The truck had not been prepared for my rental. The windshield was very dirty and covered with smashed bugs and there wasn't any windshield washer fluid or the washers didn't work. The center console in the cab was spotted with white goop. The truck itself had a loose front end that tended to wander when on the road.Terry A.

Make them aware of rate changes/ increases. The limited damage waiver double between our rentals and we may have rented from another company had we know. Also the hold time on Uhaul line is crazy and gives false info on hold times.Michael H.

My initial reservation had been changed without me being notified so when I arrived to pick up my truck, they couldn't find my location. Luckily, a 15ft was available, but for only 6 hours, which I wasn't told about until at least an hour after picking up the truck, via text. This then required my moving plans to be altered last minute which caused a great deal of hassle and stress for everyone involved. Not a very pleasant moving experience all around. However, Giorgio at Motor World West was awesome and super helpful.ASIA A.
Not sure if it's really UHaul's fault or the location, but not having equipment when there's been a guaranteed appointment and then giving and attitude to the customer is bad. I drove 3 hours to get to a location 30 mins from the move site, and the young guy said to just go somewhere else and find a truck because he couldnt do anything about it not being there.Mary D.

If it had not been for other UHAUL vehicles parked here, the location is not well marked,Robert G.
Had to make special round trip of 34 miles to take in key..next day because area was roped off ..even though it said facility should have been open. Attendant responded next day ..very short and rude , said he didn't feel like coming in the day before...almost turned around after handing off key to speak face to face about possible better customer service but didn't think it would matter. Won't go back! Maybe he was having a bad day? But not the way to do business.ROBERT A.

I signed up for a mobile pickup. Van was locked up Until 9 am when office opened. Sensor lights were always on and I was told to Ignore them. Did not get any mileage readings because sensor lights were constantly On saying truck needed service. Pick up Place was a dumpjack K.

Man running the shop literally barked at me as I was trying to figure out where to put the truck after hours. There was no signage or obvious place to leave it, however he happened to drive up to the lot right as we were considering leaving it in the next door lot. There was no hello or good morning, just yelled at me for even looking at his neighbors lot....consider signs if you are going to offer after hours drop off without having a parking lot. Wasn't wearing a mask and didn't seem to care.CHRISTINA G.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I frequently read them. I felt compelled to share my experience as I as I see several negative reviews about this location and thought I could provide a positive balance from mine. We needed a 26' truck for a move from Santa Cruz to Auburn. Looked online for the truck and this location had what we needed. Checked in online and Scott got back to me and said I could pick up the truck the afternoon before the rental day to get an earlier start in the morning. We intended to just have the truck overnight, but during the move concluded we would need it longer. We called Scott and he said no problem. Just bring it back by the end of the following day and we'd just be charged for the days used and mileage. The move went fine, the truck worked well and met our needs. Scott was fine to work with and overall our experience was good. I see a lot of posts commenting about U-haul's shortcomings. I've rented several trucks for various moves over the last couple of years. I've had challenges in scheduling, pick up location, etc., but with a little effort have been able to get what I needed and things worked out. My reason for coming back is I like the lower deck trucks U-haul has and the overall cost, which from my experience is considerably lower than the other rental companies out there. Also the quality of their equipment seems to have gotten better over time.Rick V.

When I first walked in to the location I was free by a teenage boy who smelled of marijuana... despite this he was extremely friendly...didn't know where his appliance dolly was had to call the owner (his father) to find the location...he hooked it up and everything was good...returned the 5x9 with ramp trailer 6 hours later the owner Scott was there doing paperwork and the moment I entered the office he was cussing and saying the government is trying to fucking screw him in ever way possible...I said well on that note I'm returning the trailer and I would like to keep the dolly for one more half day I'm having issues with the washer he said I don't give a shit about your issues or drama....are you fucking capable of backing in the trailer? I looked at him and said well geez I'm just a woman let me see if I can...so I did ... waited for him to unhook it and he said your done I told him I wanted I final receipt he said he only does emails than walked away..I returned the dolly at 10am the following day ..the next day looking at my bank records he charged my account $90.97. & $ $45.49...I drove back and showed him he said I was being ridiculous and it was a deposit I told him your son never told me about a deposit...and why was I charged a deposit after I returned it????? I told him to reverse the charge and he told me no it will come off when it comes off stop being dramatic...called him today 12/24 and he said he is not going to do nothing and hung up on me I have three different receipts from him where he charged me a trailer I didn't even rented ...he called me and left three messages on my voicemail after I returned the trailer telling me to return the trailer....he is very unprofessional and he is trying to rip me off I want my money back immediately!!!!!Tamara P.

The problem is not the location but your company.. I have used you four times in the last 6months and you are batting 1000. You have screwed up every order, which I make at least 2 weeks in advance. In this case I order a 15 ft truck with ramp and you gave me a 10 ft with not ramp so I had to go purchase a ramp for $100.00 - the only reason you get the business is your price is half of what your competition is .so I put up with your B/S and have back up plans which are based on you screwing your customer.Raymond B.

Freindly and helpful folks! Just great. A customer came in looking for this piece of equipment. I was not due in until 12. However, he called on behalf of the new customer to see if i would be in by noon, or sooner. Living close by, i took it right down. He did right by the new customer!Gloria M.

Tried to call uhaul several times to no avail. Frustrated. When I did sign up and order you had me picking up at a private residence. And another place. Then to the final pick up. Confusion and stressfulDan B.
Stood in the doorway for minutes before I was even acknowledged. Guy stayed in the phone the entire time and ignored me. A lady finally asked what I needed so I explained I was returning a truck and trailer. She told me to put the keys in an orange box outside. Nobody walked the equipment with me or checked me out. Interesting. Tried to use the website to checkout but it wouldn't let me take pictures of the equipment. Called the 800 number and made sure someone knew I returned the equipment.Brian R.

Never got my furniture cart but didn't stop them from charging me three days of use. They were busy and I felt rushed after waiting for them to finish a call then having them rush to help a customer who wanted to buy a vehicle instead of taking time with me. I signed no papers, didn't review the order properly or they would have given me the cart they still charged me for. Overall negative experience and WILL NOT use that location again. Also, UHAUL ... when we do remote drop off any you say a member will contact you with 2 days to resolve the issue; and then a week later just charge me, you aren't helping the cause!Michael F.

The pick up location was an hour away from my house, it was reserved for 20 min away so I had to pick up a day early as to not delay my moving day. This was a surprise 24 hours prior ,at the last minute which I think would upset most people. Luckily I'm flexible.WENDY W.
