The person at this location is perfectly fine just doing his job. I'm sure the project manager of Polk County is probably a nice guy. But his Judgment on a person based on a prepaid card shouldn't be so Judgmental. And sure shit shouldn't have bad feelings about a person and state it via speaker phone not knowing the customer could hear it.BALDEMAR R.

I wouldn't recommend this location to ANYONE! I got charged $80 for an intown truck for $19.99. she could barely explain. When I swept it out, like you are supposed to, I found some one else's car keys!! so the location obviously don't clean their trucks properly. I worked for uhaul for 2 years in Idaho, and this just blew my mind. Use a different location if you can.kristopher H.

The clerk was not wearing a mask. He told me to drop the key in the slot when I got back. The truck was still not checked back in 24 hours later. I have no idea what I was charged.todd B.

The mobile check-in has a flaw. You need to add a note that when an additional contact is added, they need to answer a phone call from u-haul to verify. It's not abundantly clear and very frustrating to enter number after number and have it reject your entry even though you know it's a valid number. I ended up having to call customer service and it took them quite a while to straighten it out - also - that is when I found out they had to call the number vs. just have it on record.Jason L.
Clean outside and inside of vehicle. Don't add on unnecessary charges like environmental fee and license recovery fees. It should also have unlimited mileage.Sheryl T.

The drop off site was closed on Sunday when I dropped it off late morning. I thought U-Haul was open 7 days a week. I was nervous about leaving it there with nobody there to check it in. I took pictures to verify the trailer arrived there in case there were complications. But as I was leaving, Steve, the dealer came out and said he would check it in on Monday, today, and I see that he did. So all is well. He said if I had issues about the equipment I should call UHaul. Very tiring to call UHaul with long waits, enless canned messages, and rare chance to actually talk with a live person after terribly long waits. Hope my description of the trailer dolly here is sufficient. Bottom line, UHaul dollys got me from Texas to Oregon, and I am grateful. Couldn't have done it without this service. So, thanks.renee S.

Fix your App so we can use the truck share properly. The work around is to open it on a website and that usually works.Jay V.
I rented a utility dolly but the guy had no dollys. He handed me the wrong keys for truck. Then he did not go over the truck at all with me for damages. No customer service per say other than check me in and hand me keys. He closed early for lunch so I put keys in the slot but he came to the door and did not offer a receipt or anything and basically said I would see charges when he charged my bank card. Poor service from what I'm use tooDebrah F.

The agent said just to leave the dolly in in the yard after unloading my car. He did not come out and inspect the equipment nor for that matter come outside at all. The yard was not visible from the office. I returned the equipment on a Wednesday and did not receive a receipt for return of the equipment until I called corporate on the following Monday.Darla W.
I use the share app, so all I needed to do was show my phone to pick up the key. Uhaul has greatly improved their app and no real drama. might be a bit of a wait but usually no more than 2-4 minutes.Jay V.

First of all uhaul should never have sent me to a place that has extremely limited packing supplies. When I called to rent the truck I called a Salem office. I told them I needed supplies. People that are moving are usually on a schedule and don't want to drive to several locations to get supplies. Aren't you in the business to make money??? Why would you do that to a customer. And we have to examine the truck and take pictures of damages? And you want me to rate you? Apparently you do not care about your customers.David S.

The website mobile feature did not work on multiple occasions, causing some extreme complications as I needed to pick up the truck when the office was closed. I selected the 24/7 pick up (and had emails confirming such) and it did not get communicated to the office. I spent forever on the phone with uhaul and they could do nothing (but give me a difficult/impossible to redeem $50 credit) And then when it was finally set up to do the mobile pick up, the next day, the mobile interface didn't function. I had to resort to going into the office, which I made are was open while I was picking and drop off. Even the people in the office couldn't get the mobile feature to run on an iPhone 6. I strongly so not recommend using the mobile afterhours features (at this location or anywhere).Melissa N.

Placed order for 20' truck with car trailer on 5-8-19 to be picked up in Salem, Oregon. Night before pickup was told to pick up truck and trailer in Independence, Oregon. Went to pick up truck and trailer on 5-17-19. Truck was a 26' with an undersized trailer for our car. Truck was too big for our driveway in Idaho. Uhaul system was down and Jason in Independence called his area manager for instructions. A 20' truck was available in Monmouth, Oregon but no car trailer anywhere in the area. Decided to for go the car trailer and just drive the car to Idaho. Picked up 20' truck in Monmouth and had to return to Independence for furniture dollies and dozen blankets as there were none in Monmouth. All the Uhaul personnel we dealt with were extremely helpful, especially Jason in Independence and the area manager. A 50.00 discount was offered from the area manager but we're not sure it was applied. The problem with the website and the seemingly lack of effort to insure the right truck and trailer were available at the requested pick up sight seemed to be more an internal Uhaul problem. It would have been nice if Uhaul would have had shuttle drivers to insure the right truck and trailer were available at the appropriate pick up site. Uhaul had a week to insure that our request was fulfilled. It created a more stressful situation on top of an already stressful move. Please thank Jason and the Area Manager for their tireless efforts to make things right.Kim G.

Never even came out of back office. Just said leave trailer next to a U-Haul truck. Offered no assistance on unhooking or moving to the spot he wanted it. Went back in to see if he wanted to check trailer or if I could receive anything showing I dropped it off. He said no on inspecting, without ever even looking at trailer and no there was nothing he could provide me showing it was even dropped off.Marvin H.

I arrived after dark, at 5 pm on a Sunday. I was told this location was an after hours drop off and I couldn't find any orange box or any safe location to drop off key. There was uhaul merchandise outside unlocked and accessable to be stolen. It was pitch black dark and there were no safety outside lighting. No after hours information what so ever. Very frustrating, unsafe and not a good experience. Thankful for 800 number service rep because I was a pissy bitch.CRYSTAL Y.

Selected noon for pick up but the location was closed from noon to one for lunch. Employee couldn't find key for truck we had requested so we took a larger one. We wished we had gone to another location after we agreed to the larger truck. That's our fault for excepting it.Jeff O.

My main concern was that, when I was done moving, I went to start the truck to bring it back to Monmouth and the truck had died. I hadn't had the truck open very long, about 20 minutes. The battery was dead on the truck and the guys got mad because we asked him to jump the truck. He blamed the dead battery on the last renters. There was a U-Haul dolly in side the truck that was loose and not a part of my order.Rebecca A.

We used the u-haul website to set everything up. The pickup location ended up being about a 40 minute drive from where we were supposed to be able to pick it up (and we had reserved it 3 days before we needed it) and the rates we were charged were NOT what the website said (and I had verbally confirmed the rates with the guy in the mini storage before we signed for the trailer).Mark H.
