The location itself was fine but no ideal as it was quite a way from the location, I reserved the truck for. I understand trucks may not always be available, but there should be some compensation on the renter's part besides a few extra miles. There should be compensation for the time to get from this location to the original booking location as well, which in my vase was over 30 minutes away. Service at location was just ok, not a lot of personality or customer service skills. Felt like I was intruding on her. The truck was comfortable and maintained, though the back of the truck was not cleaned or swept out.

Vehicle had sand on floor. Not a big deal to me, but always raises the question of "am I going to get blamed and charged a cleaning fee for this?". Web based vehicle check-out/check-in process was fine up until it was time to submit pictures of the vehicle. I had taken extensive pictures of everything and had already dropped the key in the return before I realized that the web app won't access pictures that had previously been taken from your photo library. This was a big miss and I had to forward photos to a friend and then take pictures of their phone screen to get interior pictures of the vehicle. I obviously wouldn't have dropped the keys prior to logging this information had I known it would become a problem, but didn't realize what was needed until I began the process. I thought I was getting ahead of the curve with my preemptive photos and didn't realize it was a part of the return as I hadn't had to do it with previous rentals. Please make access to photo library a feature in future updates as it would have been greatly helpful in my situation and likely in many others. I know that privacy is on peoples minds, but their are ways to allow granular access to photo libraries with today's technologies, so this should be non-issue.

I initially ordered this 15' truck online and went directly to the location in Grandville to pick it up. The women in the shop pulled up the request and started the process. I had, when online, put the option to have towing available if stuck in snow, in my cart. It was snowing that day, and the roads were bad. I did, in fact, get stuck in the snow in the UHAUL truck. I tried, for over three hours, to call the mini-storage place for help. The phone there would just ring. No answer, no voice mail, no answering machine. Finally, after three hours of trying, I went online using my phone and reached someone who had me take pictures of the truck being stuck and send them to her. She then informed me it would be $415.00 to have someone come and tow out the truck. I mentioned the towing option and was informed that I didn't have that. I said I chose it and was told there was no record of it. So, on top of the rental fee, I had to pay for a tow. I can't believe for three hours no one would answer the phone, the option I chose for towing wasn't on the form, and that the truck was not cleaned out when I got it. I will not be using UHAUL or Mini Storage ever again.

Your apps is terrible, not user friendly at all! . I had to stand by the U-Haul box for half an hour, finally I had to called the customer help line for assistance! Very bad experience with U-Haul apps!!

I reserved an 8am pickup arrived at the location checked and was informed it was changed to 9am. Had to call customer service who was great! Then had to drive an extra 10 miles to get a truck. Couldn't drop off at the same location and had to get a ride back to my car. Not ok!

What a horrible experience from the moment we pulled up to the the place where we were told to go by the email and text we received. We were told we had to go somewhere else 10 min away. We fet there and there sustem or your system was not working.. so we waiting 30 min for them.. then we get no contract.... no printer. The truck was loud and smelled and had no pick up. Barely got to our destination. Returned it early. The drip iff guys was cool. The rest was a disaster and a horrible experience. I will not be using uhaul again.

Don't promise customers a truck if there isn't one available! Our original pick up location was Richters Self Storage. There was no truck for us there even though we reserved one online. We had to go to another location, making us late and causing a lot of stress.

I rent from uhaul several times a year as I do pop up markets for my retail store. This was not the truck that I reserved and the location didn't have another available that fit what I had reserved. This ended up being a huge expense (due to gas difference). It also was much more cumbersome to drive and park, it also was too large to fit in the area I was bring my goods to. Overall this made for a bad experience!

To start with, this was not supposed to be my pick up location. The truck was supposed to be at boxer storage in Allendale. So I had to drive a extra 20 miles. Then uhaul charged me extra money for mileage when it was their fault.

Tell people ahead of time that the alternate contacts will have to be available the moment of inscription. I wrote my alternate contacts and had to add 2 more, not knowing that they would be called or corroborated that second. It was highly stressful and time and energy could be saved.

The app is atrocious. When trying to order a truck, the price was so random for each search that it was like a puzzle to find the right truck/location. For example, if I type Allendale, MI for pickup, I will get a completely different price and deals then if I were to type in the zip code of Allendale. It was the same way for the drop off location too. And when I try to confirm anything on the app for pickup or drop-off, the buttons don't work so I have to go to the browser and start over. Had to sit in the parking lot for 30 minutes after pickup time just to confirm my identity with a representative. Fix the app please.

I did not receive my contract initially - which created some issues with refueling and returning the truck. Also, the truck had a good 2 feet of snow on it when I came to pick it up. That was an unexpected challenge to deal with. Otherwise, it ran well and did the job.

Thank goodness that Crystal was there. She was very informative and helpful for being a dealer. We tired to do the mobile online check in option, but the Uhaul servers were taking forever and we wanted to get on the road. The vehicle was clean, but has seen better days. The brakes were questionable and the starter/battery barely started. The photos when confirming the vehicle were for sure from when it was new, it is not that anymore. We want to do the mobile check in again to avoid lines or wait, but seems like the process is still new for Uhaul.

I called to ask if I could drop it off at this location instead of where I originally selected, because my car was there. I was told it would be ok and just a $40 late fee plus 40 cents a mile over 190 miles. I bring it back fully fueled and cleaned out, and was charged over $280. Management said that it's 99 cents on Fridays, which I was NEVER told at all. I honestly feel cheated and downright misled by U haul. FFS my original charge was $180. An extra day cost $283? Please.
