We were unable to process the return on our phone because, no matter what we tried, the uhaul website would not recognize our location, even though location was allowed for uhaul. It was an extremely frustrating experienceJohn D.
I already called to log my complaint with regard to the appalling experience I had at this location. Now I come to learn they have overcharged me, charging me for a full second day for what they claim was 11 minutes over 24 hours. Unfortunately they have misrepresented both the pickup and return times and I have proof. I expect an immediate reversal and a phone call from the regional manager responsible for this location.David H.

The vehicle I rented was a 10 foot box truck. It was in superb condition and had no damage or flaws. The only bad thing I would say is there was a minor ant family living in the truck which when I started driving they decided to start to crawl all around. The app to pick up the van did not work. He wanted information I had already entered like my license, and it wouldn't let me into a phone number it's impossible to put dashes in on a cell phone. Luckily the people who work there were there so I was able to pick up the truck. They were very kind and helpful.MATTHEWW M.
Have face masks available so idiots like me won't have to run to closest place to buy on. Other than coffee an donuts.. Seriously the staff couldn't have been more helpful and professional. Of course they had no choice but to kid me about the mask. I have rented from two different place locally this staff should train all uphaul local staff from other locations. When I returned van in an obvious state i never want to this again. she went to the cooler handed me a cold water bottle with a smile "you need this" how right she was. I can not remember ever being able to write a review and not have some glitch.to mention...not here prefect 100 five gold stars. please share with staffPeter L.

I reserved a pick up truck last minute they told me that they don't have it and if I want to cancel my reservation horrible serviceBeshir Z.
They knowingly over charge me miles when I told them it was 16 miles not 25 miles and continued to process the bill and when I got the bill I said you did not change the miles, now they said you need to call u haul, which I was in hold for 2 hrs, they suck and never again will I use u haul, THIEVESRobert D.

I can not thank the very nice lady enough who assisted in getting my UHaul truck at 100 Locust Ave, Cortlandt Manor, NY on 4/17/21. She was extremely nice, helpful, and even made suggestions on how best to have a successful rental. She also suggested I take pictures of the truck and rental equipment inside the truck when picking up the truck as well as when dropping it off. I was so thankful for her and her customer service that I tried to give her a $20 tip, but she would not accept it and only wanted to assure I would have a great UHaul rental experience. It is because of her that I will continue to use UHaul for all of my family needs. Gracias.RONALDGRIFFITH W.

Drop them as a vendor. They give you a bad name. they put products on my bill that I never requested nor used. Were completely inflexible when it came to discussing and adjusting the bill. They blamed every error on U-Haul, not them.BRUCEANTHONY B.

The passenger door rubber wrap came off immediately and was a problem the whole time we were in the cab. It was on the truck frame of door - the staff were very nice. I returned the truck 30 minutes late. If I would have been told you're being charged for another day- I would have kept the truck. To say we will send you the statement via email is unfair practice. We should get a receipt and have a chance to dispute- I rented the check for one day. I took it at twelve- I returned it within the 24 hr window. Why was I charged for another day???sally A.
Really struggled with pickup as I arrived late as I traveled from PA, the key code expired and really had difficulty getting help from customer service. It took me an hour to access keys.Michael P.

