Filled out the all of the pre check out items online to expedite the check out process only for the merchant to walk me through the entire process again at the store. Was charged for 2 days when I return the truck the same night. I have pictures and video to support. Mileage was increased to over charge me as well. I surely will not use uhaul or the mini mart againJOHN M.

Truck was extremely dirty, power ports did not work, emergency brake did not work.GLENN C.
First, we weren't told that gas needed to be filled up. The employee just said to take picture of the mileage. Therefore when we got to the location the employee said we can fill up the gas or pay $44. Of course we took the truck and filled up the gas ourselves. When we returned there was no parking available for truck. The employee told us we can park at the lot by the recycling bin. When we went to park there we were told by someone else we couldn't park there. It took us an hour to drop this truck off and checkout. The employee made it difficult with the parking situation. My husband went into the truck 4 times because of it. The employee was not helpful . This location was terrible and I would not recommend renting from here.Aleris R.

Good Morning, I used a UHaul from the Minit Mart Market the other day. I had a few issues. 1st issues is they had a lock with a code fro the truck. When I arrived they did not know the code so I had to wait 20min until they could figure out the code. When I returned the vehicle I had an issue as well. I was quote $5 to use 6 pads and I was charge $10. Also I was charge for the hand truck and I did bit use this as well. The last issue I had was when I first called I tried calling the Point Loma Uhaul. Since they did not have the truck in stock they said the closes one is 3 miles away. The Minit Mart Market was. It 3 miles away. I would like to file a complaint and would like a refund on the items I did not use. I also feel like I should be compensated for my time and stress.ALEXANDER M.

I drove 20 miles and paid 18 dollars to fill the gas tank.I paid 4.17 per Gallon... not sure how I used over 4 Gallons of gasoline in 20 miles. I mean 5 miles per gallon is kind of unheard of. Overall service was good, the customer service was good, just a bit expensive for me. Gracias.ROBERTO L.
Maria was very sweet! She got us in and out in no time. They didn't try and sneak in extra fees. They were very black and white. When we returned the vehicle they just asked for mileage and a picture of the gas tank and that was it! The UHaul experience I had was truly terrible.Â I booked the UHaul Tuesday, five days before I needed it, to be picked up at the PB location. I was moving and had something to pick up at 5pm. When I got there the cargo van UHaul I had booked wasn't there. The only ones available were larger ones that wouldn't fit in my parking port. I waited an hour while the attendant called UHaul customer service. The woman on the line was incredibly rude, told me she wasn't here to help me, was in a different department and hung up on me. The gas station attendantÂ can verify this.Â After a considerable amount of time, the only option given to me was to uber - again- as I had ubered to the PB location to pick it up - to the Linda Vista location which is miles away. Once I ubered there I picked it up but had missed my 5pm pick up, so lost out on that completely, which was one of the reasons I had booked the UHaul in the first place. I was also told that to drop off the UHaul at the PB location would cost me extra, so I had to go out of my way, add miles - which put me over 100 miles- and took tile out of my contract to drop it back, and get another uber all the way home.Â When I went to pay the balance there was a $50 charge ADDED to the bill. The attendant at Linda Vista had to override this charge, as I had been told it was to be deducted as the van I ordered wasn't available. I had such a terrible experience I would absolutely not recommend UHaul to anyone.ÂStephanie M.

Location was good and very convenient. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Actual rental time of use was not accurate at pickup due to issue with Uhaul site. Was unable to upload photos at beginning of rental or return. Again, staff was quick to assist making the overall experience quick and easy. Will contact location directly for future rental.ARI D.

The truck was parked in an area that was very hard to back out of, the worker was not able to really answer any questions I had, and the right passenger side mirror was broken making it even more difficult to back the uhual out of the difficult parking spot.Joel R.

Customer support said I had to upgrade to 15 foot truck because 10ft truck was unavailable. Stated I would not be paying the price for the upgrade. I was charged for it.Marie H.
I normally do t do this but I'm gonna take my time and tell you guys about my scary experience. The truck I picked up was full of junk.. I checked all parts of the truck but I didn't open the back and check the back when I picked it up, cause I never had any problems with uhual , it was always easy and fast and no problem at all.. BUT NOT THIS TIME.. I called them as soon as I found out the truck was full of tree bushes, and one guy said he acknowledged the problem I had. And When I went to drop of the truck, there was another guy says this is my problem I can't return it until the truck is clear.. And making phone calls and things like that.. I was really scared... it was a sketchy little market run by couple rude guys! Anywho.. make sure to check ALL parts of the truck when you pick it up guys! Cause apparently Sketchy people are using uhaul to make their business nowadays!Esma Q.

The truck was dirty inside and out. The truck should be fully wiped down between people. The inside cab looked like it had never been wiped down. The back had a lot of black debris. Well it took over an hour to get a truck. The clerk was so busy and the link he sent me to photo copy my CDL would not go through. Then a 2nd clerk appeared thank God, she seemed to be more familiar with the process, then I got my receipt and my vehicle, hallelujah so I thought. The truck had been vandalized, their was no liesence plate. And upon further investigating the cab had graffiti all on the dash. They gave me another truck and finally if was off to move. The txt to evaluate the truck expired before I had a chance to use it. I called Uhaul and asked for another link. That failed to go through as well. Over all I made this nightmare a pleasant dream. Kudos to the female who swooped in and saved me from throwing in the who dealBonnie D.
Truck was muddy in the cabin and outside. Staff did not accompany me before pick up and after drop off. Convenient location but I had some expectation about friendliness of the staff, also could be more helpful I have been charged dolly and blankets which were sealed and not used. The location was fine. It's located inside the Mini Mart in Linda Vista. The associates were also only okay. They didn't really help me bring the dolly and the blankets to the truck and just told me to go to the back and get the truck. They also did not inspect the truck with me. It was not enjoyable. Drop off location was difficult to find where to park vehicle. I had to go back to grab the dolly and hand deliver it. I had to wait, while the cashier constantly cashed out other customers. They did t seem to know what was going on. Having to photograph the: Odometer Vehicle location Cleanliness Etc With my own device seems offensive That uhaul is passing off business obligations and work onto the customer.Jeff R.

They did not have the size truck reserved at the pick up time planned and had to put in a smaller truck than I needed. They took way to long at pickup (30+ minutes) and at return (20+ minutes) to process me, even though I had done everything ahead of time online. The cab of the truck was not clean.Russell F.

The attendant did not have proficiency in her duties. Waited 35 minutes to rent the vehicle while she figured out the system. When returning the vehicle, I waited for her to deal with another customer in the same fashion only this time it took 40 minutes to return the vehicle. They were nice, but they did not know ANYTHING about uhaul, when I arrived they were FaceTiming someone else asking if this button was the right one to press, and proceeded to help the same customer for 30 minutes... after that there was a large line of uhaul customers looking for uhauls that they reserved and were not available. I just wanted to drop it off, they made me wait for around an hour... as they tried to figure out what to do. In the end all they did was make me take a picture of my mileage and gas and took my keys... what a terrible experience I would not do again.Paul Y.
The only reason I put two stars and a below average rating for location is because the location, if you're not familiar with the area, can be a little confusing, and the place where you actually rent the uhaul is in the liquor store on the corner. The parking lot is small to navigate but otherwise ok. A little odd, but, besides the location, service was great, the vehicle was great and I definitely recommend renting from here to anybody.
