Gentleman who was running the place was very good. But we did leave with a 26 ft truck, drive about 5-10 miles, and then open the back of the truck to find a bunch of open paint cans and garbage literally filling the bed of the truck. Part of this is on me; I should have checked the bed before I left. But the truck should never have been rented out in such a state. It will change how I do things. I am less confident that it will change the way this Uhaul site does things.

MIKE STOKESThere is a Creve Coeur location which I rented this UHaul trailer from. After reserving it there I was told there would be a trailer there and ready for me on the day of pickup. I then got a text stating that I would need to go farther out of my way to pick it up at this location. Which was very inconvenient for me as a customer. However, I did so. The night I was to return the UHaul the roads were very dangerous. I spoke with the person with whom I originally reserved the trailer Creve Coeur (right down the street from my home). He stated that he would check it in and all would be fine. Days later, the man working at the East Peoria location called me and was EXTREMELY rude threatening to charge more on my account and report it as stolen if I do not go to the Creve Coeur facility and pick it up to return it to East Peoria. I will never do business with this company again.

Peter MacriMobile Check in process was not smooth, took longer than I expected. If I knew I needed a reference or additional info when checking in, I would have completed prior to arriving at the location. I spent a 1/2 hour attempting to check in.

I am very disappointed in the service I received from this crap hole location!!! I should have not been charged like I was buying stock in this company or that I was buying a partnership in uhaul. I will go to great links to tell people not to use this service. It’s cheaper to buy a new truck!

Julianne HilemanNot sure if this is a new place or not, but it felt like I was walking into an abandoned building that just happened to have U Haul trailers around it. When you walk into what I assume is the main room, there was just a guy at a desk with a lamp on and a banner that said U Haul. It was kind of creepy to walk into. He told me where to bring the trailer so I did, he said someone would be around to come unhook it and I could be on my way. I pulled around to the spot while someone in a chair outside watched me from a distance. I started to unhook the trailer myself when a guy who looked like he was physically unfit to be moving trailers around came over and told me he could get it. I moved the trailer myself and told the guy not to worry about it because I figured he would have struggled with it. This location is in a convenient place but it is not taken care of at all.

CHARLES FRIENDWhile this location is convenient for me, UHAUL would project a better business image if the company would provide their representative, Bill, with some assistance. This one guy, Bill, had to work with a computer system that was very slow, all while answering calls for his taxicab business. The hookup went smoothly and UHAUL still builds and provides excellent equipment. Bottom line: UHAUL customers in East Peoria, IL should not have to wait while their representative is processing calls for a taxicab. Please provide Bill with some help or separate the two businesses.
Bruce PortschellerWhile I love the extensive choices available at this location, there was no place to park the truck. Had we returned it the evening before (via cell phone after hours) rather than when they were open we would have had to have left the truck blocking other ones. But, as noted, I would prefer to have variety even with a parking issue. Truck was clean and we reported the possibility of it needing serviced as it ran very rough with too much play in the steering wheel. We will rent from here again if the occasion arises.
Patricia MoncelleWe returned the Uhaul Sunday, it’s Wednesday, and I still don’t have my $82 refund from my deposit. This happens every time I have to use my card instead of cash with Uhaul only…get it together business office

GREGORY GROUTThe guy was smoking inside the building. It smelled like mildew and was dirty everywhere. He lied about the fuel but i was in a hirry so didn't say something about ut (i guess thats my fault). He was rude and dismissive of all politeness i also now have an extra charge on my card with no explanation that im going to have to deal with. If i ever use uhaul again, it DEFINITELY will not be from this location.