This was the worst service I have ever seen! It was a traumatic nightmare. I was informed to pick up the trailer at 100 Locust Ave, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567, at 8:30am. It is about 30min driving from my home. I arrived about 8:35am. I went inside and said â€œGood morningâ€. There was 2 people inside, nobody answered me. Two minutes later, one of them asked me â€œAre you here for U-haulâ€. I answered: â€œI come here to pick up the trailerâ€. Then he ignored me again. After a couple of minutes, he told me the trailer was not ready. I have to wait until they rent the trucks out. The trailer was blocked by the trucks. Well, they have a lot of space to move the trucks and later on they proved this point. He went outside and I followed, he told me that I had to come back for the trailer. I said: â€œI can't come backâ€¦..â€ Before I could explain that I came from far away and I had to move to a place that is 300 miles away, he shouted at me â€œThen don't come backâ€. I asked â€œWhat do you mean?â€ He said: â€œThen don't come back!â€ I tried to explain, I need the trailer early. He didn't even let me talk. I decided to call headquarter. He shouted at me to get out, go to my car to make call. I asked why, he just said â€œget outâ€. He even charged out of the counter to me. Well, I was there for the trailer, not for fight. I went out to my car in the rain and made the phone call. Apparently the lady at headquarter asked them to move the truck and gave me the trailer. Then the other one (I guess he is the manager) moved the trucks and gave me the trailer. On the phone call to headquarter, I even asked if there is anywhere else I can get the trailer. I was so scared and I don't want to be killed just because I was renting a trailer. I can 100% sure that I will tell everyone not to go to this place for renting a U-haul! I can't even believe this kind of thing actually happens. I hope that they treated me so badly not because I am a minority. But who knows!ZHIYONG H.

Having a complete blow out 20 hours into drive was a complete nightmare and a bad reflection in Uhauls equipment rental service. There needs to be thorough inspection and maintenance of equipment before they are rented. It appears these vendors simply shelter the equipment for the next customer and do not really do much to make sure they are safe to drive. It took 2 hours for the repair technician to get there. The guy was excellent but it took a long given how busy he was. Not his fault. Uhaul should had given me fully maintained equipmentLEONARDOR G.

Add location to your confirmation texts. Wasn't clear which location I had reserved at until I went to the website. Also a little more info on how many gallons to use to refill estimated usage. I put in 10 gallons based on the tank size but it was a little shy and it cost me an additional $16.50 I wasn't expecting. Overall great service and 24/7 capability is such a convenience.John P.

I was charged for an extra day plus additional charges for "Safe Move" although the vehicle was returned before the end of the business day yesterday, 12/07/2020. I was very displeased with them attempting to make this additional payment TWICE as this was not discussed at the time we wanted to rent the vehicle. I would like a refund for the additional charges as well as a refund for the overdraft fees that have occurred as a result of 2 attempts to retrieve money from my account this morning, 12/8/2020.Jasmine O.
Parking was a litttle difficult; there's not much space and the curve in the road makes it difficult to see incoming traffic. Luckily I had a friend with me. I would recommend customers bring someone to help park for safety reesons if they are parking on the weekend and no personnel is working.Alyssa T.

The online return feature is quite the rip-off and I will not use the online method again. We returned the vehicle slightly after the drop off time (traffic) but were charged a full 24 hour rate for next day, plus extra insurance. I use U-Haul regularly, but in this case feel ripped off by being "charged" for 24 hours of service I did not benefit from. Nice way to make money for U-Haul in a nefarious sort of way. From this particular vendor we will rent their in-house vehicles, not U-Haul (cost over $100 from what the private rental would have been). I have received no call-back from the customer representative with on my query. REALLY. BAD. SYSTEM and using COVID restrictions as a way to make money. DEPLORABLE!HANSERIC T.

I had no intention of traveling as far as I was told I had to pick up the van because my local dealer did not have one available for a one-way trip. This cost me 2.5 hours the day before my move. I was supposed to pick up from Port Chester and I would have been there and back in 20 minutes.John P.
The whole process was terrible We spent from 5:30 to 7:47 trying â€œfinishâ€œ the whole process online to get the vehicle. When my the time I requested was from 6pm-8pm. This is the second time I ordered a U-Haul online and it's has been the worst experience of my life. No convenience just headaches. I had my two children in the backseat while I had to deal with what I thought would be a 10min process. I want nothing but Compensation for the inconvenience it put me and my children and wife and my movers. I will not be doing U-Haul ever again, I will not recommend till U-Haul gets a better system. The money I spent on the first trip this month was 300+ I could have ordered a moving company And today I should have paid someone for their vehicle. Poor customer service at that I call the 1800 # many times and had gotten no one. This is awful.Carlos M.
