It was a good experience but I did receive a call at 2pm asking when should they expect the truck. My contract was for 24 hours. However I was ready to take it back and it was good to know I could. I was just caught off guard by the call. In another scenario it would have made me feel pressured

The staff man courteous and efficient. The truck was very dirty and only had 1/8 tank of gas. Should have 1/2 tank to start and be vacuumed out.

Our pick up was supposed to be at the Valero on Washington in San Leandro and was changed without our knowledge to Hesperian in San Leandro. This delayed our starting time but resulted in working with more friendly people at the Hesperian location.

Need more help at this location . When I arrived to pick up the rental I was asked to wait outside the office while the attendant parked a return rental . I was asked again to step outside the office when I returned the rental vehicle so that the attendant could unlock a storage unit and use the restroom.

First time renting a haul and I must say the customer service I received was excellent. Tony guided me through the rental process. He answered all my questions. I was in and out of the place in a few minutes. It made moving less stressful. I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. ??????

I do not have any comments for improvement since the rental pick up was quick, I had made my selection online already, and the gentleman who helped me at the counter had my van ready within 10 minutes or less. The van drop off was fast as well since I used the app to complete the rental return without any difficulty.

Chose the phone option to rent to make it simple. Cashier told me that I had to go through him regardless. when i came back to return it he didn't want me to follow the given instructions on my phone, instead said he would return for us. This morning I received a call asking where the truck was which prompt confusion. I had to call back again to make sure the guy had actually returned the truck and then he finally returned it and sent me a receipt. overall it was really annoying, if i choose phone rental please allow me to just use my phone to avoid confusion.

1. The 24x7 didn’t work. I still had to talk to the guy working there and all the app would do is say “you have to check in at 9am” 2. The guy didn’t verify miles before he took it. I only traveled 6 miles and was charged for my estimate, 15. 3. There was an issue with the tires not sensing that the air was full. This waisted my time and ultimately forced me to just take the rental back without finishing my transport. I would not use this service again.

Make sure they go over all policies before giving customers the keys. the employee that rented me the vehicle never told me i needed to put gas into it after using it before I left with the Uhal and before i returned it never let me know that i needed to put gas back then called me said hey you did not fill the uhal back up with gas and charged me a 20 dollar fee which i argued wasnt fair because they never told me that but yea i will never rent from that location again

I’ve rented from this location twice. The first time the equipment was clean both on the inside and out. The second time the interior was clean but the exterior had lots of bugs and spiderwebs like it was on a long trip. In general the customer service of all the agents has been excellent.

I was a little surprised that there was no instruction given on operating the truck. I know how to drive, but it was very different than the vehicles I was used to. How do I turn on the headlights, the washer/wipers, etc? Just a little walk-through would have saved me several minutes.

1) Actually bother to put the key in the lockbox!! I had to wait until the place opened, which negates the whole point of a “24/7” truck rental 2) make it clear that you cannot rent any extras (furniture pads, dolly, etc) from this location. Well, you can pay for it, but then it won’t be there and you’ll be surprised and have to run to Home Depot last minute!

Guys had a hard time trying to re-run my card when I had prepaid. Said it didn’t go through on the pre-pay but it had. Hence they spent 20 minutes trying to re-run a card that had already been run. They called the Oakland office and finally got it straightened out but my “quick check in took about 45 minutes as a result. Also...they really didn’t have clean pads for me they had to scramble to cobble together 12 of various quality and cleanliness. Also...there was gravel all over the floor of my “clean” truck. Bad experience threw me off Schedule.
