We had a very bad start to this rental. We were contacted on the day of our pick-up with a change of pick-up location, to a very inconvenient new location in a different city, requiring us to go through a congested tunnel with tolls. I asked for other possibilities in the original city of our booking and was basically told that our only choice was to go to the new assigned location. Then, having made it through the tunnel, we drove right past that location, which turned out to be an Exxon gas station with three U-Haul vehicles parked behind it. So I am answering "Not Applicable" to the question about recommending this location to a friend, because I did not choose the location. There are two reasons I am not giving the lowest possible rating on the pick-up experience. (1) The vehicle was clean and in good condition. (2) The young man at the Exxon gas station knew his stuff, got us signed up and on our way quickly - thank goodness, because we had lost a lot of time by now - and was relaxed and friendly. We couldn't be mad at him, even though we were very, very mad at U-Haul at this point. Sorry I don't have his name, but kudos to him. He helped turn the corner on our rental experience and, once we had calmed down, things went well from that point onwards.

Truck had items (debris) left from the previous person that had rented it. Waiting time to pick up and return were too long because there was only ONE worker performing several tasks. Motley MGMT is a gas station, fast food service restaurant & convenience store combined. More employees are needed.

Data input for customer should match customers account info. My address is different on my receipt, different from profile address. This rental is not on my account.

Worst experience ever. Our reserved truck was given to somebody else using our reservation earlier that day. Then the clerk behind the counter said he was unable to do anything, he could not rent us the truck without a reservation which had been given to somebody else, and he could not make a reservation for us. We had to call U-Haul and do it over the phone. This is a convenient store, so as we are dealing with this clerk we are continually having to pause and wait for him to sell beer cigarettes and gas. It was extremely frustrating.

When we arrived at our appointed time to pick up our truck we were informed we had already picked it up and returned it earlier that day. We had not. We were told our reservation was gone because it had already been used. We had not used it. The man behind the counter told us he was not the person there that morning when our reservation was used so he didn’t know what happened and he could not do anything about it. He said he could not rent the truck to us without a reservation and he could not make a reservation for us. We ended up calling uhaul and dealing with someone on the phone to make a new reservation.

It was also a gas station and the attendant constantly would stop helping me to sell lottery tickets to people coming in the store.

Had to wait for customers who were purchasing gas and others who were buying convenience items from the gas station store. No one walked outside to look at trailer or vehicle. Handed us a hand written ticket with the trailer number on it and sent us out to find it. Still have no receipt.

The rep was rude and he put the wrong information down for my rental then charged me double for my rental and did not refund my money. He got very rude and belligerent and even asked me. Pto leave the store. I would not leave until after my rental purchase was rectified. My husband went to deal with him and was told that they would be refunding my money after 7pm this day 6/26/2019. It is now 7:43pm and there's been no refund as of yet. I will never deal with this particular location ever again and I will tell others not to as well. Online they were to be opened at 6am but the clerk was late and did not get there until 6:45am NEVER NEVER,AGAIN!

This company charged me for two days then had the nerve to tell me they are only there for the gas and the mileage i was in the store for over an hour while the cashier waited on customers making my rental late...even when i called the 800 number to complain the cashier still had not closed out my reservation...totally unprofessional!!

Have one way reservations only be picked up at facikities with other equipment (refrigerator dolly etc) had to drive to an actual uhaul that was not a gas station to pick up a dolly and boxes.

I had an absolutely horrible experience and when I have to move from VA to NJ next year and my boyfriend has to move from Northern NJ to Southern NJ. I will make sure neither of us use u-haul to make our moves. I will also be making sure to tell all my students that graduate in May about my experience so they do not make the same mistake I do when moving to their new jobs.

I was rudely accused of trying to rob them when proceeding to pick up my rental. The owner was extremely rude. Threatening to call cops. They also didn't have the dollies I rented. I will not ever rent a uhaul from them again. Never.!!! Worse experience ever!
