this is something y'all should know.you can always contact me at+12052600132 Thank y'allKenneth C.
