The steering and alignment on the truck I rented was horrible. I felt very unsafe. The steering wheel had way too much play in it and the steering felt poorly responsive. I have a commercial driver's license and I have driven many large vehicles and I have never had so much difficulty working to keep a truck properly in its' own lane. I do not believe that any U Haul representative drove this truck before me to check on its safety before giving to another customer. I have lost trust in U Haul.Beth K.

Beat U-Haul rental location in the nation by far, I rent at least 2-3 times a month in different states. Moose is the most fantastic location to rent from! The app required to do a drop off needs work. There should be an option to drop off a vehicle with or without using a smartphone. I tried endlessly to "share my location" on my iphone, but the website just did not work. It was a big pain. Eventually, I just took pictures of the truck and dropped my key and contract in the drop box.Ross M.
Had a 10 AM pickup scheduled for Crozet VA. At 10:30 AM I finally received a text that the truck needed to be picked up in Charlottesvile, which is 30 minutes away. A total screw up in the scheduling. Will se another company next time.BARRYIRWIN G.

If you're doing an after-hours return like I was, don't forgot to log into the app/website BEFORE dropping off the key! I forgot because I read it weeks prior and was rushing, but was lucky that the staff at Moose's was kind and helped. If this happens often, Moose's staff might want to remind customers that booked well in advance! But overall a great experience- thanks!CATHERINE O.

The trailer I rented had significant debris from previous rentals, including broken pieces of wood, very pointy screws, furniture knobs, etc. when I told the guy over the phone he seemed completely disinterested. We did the entire hookup with minimal assistance, just made sure to take a picture on his phone. The location is very convenient, new management is way better than previous guy.ANITARACHEL O.

The road into this location--Quarry Road--is in terrible repair and really challenges your trucks and trailers and what's in and on them. If this were a restaurant or department store, the road condition wouldn't matter nearly as much. As there are only two businesses who use Quarry Road, a very short but heavily pockmarked road, it would help all of your customers tremendously if the road were maintained, even just a little.Michele R.

I have rented from several locations within Charlottesville and I have to say this location BY FAR has been the BEST! The young man that checked me and out was down to earth, friendly,SMILED and helpful. I rarely see anyone anymore that has a personality in the customer service field. The problem wasn't the location, but that Uhaul set up a hand delivery of the keys when the store was closed. I had chosen to pick it up by my phone to be contactless, but my reservation was by hand delivery. When I arrived, the store was closed and it was only by luck that an employee walked out when I was standing there and was willing to help me. Uhaul shouldn't allow hand delivery for keys when the store is closed, and I was very frustrated when I realized this had happened.ASHLEYMARGUERITE G.

Reservation was switched to a different location (50 miles away!!!) and different equipment (open trailer instead of closed trailer)with NO notice to me. Luckily I had called location early in day to verify reservation and they said no equipment available, then I called traffic coordinator who said location had three units exactly like I had reserved and switched my reservation back to original equipment and location. Why didn't original pickup location do this for me? Why would they not tell me that there were units available that matched my reservation? This experience is extremely disappointing!!!!! I had booked reservation April 4th for a May 23rd pickup. The type of equipment and availability was critical to my planned move and to have it capriciously changed without notice was a shock. Again U-Haul made no attempt to notify me of this important change. Totally unacceptable.Edwin B.

Be professional. Uhaul called me to inform me they don't have what I have made a reservation for almost 2 months ago, just a day before puck up. Can u believe that? Then they adjusted what I needed and sent me a text to puck but up at 4pm only to be lucky enough to arrive there at 2pm just to meet the clerk who was closing down and shutting the door. She was even surprised when I showed her the text that I was supposed to pick up at 4pm.AKWASI B.

Drop off was VERY frustrating. The sign said check in on line. Couldn't get a signal. The sign also said Free WiFi yet the WiFi was password only with no password. So I couldn't log on. Then I called the IHaul number and after sitting on hold for 25 minutes I hung up and just dropped the keys. My fear was that I would be charged extra if I didn't confirm that I brought back on time since the office was closed. If you are going to require people to use online then provide WiFi.Bondy G.

None of the lights, turn signals and the brake lights worked on the trailer I rented even though when the rental agent said they worked when he hooked the trailer to my truck. It was very concerning considering I was on the highway and had said to the agent that I was travelling out of state with the trailer.DAVIDBRIAN A.

The self guided pick up process was terrible; it ended up taking half an hour of my 4 hour reservation because I was waiting to be approved. It totally defeated the point of providing any information ahead of time. The staff at the pick up location were not helpful either. I definitely will not be using U Haul again.Grace B.

Addison, who helped me at pickup and drop off, was a very professional and polite young man and very thorough in explanation and very helpful and generally encouraging about the move. It was too glitchy on the website for me to have "24/7" rental service and felt captive in the parking lot waiting to check out. Hours of operation are very limited. It was very difficult to return the trailer due to having to use the Uhaul app. The location services on the iphone don't work well in that location.george E.
Big sign outside advising how to drop off truck after hours. Specifically stated go to myuhaul.com. I was unable to connect then, (or any day since). The next day the employee said that sometimes the website doesn't work but it wasn't necessary and he had already processed my return. My advice: Fix the website or get rid of the sign.David J.
